I will just say it, the Onion Rings are one of the BEST I have ever had! We started out our meal with rings as the appetizer. The service was very good and the waitress kept the water glass full! I order a burger, All American burger. The egg, bacon and cheese burger was very good. The bun made this burger a superstar. The batter fried French fries were very good. I have said this before, there is something about batter fried FF that makes then taste better than regular FF. This place is huge inside but also has limited outside seating. Plenty of televisions so a great place to watch sports. I would certainly return to this place...especially for the rings!! read more

Best bar food I've had in a long time. Onion rings and chicken fingers had a wow factor when they were brought out. Could have made a meal out of just the appetizers. Great place to watch a game with friends. Highly recommend. read more

Fun place for good food and cold beer. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. It's always on our list to stop when we are in the area. read more

Glynner's Pub - Battered mushrooms - Pubs Near Me - Rochester, Minnesota

Haven't ate there for a couple of years. The place has a dirty feel to it. Their popcorn machine looks like it's been neglected. Got our menu and the first thing I've noticed was the price hike. I don't remember paying $50 for 2 beers, a burger basket and wings. Every burger on the menu is $15-16. Next time I want to spend that stupid amount on a burger, I'll choose it from a finer restaurant downtown. Absolutely no food for value anymore at this establishment so I won't be going back again. read more

This place is not just a neighborhood gem any longer as it has moved into the first rank of Rochester's restaurants. The food here is really excellent. I can sense that a personal pet peeve of the person(s) running this place has been eliminated, i.e., undercooked food, especially when fried. I had come to believe that it's impossible to find fully-cooked french fries in this town, or properly toasted bread, but Glynner's has convinced me that I was wrong. Fried foods are done to perfection here. This ranks up there in importance with the discovery of penicillin. To top it off, the service is always flawless. You'll want to go 25% or higher. Good work must always be rewarded. read more

The pub with the grub. Local, long time watering hole pouring over 50 kinds of import and domestic beer, full wine and cocktail menu and serving made from scratch cooking. Simple bar, tables and chair done in the standard sports and liquor signs motif. Free popcorn. My choice for the evening was the fish tacos, with the option of coleslaw, tots or fries. The meal arrived with two nicely filled flour tortillas with beer battered cod, shredded lettuce and cheese, tomatoes and their own special sauce. The battered cod was crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside and had a good flavor that stood out from the rest. The special sauce added the needed zest. An ample amount of crispy, seasoned fries was my side. Comfortable atmosphere with good service. #morselbliss read more

I have been here several times always at somebody else's suggestion. I never pick this place on my own. The food is just okay....not bad...just not spectacular....another one of those bars with hard seating, tables, and all open so that it isn't warm and cozy....doesn't really trip my trigger..... read more

Was just here Sunday, had to come back. The food here is delicious. Best batter fried mushrooms ever. The fried haddock also very delicious. read more

Service is always great. Everyone is super friendly. I'd give the service 5 stars. The food is okay. It can be a little hit or miss. For the most part decent bar food. 3 stars. It's a bit pricey for what you get so we don't go there as much as we used to. read more

If you are looking for a simple bar with basic pub fare you won't be disappointed. Lots of TVs on the wall but no sound. Lots of hard surfaces make this a noisy place for conversation but the service is good. Updating my review after two more times patronizing this establishment. #1: The service got worse with each visit. I must have hit it the first time on a good night, and #2: It is way, way, waaaaaay over priced. $5 for a tap domestic beer? Never again. read more

Glynner's is the place to be! The food is off the chain and the service is always spectacular. I frequent the place every time I'm in ton because it's the taste of Rochester. Other places have come and gone and claimed to be the taste of Rochester but only Glynner' can claim the title. Reasonably priced, fast and delicious food. You won't be sorry you tried. Plus free popcorn while you wait or if you just want a beer. read more

The best! Love this place. The food is to die for. Drinks are pretty good too. Huge selection on their menu and the staff is very helpful and friendly. One of my favorite spots to hang out. read more

Over priced for mediocre food. Don't bother bringing your kids. Kids meals are 5.25 and don't include a drink. Drinks are 3.25 extra.... in a kids sized glass. I cannot believe I just spent almost 9 bucks for my 4 year old to eat. Ouch read more

Best Chicken Strips in Rochester. Very loud but great food. Would be five stars but food was served on cold plates and that caused the food to cool off quickly. read more

Service was good, waitress was nice. But it was slow, probably because they didn't have enough wait staff on. The food was terrible. Things were overcooked or obviously sitting in the window way too long. Quality of ingredients was the worst factor here. Grossed out! read more

Went there for lunch with my son while waiting for his driving test. Staff was great. Food was awesome. Recommend the bad boy burger & the chicken tenders. read more

I've been here several more times since the first and I continue to be very satisfied with this place. Great food, friendly staff. Try the one pound burger! read more

Great place for a quick meal. Also one of the few places with late night kitchen (past 10pm)! Quick service and a nice pub/bar atmosphere

Nice fun local bar and eatery. Drink specials are fine and food is good. Nothing amazing about this place but nothing bad. It's a good place to hit up and pull some pull tabs and kick back. read more

I'm giving this place 5 stars because of their Texas Tornado Melt. I honestly didn't have high hopes for this pub, but figured I'd give it a try. The melt was delicious. I highly recommend it if you come here. My friend had a tuna melt and liked it a lot as well. read more

I'm pretty much here 2 nights a week (Mondays & Wednesdays) from September to May as they sponsor my volleyball team. (You buy T-shirts from them & they give you a $150 drink tab for your team for the duration of the season & you get buy 1 get 2nd 50% off all appetizers). Wait staff is very friendly, but in my experience, I've usually gotten better/faster/more attentive/friendly service on Monday nights, but maybe that's just me. There are plenty of TVs scattered all over the bar & it has a very "warehouse" feel to it (open ceilings, patio umbrellas hanging from the ceiling). They do have daily specials that change seasonally & they do try to introduce "new" seasonal items to their menu too, which is nice. They have a smaller selection of beers on tap (about 10?) & it rotates seasonally; they do have a fully stocked bar as well. Their appetizers (apparently the entire 1st page of the menu is considered "appetizers") are all pretty good, although I do have to say that most of their fried food tends to be a bit on the salty side, but if you do get any of the fried food, get their chicken tenders. They're lightly battered, hot, crispy, huge, & delicious. Cheese curds are always a go-to as are their walleye strips & fries (yeah this is considered an "appetizer"). Whenever I get the fries, I usually ask to get them unsalted, they still come out tasting great. Their nachos are huge, sliders are decent, wings are good, but ask to get them fried "extra crispy" otherwise they can come out sort of soggy; chipotle BBQ sauce is pretty good on em. Onion rings look like they were made from mutant onions as they're huge, but once again, a tad bit on the salty side, same thing with their onion strings. Overall, a decent place to head to after sports or just to hang out for a bit after work. read more

Great food at a good price. Fast and friendly service. Amazing daily specials. Happy hour! Good beer on tap.

Went here with a group of 9 people. The atmosphere was fun and the food was awesome! Great service from our waitress and although it was pretty packed, we got our food in a decent amount of time. Would highly recommend if you're looking for great pub food! read more

Glynner's is our favorite! Good food, excellent service! Thanks for taking good care of us when we visit.

My family and I are there last night. We are here for three weeks for mayo. My dad got the haddock and he said his was alright. My mom got the chicken tenders they were OK. I got the Philly cheesesteak and I asked for mushrooms on it and extra on top of that. There was hardly any on it was very dry meat and no flavor. I ordered a bloody Mary it was out of a bottle and horrible. The wait staff.... Were very unfriendly, so lazy. They sat at the bar the entire time. The place was so dirty it was gross. They could've cleaned. They should've. Will not go back again. read more

The sterile open warehouse feel makes the place echo-ey and less intimate so that as soon as we ate, we pretty much left to hang out in the car for another 30 minutes to finish our conversation! But what this place lacks in ambiance, eye interest, or even seat comfort on the inside, it makes up for it with taste. Note: If you ever ever crave french fries in this town, the only place I would recommend is Glynner's. Their fries are crunchy. Crisp. Punched with flavor. Great after-taste. Also, they need to start serving shakes. That should be a given, a natural order of food combos when getting the burger, fries bit. read more

Glynner's Pub- Glynner's is a fun filled multi-age pub that has been around for many years. The Glynn's have put a spin on an old world pub witha reasonable selection of beer, wine and classic food. As I ordered a classic cheeseburger with seasoned fries I saw a group of businessman disscusing the Twins Game. As it was 10pm I expected to be rushed out but was greeted kindly by waitress Chris. She did what most other waitress do not when deali9ng with a large group and a small group(She kept my MD refilled the whole time). my overall experience was good but next time I will try the GOOBER Burger(with PB&fried egg) The Glynn's have done a fantastic job with Glynner's Pub and expect only more from them. read more

It's close to my house so go quite a bit. Best chicken strips in Rochester, always have good food specials. I like the fish tacos as well. Decent tap beer rotation. read more

Decided to try Glyner's recently, tried their Black and Blue Turkey burger, and it was really good. Everyone it our party enjoyed their food. My wife really liked their chicken wings. Great food, at a great price. Only thing keeping them from getting 5 stars was the service, ( busy night, not enough waitresses) was a little slow, and it is very noisey. read more

I come here often. Great place to come for bar food. The best chicken tenders in town! The burgers are as good as anyone's. Service is most always top notch. read more

I know they were busy, but the service was awful. I think we sat for nearly 20 minutes and it took 2 passes by to clear the table from the last guests items. The food was cold, chicken chili was broth and ?, french dip was sent back twice by my friend because the bun was old and the meat was tough. A great disappointment for the food. Beer was good, prices for happy hour drinks reasonable and the popcorn was ok. read more

Been here twice in four days and the Jim's Monster burgers (well done w/bacon and cheese) were outstanding. The seasoned fries were quite tasty. The Walleye appetizers are the best! And of course, how can anyone go wrong with a tall glass of Guinness from the tap! Overall, my visit from Kansas City to The Mayo Clinic via Glynner's Pub has been worth the trip. I highly recommend that you stop by for some good food and drink. read more

My favorite pub in Rochester! Awesome food (you've GOT to try their chicken strips - hand battered, amazing!) Selection of beers on tap changes regularly so there is always something new to try. Service is good but maybe a little slower than some places. I like that, though rather than having the waitress coming too frequently, making you feel rushed. Televisions all around the establishment with various sports. Plenty to enjoy! read more
