Scott was awesome and took care of us. Backstory, we have a 1.5 year old whirlpool front loader. It started making sounds like a sawzall was going off. Scott opened up the unit and found out the main spindle bolt had physically sheared off. He had never seen that happened before and promptly ordered the part. FYI, whirlpool was contacted and they would not cover the entire cost of repairs knowing it was a defect during the manufacturing process. I am soooooooooo happy I called these guys - washing machine was making a loud noise on and off for a few days, thought it better to jump on this. Service was scheduled for Tuesday Feb 1st but, I got a call yesterday saying Ty could be here today - he called to let me know he would be here in 5 minutes and...he was a half hour early. How great is that? Ty was excellent, so friendly and knowledgeable, he knew exactly what the issue was quickly. On Saturday I waited for the technician, he did not arrive. Later in the evening I noticed a missed phone call from the technician earlier in the day. He was running early (that never happens) - got a call first to confirm arriving early was OK. He arrived looked at it, tried a couple of things and said I needed a new ice maker. I received excellent service for the repair of my washer. Cristina and Brett were friendly, professional and skilled. I had googled trouble shooting the problem and saw that it could possibly be a sensor problem. I mentioned it to them and they directly went to that problem, fixed it efficiently and all is good. Then then did a diagnostic on the washer see if anything else might be a problem. I had actually also called another repair service for a second opinion. Without looking at the problem he gave me this answer over the phone: he told me that since my LG washer was 10 years old that I should not bother with the repairs and just bite the bullet and purchase a new one (for close to $900.00!) I called and spoke with Bobbie- regarding our LG 2018 refrigerator that was not cooling properly in the freezer. She scheduled an appointment for me for a day later. She and I talked about the possibility that this was part of their notorious problem with compressors that conk out after a few years. She also reminded me that there was a class action suit against LG for this problem. She was wonderful to deal with on the phone. Jorge came out on time at the earlier portion of the service window and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional during the entire visit. He evaluated the problem and was able to determine that the compressor was indeed failing and that the refrigerator had actually begun to have the refrigerator portion (not just the freezer) begin to lose cooling -it was at 62° not 36 as specified. Jorge gave me our options to contact LG directly to get service and the compressor replacement done under the warranty which was still available. Obviously I would be without the refrigerator for sometime. Also, he explained that they can do the work for $1200 or so if we decide we don't want to wait & go through them. Or, of course we can Purchase another refrigerator & perhaps keep this one as a back up; which we could do if we subsequently have LG come and repair it under warranty. Jorge was also kind enough to double check our little wine refrigerator & show me how to do a couple of the features The bottom line is that we had a reasonable service call fee which can be applied toward their repair should we decide to do that. And as in the past, I am completely delighted with the service from Jorge and Bobbie and Appliance Works. This company has restored my faith in the ability of a service company to take care of its customers they are an excellent company! Thank you!! Previous service review: We needed to have a buzzing or vibrating oven sound checked out to make sure there were no electrical problems that could cause a home fire. We called and spoke to Penny and she was able to get us worked in for the next day which was awesome! Ty Came out actually arrived early and called to make sure it was OK which it was. He was friendly and professional. It was kind of a tricky issue but he troubleshot what could be causing the problem and after all is said and done the most simple of things turned out to be the issue the oven was just vibrating when it heated up and expand it and contracted it needed just to have a shim if we chose to do that herself under the perimeter casing which over the years had perhaps loosened up. So no expensive repairs were necessary he ruled out electrical he ruled out the fan and bearings; very deliberate. So we ended up just paying the $75 service call and we happen to know how much it would cost to put in a new convection fan if it's ever needed but in our case it's just that the event is over 12 years old and finally starting to show its age but nothing dangerous or impeding its performance. It was a pleasure doing business with Appliance works; Penny and Ty were a delight to work with: great service and great value! read more

I spoke to Tara and she was able to squeeze me into today bless her heart. Chris the repair tech arrived on time was very courteous, replaced my broken washer drain pump replaced both of my water supply lines and cleaned up any mess that may have been there. Now my washer works and NO noise. Whoot Hoot! Chris also helped me by answering some questions on a dishwasher and gave me good advice. Thanks for going that extra mile! They may be a bit pricey, but I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for! Plus they use OEM parts. I would definitely use Appliance Works again! read more

This is the email I sent to the company and never heard back from them. "I am contacting you because on 10/2/19 your service technician came out to my home to fix first the handle on a dishwasher and two, replace an oven light you will see as the additional charge on the invoice 53354-1. Although Sam did fix the caught on the door so it locked by adjusting the legs as he showed me it was shutting properly. He was in the way of completely opening the door (on the floor) and it wasn't until now that I entered the property after my tenants left (who don't use a dishwasher) to find the door on the dishwasher would not open completely because the base plate at the bottom of the dishwasher was obstructing the door I could not believe it. I had a handyman look at it and the base plate had been put on backwards are you kidding? Then I had my handyman check the oven light I was told was told "Oven needs new lighting harness parts and labor 226.1053354-1" . Well this is false, because my handyman pulled out the burnt out bulb and replaced it with a new bulb which I paid your company 35.00 to do and it is lighting the oven just fine. When I arrived that day, your man was already inside working on the dishwasher and told me he had already tried to replace the oven light but the socket was bad and I need to replace it to get the light working again. Well, he lied to me obviously. I am really pissed I had to hire a handyman and pay hime after I paid your company135.00 to fix not create problems, So there was an attempt to rip me off for repairs I didn't need and additional your employee lack of quality repair work actually caused further operating problems with the dishwasher that cost me more money to fix." Our cloths dryer of 20 years finally decided to go on strike and quit. Scott Marin came to our house, appraised us of the probable cost of a repair, then reviewed alternatives, including replacing. In the end, we elected to repair the appliance. Scott came out the next day and not only replaced the motor but cleaned it and looked at all the other moving parts. Our bill was exactly as expected. I'm so glad I found this company on my NextDoor app! A few neighbors had recommended this company and so I thought I would give them a shot. I have had several issues with my GE Profile refrigerator and had received bad service in the past so I was a little hesitant to try someone that was not a GE Certified repair center but since the GE Certified repair center did not have any openings till the Friday before Memorial Day I figured I would call these guys to see if they had anything sooner. Sure enough they were able to see me the same day, which was Tuesday when I called. The technician's name was Christine and she was very knowledgeable and listened to me when I went thru the issues I had been having with my fridge. She was nice and empathetic and explained to me what my fridge was needing and how long it would be to get the part. The nice thing is that she would have the part expedited and be back on Thursday to install it. True to her word she came back Thursday afternoon! The issue was my compressor had gotten clogged up and had to be replaced. She also did a deep cleaning so that I wouldn't need to clean it for another year! The other nice thing is that the service call fee went toward the repair so that gave me a bit of a discount off the full service! I called another company (Valley Services) the week prior. A tech came, looked at it for a few minutes and then told me they're not experienced with gas stoves and would need to call me later. Days went by so I decided to schedule with Appliance Works. It was an easy fix that Tyan took care of in minutes. He also taught me a few more things about gas stoves which will be very useful in the future. Appliance works will be my go to if I have future issues. We had issues with our new(er) refrigerator's ice maker. I did some research and decided to give a couple of appliance repair companies a call to get quotes. A couple of them never replied. Appliance Works did almost immediately. I scheduled an appointment and Jorge came out. He diagnosed the fridge and found some errors. Came to the conclusion that the ice maker kit was bad. He had to order the part because they didn't have it in stock. We had to wait a few days but it was all good. Once it arrived they called us to come back out and replace.
