We recently had a situation where our vehicle got totalled and needed a replacement quickly. We only had our vehicle for 8 months , so we had nothing saved for a down payment. wow. I can not thank everyone who wrote a review on this page enough. the experiences here sound very similar to mine. First, I was lied to and told they would have me driving away in a car I love that day. wrong. they told me credit wasn't an issue. wrong. But honestly I can get over a few lies. what is really hard for me is the blatant greed taking advantage of people who are already having trouble finding something. I have always had pretty good credit, however recently lost over 150 points due missed payments on my student loans. but I will NEVER BE desperate enough to pay nearly 32,000 for a Kia when you can't even tell me out loud what the Interest percent is. they tell you what you want to hear, lie about the cars they have for sale, lie about anything really just to get you to come there. tell you it's worry free, but then it's problem after problem. I wouldn't have cared paying more for a car or even high interest but these reviews are horrendous. i could feel the slime and scam all over the place the vehicle are dirty and smell they look water damaged also. but when you only need to sell one car a month to stay in business because of the markups, I guess theirs a sucker born every minute. it's isn't going to be me. Ive been trying to find a car for a while now and I had a lady call me from Appleton auto and I told her that I had bad credit and I didnt want to come in and waste my time. She assurred me that there were a few cars in the price range of the 199 a month. And I told her I didnt have a down payment and she said that was no problem. When I went into Appleton auto they said they approved me and only had one car available but I had to have a $6000 dollar down payment. If I had 6000 dollars I wouldnt have been there. Extremely rude & unprofessional. I saw a car online, so I sent an email request for info. Before they contacted me, I read reviews about the dealership, which were horrible! I have good credit, and don't need their financing, so I skipped all of the financing reviews, but the reviews about vehicle reliability, and how they handle issues are also terrible. So, when Katrina called to respond to my email inquiry, I told her that I'd read some terrible reviews online, and had decided to look elsewhere. She immediately got snippy, and said that the bad reviews were about the financing companies, and that people who are extremely happy, don't write reviews. Then she immediately hung up on me. LOL! The caller kept interrupting as I was explaining my situation, I explained how that was rude and she disconnected the call. Called back and asked if that's how you represent the company, of course it was my fault, asked who is her manager and was told she was.. She kept exhaling a deep sigh as I was speaking, on both calls. All I asked was why so many questions and do they have any 3/4 ton diesels in their inventory because I didn't want to waste their time or mine. Ask yourself, is that being aggressive or rude? Be warned! I have been here twice now both times were very sketchy. The first time I went I told the man my price range and that I have a car but it is getting older and am looking to upgrade. He had a car pulled up for me to test drive before he even told me about it. (It was a tan, automatic, Vw sedan, those are 4 things I don't like) went for a ride any way but the whole trip was a Waste of my time. The next time I went it was for a specific car they had advertised, I called at 3:00 to ask if it was still available, the guy on the phone said it was and even gave me more info about it. When I arrived to test drive it 30 min later they said they didn't have that car any more and the salesman said he didn't recognize them as having it recently. They also didn't have anything that would be similar. I don't need financing they took my ssn anyways. All in all not terribly professional. Went in on the 12th of April And purchased a 2018 Grand Cherokee only for the next day it wouldn't even start. they then "fixed it" not even 3 days later the check engine light came on so back to the shop it went and has been sitting there ever since. We wanted to reverse the sale, I'm not paying for a vehicle that I don't have. Jimmy who is apparently "Management" had no care in the world that A vehicle that they sold off of there lot was unreliable and could have caused ALOT of accidents. I went car shoping with my wifean we stop at this dealer to check the buick encore,We test drive the vehicle. when i got back to the dealer and I ask what kind of waranty the car have the anwer was 30 days. plus he said that all the vehicles in the lot have been check and they where worry free. Two weeks latter the engine ck light came on, I went to the dealer and the sales man "Ian Brunnet"(who happen to be the person who sold us the vehicle) took the car to they sevice then he came back and told us that the code on vehicle is for the catalityc convertor and that he have to ttalk to the dealer ower who happen to be out for couple days to send the car to the buick dealer that he will call me back.another two weeks pass and I went to the dealer to check and another guy who check the vehicle said that he got the light off and hand me a piece of paper with auto select phone number and told me if the light come back on to call and take it to them. Well the light came back on and I took it to auto select where they said that they check the vehicle and the codes are for the catalityc and the turbo that the car most go to the buick dealer. I contact Ian and he said that he have to talk to the dealer owner. He call me back saying that it's been too long and the waranty expired already and because we Din't took the extended waranty there noting he can do. I told him that I did contact him before the waranty expired and he was the one avoiding me. I made an appoitment with my lawyer to see what we can do in this case. The ONLY reason I am giving this 3 stars instead of one is because I managed to run into a friend that I've known for many years. I called and spoke to someone named Matt. Matt told me everything I wanted to hear. I told him about my car that got stolen and that for some reason my insurance payment hadn't gone through so my insurance company wasn't going to pay for the loss of my vehicle. He said it wasn't an issue and that my income alone would be enough to get me into a vehicle. They weren't even worried about my credit.(I knew it was false) he even went as far to say that my STOLEN vehicle could be refinanced and rolled into the new car loan. I told him that they can't refinance a stolen vehicle especially since I don't have the vehicle. He assured me it would all work out. I did some research, read some reviews and found a lot of complaints when it come to salesmen being dishonest. So I called back and told him ALL of my concerns. He once again promised me everything was good and GUARANTEED I'd walk away happy. I told him I was really interested in an SUV with leather and GPS because I have a 100lb service dog and I travel a lot. I told him I really like some of the buicks I see people driving. He said that those are a popular car and I'd have plenty to choose from. He said the only way you won't walk away with a vehicle is if you don't like the car or you don't like the terms the bank offers. I said hmm I guess y'all have changed your policy within the past two years. He said yes ma'am. I then said "ok so to clarify you're telling me I can walk in with little to no money down and walk away with an SUV that I love, and the only way that won't happen is if I don't like the car or the rate that the bank has corrected? You guarantee that?" He said "Yes, that's what I'm saying." I asked him about all the negative reviews? He said "a lot of those people who left reviews didn't take advantage of our big sales so they weren't happy because they couldn't get into a vehicle. I brought my truck into the dealership for a trade and wanted to get into a smaller vehicle. They looked at the truck and showed me trade in blue book for the truck and said it is not getting that much at the auction so it would be 2k less... I thought if they were giving me an honest opinion on my truck they would be giving me a fair price on the truck I was looking at, right? Well not so much. I test drove an SUV and the list price they had on it was 34k but said my sale price was 28k. This is where the kicker comes in, I looked over all the options and since we all have smart phones, I looked up KBB on the truck. High value on the SUV was 16k. Really? That is what you came up with for a fair price? I then went back after hours and almost EVERY veicle on the lot was priced almost double KBB value. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY!!! Use the same tools that the dealership uses to value your trade. This dealership relys on people with bad credit to make money. I helped in the purchase of a 2016 Kia Soul for my Niece 30 days ago. After a few weeks it began to shake and steer hard. We contacted them because it was within the 30 days of purchase they told us to check our warranty and do what it said to handle the repairs. So we took it to a licensed auto shop as our warranty told us to. After inspection it was found that the tirods needed replacing, this was covered under the warranty so that was great. As they were tearing the car apart they found that the strut was broken and needed to be replaced. The strut was not covered by warranty. So I contacted Appleton Auto in Appleton I was put in contact with Chris the General Manager. I explained the situation and that it was less then 30days and that I felt this should be taken care of by them. He said he would check with his boss and get back to me. A few days later he got back to me and said if they were going to pay for it, it had to go to the auto shop that they use. I asked him how the bill for the work already done was going to be taken care of. He stated he didn't realize work had already been done and would have to check with his boss regarding payment of this bill. This went back and forth for 2 weeks. Chris would say he would call back and wouldn't day after day. It finally broke today I was a little angrier when I called and demanded a resolution today or I was coming in there. About an hour later he called and said the first part of the bill was paid to the auto shop we went to and he hung up. My Niece contacted him back regarding the appointment for the strut repair he told her the appointment time and that he had given that shop our warranty information but if it wasn't covered the bill was our responsibility... Wait then why did we have to take it from our chosen shop to your shop? We were told it needed to be taken to that shop so the bill would be covered because the car should not have been sold in that condition. Now you say we have to pay for it. I don't know why things have changed. Since the bill has been paid now trying to get any information out of Chris the GM in Appleton is impossible. Salesman that helped did an awesome job. The reason for the one star is, once they have a sale it's all lies from there.....the car we purchased was a car a salesman was driving around. We were told that the car would be fueled up, and completely detailed. Well here we are 2 weeks later with someone else's cigarette ashes and non smoked cigs in between seats, fries also, back seat were all sticky and shit laying under them, someone's toe prints on the windshield. If you buy from them makes sure whatever they tell you they do right away. I also had to put my own air in the tires after buying it!?! Literally drove off the lot and stopped to put air in. Great sales people. Chad and Grady were very helpful even though it was an uphill fight due to my income and recent bankruptcy. The reason for the bad review is the financing and the fact they show you one car and then tell you its out of your price range but brings another car similar priced. I signed a finance contract on Tuesday August 29th and took the car home and got a call Friday September first telling me there was an issue with financing. They kept my daughter with her 17 month old son for 7 hours on Tuesday, every time Grady , the salesmen, told her to go the finance manager would say no you have to wait. My biggest issue is that if I am told there is a deal in place I do not want to be called two days later and told that they messed up. Now they want me to sign a new contract for 100.00 more a month so instead of 357 it will be 451. So I guess when you sign a contract at Appleton auto just use it for toliet paper because obviously thats all its good for. read more

When I resisted they did show me a vehicle but it was over my budget. They said I could put $2000 down and they would approve me but it was still out of my budget or i could get a co-signer. Well checking Kelly Blue book on the vehicle it was between $7000 - $8000 over priced. When I told them it was over priced they said they would knock the price down and I would be approved with no down payment or cosigner! Really? How did things change in 2 Days? They told me on the phone that we were approved for a loan and guaranteed to be driving home in a new car, well my wife and I were all excited and drove the 60 miles round trip to get our new car! We got to the dealership and Katrina had told us to ask for Scott, well apparently he is the owner and doesn't work with customers. Went to Appleton Auto because I have bad credit and had a buddy working there. From the moment we went in they found a car and rushed through the process. Before I had a chance to blink they had the deal closed with us. They gave us a car that we were told was going to be a deal because they had unfortunately broken their policy on not giving out loaners and as a consequence someone got into a fender bender that left the car with a couple scratches on the front and back bumper. They put an inflated price on the car to make it seem like they had knocked almost $10000 off of the price which even after my trade in turns out is what the car is worth in pristine condition. When my girlfriend took the car home we only had 1/4 tank of gas and the car looked like it had not been vacuumed in a year. I waited to post a review until we got into the summer and the cars AC was not working. We called multiple times speaking with Kelly the finance manager about coming in to get the AC recharged. She told my girlfriend she would call back and proceeded not to. After we left multiple phone messages with her that weren't returned my girlfriend decided to stop in and see if she could just get them to recharge it on the spot. The manager at the time told her that it wasn't covered under our warranty and too bad for us. I am now spending $130 to recharge the Freon in a car we bought at most 6 weeks ago now. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP OR ANY AFFILIATES OF THIS DEALERSHIP. This place falsified my documentation on my car, we discovered they had ran our credit multiple times, after buying the vehicle. We then discovered our documents were invalid. We found a lawyer, started a lawsuit for taking advantage of our credit and social security number, the owner personally called and said we had to surrender the vehicle and they would get us into a new one. We brought the vehicle in, they got their papers signed to surrender the fraudulent file and took the keys for the car and did not follow through with their promises to get us into a vehicle with the correct file done. The owner Jimmy then stopped taking our calls. This place is a scam, will falsify your documents, run your credit score after you have purchased your vehicle and screw your over!! Their customer service sucks, all the sales guys sit in the financing office without informing any customers what they are waiting on. They could be in the middle of a bunch of customers and they will all disappear together in the back to smoke a cig, but come back smelling like marijuana. And with 1500.00 down brings it to $7995.00 for a 2002 with rust! And kbb says 4000.00.. My guy got his car a 2015 mazda 3 for 13500.00 with NO RUST.. So how does a 2002 Taurus be close to price as a 2015 Mazda 3?? This place is a joke.... They don't even help...
