On…read moreWednesday I notice water at the base of my refrigerator and thought "oh thats a couple of melted ice cubes" cleaned it p and didn't think anymore about it however it happened again on Thursday so I started to investigate. All the water hoses were connected and not leaking so that meant it was underneath the refrigerator where I couldn't reach. Who to call? I started the search for a reputable repair shop and was glad to find such good reviews on Hugo's Appliance LLC. My call was immediately answered and the scheduler stated who she would assign my work to and they would call me as soon as they could as they were on another project. Short time later Eli from Hugo's called to hear me describe the problem and assure me he would be over to look at the appliance. I was so impressed with a number of things, how personable Eli was, how efficiently he diagnosed the problem, and his knowledge on older JennAir refrigerators ! The valve replacement had to be ordered and it might be delivered in time for a Friday repair but if not they would have me up and running on Saturday morning. Saturday morning Eli came prepared to finish the work and I am amazed at how organized, and efficiently it all went. Even better was there was NO mess to clean up afterward. Eli also did a few extra things like vacuuming the base of the refrigerator thoroughly so the motor didn't have to work so hard and he checked all of the water lines, inquired about the filter and last time it was changes etc. Just a thorough review of my appliance. Overall I am thrilled with the work done, the rates are reasonable and it is clear they genuinely care about their clients. I will be calling Hugo's Appliance LLC for all my future appliance needs and recommend you also keep them handy. Great team of people you can trust!

i went in to metropolitan appliance on memorial day weekend and had done my online research and was…read morepretty certain what i wanted in terms of a replacement slide in stove. jacob a approached me and ended up helping me. we spent over an hour talking about options and discussing standard coil vs induction/glass top. i wasn't going to go that route but jacob is very thorough and not pushy at all; multiple times he stated that his goal was for me to purchase something i felt comfortable with and would be happy to own. i appreciated that. ultimately i decided to go with a frigidaire model that was a drastic improvement on the stove/oven i've lived with for two decades. he took care of the payment paperwork, the scheduling of delivery which had to wait until now and also all the communication between us. he was also kind enough to send a follow up email alerting me to being eligible for a rebate based on the model i had chosen. today, the delivery folks showed up within the stated window and i'll just say that the tracking system clients are sent to know when to expect the delivery is magic! it helped a lot to be prepared and to have cleared the adjacent space but it left no guessing for when they would arrive. jorge and his teammate (sorry, i didn't catch his name) were professional and efficient. they knew how to handle the extrication of the old appliance, how to set up the new one and insure it was level, and they walked me through basic operating instructions. all told (and i haven't yet used the appliance) i have been very happy with the level of service and courteous communication from this business. it makes me want to provide their name to others who are in the appliance market and to use them again when i next need a replacement.

Talk with the salesman who is the only person who is genuine in this experience and he sells us on a Maytag for $2700 and have installed same day. Long story short, the water line was not installed properly and leaked massive amount of water behind the drywall, under the wood floor and heavily saturated the carpet and the owner is hesitant to do anything about it. He gives me "this happened at our house and everything was fine, I've been around a long time and have had my own experiences" BS. He send over fans and a carpet cleaner.......4 days later.......i have known the Shaws a long time and when it wasn't the sons running it was a great business. Instead I get "what do you want me to do?" Ummmmm. If you have had so many experiences you should know what to do. Instead I had to tell him to send someone other then an employee "contractor or someone in construction field" to take care of it. Kudos to the salesman, the only asset at Shaws. Otherwise stay clear of this place. The only and last thing we buy from this establishment.

I stayed at home and watched for the truck. At 730 pm on Monday and no delivery yet! I call the 800 number for distribution center. They forward me to the local store (60 miles away, this is rural). The manager at the store sees it was ordered, processed (they have plenty of stock), but they did not see it actually having been loaded that morning for delivery! THEY sent me the email saying it was coming. They "processed" it, but did not load it???? WTHeck. Manager sees it in the system for delivery, but nothing was loaded, so will try to find the drivers or the delivery team manager to figure out what is up! HOW does a delivery notice get sent to email, yet the product NEVER got loaded? Shouldn't the email come after it is loaded? BAD EXPERIENCE. THEY told me to be here today. Not like I picked it. American business is FAILING. We USED to make it happen.

I was able to find a photo we snapped when we discovered it. I wish we had taken more and recorded video as we pulled out the rugs. Underneath these newer rugs were dirty rugs.
