The food was average. Our server was awesome... but.. the manager was going from table to table bragging about a fish he caught. The problem is he spoke in full voice at the booth directly behind us for 15 minutes. My wife and I couldn't even hear each other talk. We went out for a family dinner to celebrate my father's 91st birthday. We all put in our orders and as always it took about 20 minutes to receive our food. My father ordered the 6oz sirloin, medium rare. When it arrived it was cooked a little less than rare which wasn't a huge problem. The problem came when he tried cutting his steak, the meat was so tough he could hardly cut through it. We called the waitress over, told her and showed her that he couldn't cut his steak. I'm not complaining about the waitress, she did what she was supposed to and asked if we wanted to order anything else. We declined because everyone else would be done before he got his food. The waitress went and talked to the manager, who took a whole $3.00 off his $16.99 meal. $3.00 off for a steak he couldn't even eat. Disgusting! read more

I've never had issues here until tonight. Absolutely rude customer service, garlic mashed potatoes with my steak was frozen cold, then stated it was cold and brings me microwaved mashed potatoes that wasn't even garlic flavored. Wings were undercooked and the manager had the nerve to tell me it was cooked just the animal was killed a different way so that why it was pink and chewy in the center. We stood for almost half hour just to be seated. People who came after us were seated immediately and orders were taken right away while I had to sit and wait. My husband and I frequent Applebees as he thinks they have the "coldest beer in town". We always have a great experience. The staff/team are super friendly, welcoming and want to make sure you're having a good experience. They are very accommodating for vegans! - I ordered the chicken fajitas w/out chicken and cheese and sour cheese. They changed the rice for me to white rice. Because the rice it comes with is made with chicken stock. - you can also order the chicken stir fry and get it w/out the chicken. Very pleased with the employees and service. read more

We went there for a late lunch. And both my husband and I got the rib lettes. Our waitress seemed nice but she didn't warn us about all the bones or take our order correctly. And my husband didn't want the coleslaw that came on the side and asked if he could exchange that for baked beans. She said sure. Then our plates came out and she gave him the rib lettes and fries and coleslaw and about 6 green beans. Not what he wanted. Instead of telling him we don't have baked beans how about green beans instead. He was fine with the substitute but it wasn't what he ordered. Then we took our first bites of food. The meat had these weird flat bones. Like they just sliced the ribs down the side with a bandsaw. So every bite had bones. One of my first bites had broken up bones in it. And the bbq sauce was more then tangy it was truly gross. I didn't have a chance to take a picture before the manager came and pulled our plates with the pile of bones otherwise I would of taken a picture. I was so disappointed. My wife and I stopped in for diner tonight, Sunday 4.22.18. We often frequent this neighborhood eatery. Tonight, although the food was good, the service was terrible! We were greeted by a friendly waitress who disappeared soon afterwards and came back after a while with half our drink order. We asked for a beer glass and she never returned with it. We finally asked another person for one, and he brought it. Too bad the beer was warm by then. While we were eating the waitress never asked if everything was ok and was more preoccupied with a couple in another booth talking about their pet dog. This waitress is definitely in the wrong business and her tip reflected our dissatisfaction. I will have to think twice about returning. I've gone to many Applebees for years now and I have never had this bad of an experience. I do not know the name of our server but he only came to the table to take our order dropped off our food and we had to ask for him to get the bill (each took about 30+ minutes for him to do so). It wasn't busy at all. Their were 2 tables in his section one being ours. He just stood around talking to other workers. We got our food, the burger was soggy and the lettuce was dripping so much water it created a puddle. My Alfredo was like water no flavor and when he brought us the check he didn't even ask how our food was even when we barely touched it. Just very poor service and quality from this Applebees. Our server Darryl was FANTASTIC! Explained menu items very well...and took care of us..... We love coming on Monday burger nights because the burgers are awesome for 1 and secondly they are $6 every Monday......So we decided to with something a little different tonight The entree I ordered was meh.....I ordered the 3 cheese Chicken pasta.....pretty bland....I usually order the burgers here...because they rock! Normally, I have had very few problems with this Applebee's. However, after tonight I don't believe I'll be coming back. We came on a Monday night around 9:30 to enjoy half priced appetizers and a few drinks with friends. It's currently 11:30 writing this review, if that tells you anything. After sitting, our server took 10 minutes to come and take our drink orders. After he came, he unfortunately got three of our drinks wrong (sure, it was a group of 7, but he wrote them all down..). After we got all the right drinks he left and did not come back for thirty minutes to take our food order. While waiting to get our order taken, I noticed the table across from us also got the wrong drinks. We were hoping it would be fixed after our orders were taken, but unfortunately those were messed up too. We had two orders forgotten and the food was only mediocre at best. In lieu of checking to make sure the food came out correctly, he disappeared again... so we did not get the food corrected until another 15 minutes passed. After finally getting everything fixed almost an hour and a half had elapsed. We were very tired at this point and just asked for the checks so we could pay and leave right after we finished. However, he messed up those too (I guess the electronic system was down because we had to pay on normal checks). When we told him they were wrong, instead of talking to us he merely looked confused and walked away. After we finally got those (another 15-20 minutes) we left after a tiring and stressful night where we just wanted apps and drinks. Unfortunately, if at least the food was better I could've given at least two stars; however, even the food was subpar, flavorless, and nothing special. I hate posting after a bad experience, but this was a new level of bad I just hadn't experienced so I felt I needed. The worst part of the experience: It was a SLOW Monday night, maybe only 6 other tables in there, so I can't even chop it up to the stress of a busy weekend night. Hopefully with some staff training and communication skills they can improve, but for the foreseeable future I don't think I'll be back. read more

The woman behind the bar had to come take our order, which clearly wasn't her jurisdiction as she's the BARTENDER. Where was the server? Never been treated this poorly before, it's usually a good/fine experience (forgot a side of fries at worst) but this was appalling. The only reason I didn't leave at 9:45 was due to my friend asking me to wait 5 more minutes. I'm fairly certain this was not an understaffing issue as 2-3 servers were standing around talking to tables of their friends for extended periods of time while 2-3 were working. Its an applebees, pretty much like every applebees I've ever eaten at but with better more attentive service. Much of the food taste homogenized and "food service". Bar service is always very attentive and they have good happy hour specials. How somebody can rate an applebees 5 stars is beyond me. read more

I go quite often even tho it is hit and miss. I like the variety of food and it is convenient for me. I stayed away for several months last year as the finish on the tables was so old or had been cleaned with something that so caustic, everything (even my arms) stuck to it. That seems to be remedied. Staff has always been very pleasant and accommodating. Lighting is sufficient. Wait time is never very long. Last night I was there and we asked for a table with as much privacy as possible. That was handled well. My husband and I each ordered the combo meals with app, salad and entree. It all came at the same time!!! The waitress ( who did not deliver the food) was sincerely sorry and asked if she could take it back to keep it warm. I really try to not send anything thing back to the kitchen unless it tastes really bad or is grossly under or over cooked. I went to Applebee's on Christmas Eve this year with my family. It was a long wait, but not for lack of effort on the part of the staff. They looked to be understaffed. I ordered a double shrimp crunch, and it was good until I bit into a piece and it seemed a little off. It turns out that one of the pieces that I thought was shrimp was actually a piece of chicken, and it was raw. I asked to speak to a manager, and he apologized and took the item off of my order and asked if there was anything else he could get me to replace it with. read more

I have been pestering my wife to eat at an Appleby's. I have always like their food. This was our first visit to this one. We had the 2 for $24 special. I had the chicken and Penne and my wife had shrimp and chicken. Our appetizer was the Nikon rings. The dip with the onion rings was a bar-b-que sauce. It was pasty and had an off flavor. Our main courses were just average at best. Very disappointed in the entire meal. The ice tea wasn't even good. Appeared to have a background flavor. Might have been instant. Ate here tonight. Had the Cowboy Burger. Asked for a salad also. Asked for the salad first and got it. It was good. When the burger came it was missing the breaded onions. When asked about it I was brought a plate with grilled onions no breading on it. After I cut my burger in half it was PINK all the way from the outside to center. Barely cooked. I had asked for it no pink but obviously that wasn't happening. I brought this up to the waiter and he brought my bill with the salad removed. From there I asked the manager to remove the burger and that I would pay for salad. He told me I could pay nothing. Not going back here. Ever. read more

There is simply not a better managed chain restaurant in the country, in my opinion. The General Manager here has received numerous accolades and/or nominations as the best GM in Minnesota, etc... They in fact have four managers that every restaurant would be lucky to have... Their staff is well trained and flexible to the needs of every guest.
