I had Appliance Work out to repair my oven and after I paid for the repair I found my oven was not working properly. When I called back to have them come back out they told me I needed to pay another $95 service call fee after they did not even repair the problem I paid them to fix. They then told me if the part THEY brought and replaced was defective I would have to again pay for their labor! The GM has absolutely no customer service skills and refused to do the right thing so my recommendation is to stay clear of this company! read more

Called Appliance Works to repair a frig that was not cooling and they got me with 2 days after I told them I had a spare for now so I could wait. I called for a damaged waterline to my Refrigerator last Friday as it was leaking all over the kitchen floor. Riley T. came to the house and accessed the problem was a damaged inlet water valve. He shut the waterline off and ordered the new valve and returned on Monday to replace the old one. Riley is very knowledgable and the service was quick and accurate. Had a loud buzzing noise coming from our GE refrigerator, on and off for two weeks. Chris came over right on time as scheduled, isolated the noise to the Evaporator Fan Motor. Took things apart, cleaned the fan/motor and all seemed quiet, but he wasn't 100% sure just cleaning the part would solve the problem. Let's give it a few days and see. 5 minutes after he left the noise started up again. Gave him a call he showed up within 10 minutes, replaced the fan/motor with a brand new part. January 2022: Just had them out to repair another issue with our 23-year old GE side-by-side refrigerator. This time we were getting a thick layer of ice building up on the bottom of the freezer. They cleaned out the drain and that seems to have solved the problem. The price was around $135. It was easy to schedule them and they were right on time and friendly. After doing lots of research I decided to go with Appliance Works due to the reviews on here. I was truly disappointed with my experience! I had their technician come out to check out my washer that wasn't working. I was sent a quote for a new motor for over $900. When I called to get a better understanding of what was wrong and why it would cost $900, I was told the technician would call to clarify. Without receiving a follow-up call I called back the next day only to be told that the quote I was sent was actually wrong and they would send me a new one. The second quote was over $600 less, how could the technician be that far off? That was the first red flag and I should have stopped working with them then, but since it was the holidays and this was for a rental and I wanted to get the unit back up and running as soon as possible and I was already in for the $75 for service call I told them to go ahead and fix it. We knew we would have to wait a bit due to holidays and shipping - totally understandable - but I was told they would contact me when the part was in to schedule repair. Instead, after not receiving a follow-up call after waiting for the time period I was told I had to follow up only to find out that had called my tenant directly to schedule the repair. Frustrated they didn't call me - owner and one paying for repair - but I thought okay at least it is going to be fixed. Day of repair technician comes out to fix the unit, great! Only afterward I was sent an invoice for the wrong price AGAIN! So yet again I had to call them to get a correct invoice. In the meantime, my tenant called to let me know that the dryer that was working before the technician came out to repair the washer was now not working. (washer and dryer are one unit). I called back and they promised to get a technician out the next day. The next day a technician comes out takes a look at the dryer and leaves without opening the unit. Only after he left did I get to connect with him only to have him say, someone had been in the unit prior and there was a stripped screw so he wasn't able to get in without possibly damaging the unit. I get not wanting to do more damage without approval, but why not call me when at the house? Why wait till afterward? Now I am left with a unit that is still not working because he didn't try to open it or try to call me when on site. He mentioned he thought it was the blower, so I called Appliance Works and asked to send a quote to fix the dryer. I was told I would be sent one that day. 6 days later - New Years' in between so I was trying to offer grace with holidays I still hadn't received a quote, so I call back yet again asking for a quote. When I was finally sent a "quote" there was no quote just a note saying think it's the blower but don't know because didn't open the unit. Seriously? Who sends a quote like this? How am I supposed to know what is wrong to fix the unit? When I called to talk to a manager they apologized and offered to have another technician come out but seriously by now, I have learned my lesson with this business. Don't trust them! I had to chase them down for correct quotes more than once and then have a technician come out and not even open the unit to determine what was wrong - who does that? That's the whole point of having someone come out to determine what is wrong. Save your time and money and book with someone else!!! read more

I have no issues with this company at all. I called one company prior to calling them, they didn't serve our area so they gave me the number of this company. The technician showed up and was knowledgeable and informative. He immediately figured out the problem and even showed me where the problem was stemming from. He ordered the part while still at our place and he said he would call as soon as he could. I wasn't expecting such quick turn around. My washing machine was fixed and working again with a two day turn around(even with having to order a part). The repair was quick and he even took time to answer a few questions on his way out. Whirlpool factory authorized repair--I couldn't even book a visit for one month as all slots were full. Am I happy with my repair? Absolutely!
