As I stepped in, I was transported to 1996. It was exactly like the restaurant I used to work at in hhi. It needs a complete facelift, but maybe they can start with simply removing the cobwebs from the light fixtures. It was Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was very slow. I took us about two minutes waiting at the front door, to realize there was no employee on the floor at all. No bartender, server, busboy or hostess. We chose to finally sit at the bar, figuring I'd be easy service. After a little while wondering if the bar was even open, the bartender finally showed up. She was friendly enough and did her job okay. Not great. My husband got a soda and I asked for a smoothie. He got his soda and drank/ finished it before the bartender got around to make my smoothie. We both got the traditional burger. It was tasty and met my craving. It was odd that there was no mention of temperature preference, so they both got well done. (Not a huge issue but a little disappointing since I like medium) I noticed the mustard was empty. Dirty glasses sat at the bar station, high tops and tables were left with dishes on them. The floor to the restrooms were sticky and needed to be cleaned. The ladies room was fine. Nothing horrible there. The classic appetizer arrived cold then my mom had to legit ask them for her drink more then 3 times before they actually brought it. Missed up my sons order which all we asked was for a chicken pasta and fries and instead we got chicken tenders and fries and when I let her know it was wrong she wanted to look and give me attitude as if I'm asking for to much. Then my mothers food was cold as well my chicken penne that I ordered was more water down then my sweet tea I had. Ordered car side to go. Waited 13 min in car after food was supposed to be done, go inside to station, 2 workers on their phone, 1 eating their food, stood there being ignored for several minutes. If it wasn't for the bartender going above and beyond to come over to give me my order who knows how much longer I would have stood there. My food should have been 10-15 minutes warmer. This location should be ashamed for what was delivered via Uber eats. My friend ordered this meal for me and tipped well only for me to open the bag and see this. The lettuce is brown. There were no tortilla strips on top just one old French fry. I could not believe my eyes. We uploaded it to Uber eats to report a disappointment in what was delivered and was issued a refund. I really hope the manager takes action for the horrible quality of food that he's allowing to leave his restaurant. I will never eat at this location ever again. read more

I would not recommend eating here. First off, it is not clean which is always a problem for me. From the inside of the restaurant to the bathrooms. Our server was extremely slow although I did notice others were much faster. And the food, while hot, was not great. We had a burger, chicken fingers and salad and the appetizer platter. I ordered for the first time 2 meals for $20. Signed up online to get the $4 discount. My online order was set for 2PM at the pickup drive thru. It was served to me on time and piping hot. This Applebee's is an absolute charm. Very rustic, and unlike most Applebee's you've been to. It was actually a challenge to find because the layout is so different! But all of the charm, great food, and amazing service deserves 5 stars across the board. The spicy honey Mac and cheese was perfectly prepared, and the chicken and shrimp was delicious. If you're looking for quality and on a budget for a date night, I normally wouldn't put Applebee's up there, but this one changes that. read more

No filter needed on this sad sa-lad from @applebees. I was not eating good in the neighborhood with the Southwest Steak Salad. Dinner was delivered via @doordash and I'm fully convinced the Door Dasher ate half my food on the drive. The steak, all five bites of it, was surprisingly cooked perfectly and flavorful, I just longed for more of it. The lettuce was the saddest part, it was oxidizing and turning red and super watery. The black bean corn salsa was nonexistent, even though I did not request it to be left off. The chimichurri was a delightful herby addition. The dressing, cilantro ranch, was actually creamy and tasty. Overall though, this salad sucked, but maybe it was because I got it as take out instead of eating in the restaurant. However, I did get a side of the Crispy Red Potatoes to supplement my salad, because balance. The potatoes were the redeeming factor in my order that changed this review from a 1 to a 2. The potatoes were crispy as advertised and it was actually a large portion. They were good on their own without sauce, but even better when dipped in the aforementioned cilantro ranch. If I could give no starts I would. I just ordered food from the Applebee's restaurant here in Pooler where they offered delivery. After an hour after the scheduled delivery time I tried contacting door dash to see where my food was. In there end it was delivered. Called the restaurant and was told food was picked up and delivered to the wrong address because the other family contacted the restaurant. I was then sent on a goose chase to get reimbursed. Restaurant says door dash and door dash says the restaurant needs to contact their door dash rep. The manager never called me back after she says she reached out to their rep. So I called back. I explained that in good faith they should at least give us complimentary food. She refused and I told her I will be calling corporate and writing reviews and telling everyone I told about my service. She hung up on me. Ate here after leaving the Tanger Outlets. I have never had such excellent service! Our server Brittany was beyond excellent. Friendly attentive and well mannered...almost to a fault. Applebee's has really stepped it's game. The new design is awesome and very modern! Really impressed.
