    It seems to always be a risk to eat out on Sunday since that seems to be the day where more restaurants suffer from staffing and management shortages and issues. Our visit to the Pooler Applebees a few Sundays ago was no different. We were seated near the kitchen, at a table next to a large 8 top that still had not been cleared from the previous party. It stayed dirty for 30 minutes while we heard an argument happening between servers on whose responsibility it was to clear it. We were also surprised to be given plastic flatware instead of the usual stainless. (Photo). Service was spotty throughout the meal, no one checked on us after our food was dropped and management was never seen. Disappointing for an Applebees.

    I'm only giving them two stars because they tried to fix last night. We went out expecting a nice dinner after the place we wanted to go to is originally closed and very hard to get to so we decided to try here because it popped up on Uber. It made a suggestion and I figured you know why not we always order from them why don't we go there. What a big mistake. This was last night because we had gotten there. They originally told us 25 minutes for two people it wasn't 25 minutes even though it was for limited service so we said fine. I guess we'll stay. We should've just left at that right but we got seated a little early. The manager was very nice to us. We ordered breadsticks, two drinks and pretzels, which were actually reasonably good. That should've been the only thing we bought that night in fact, it was so good that we had before we left, but our main trees were completely ruined and they took them off our orders. The chicken was like rubber it looked freezer burnt and old and like the head microwave that it was absolutely horrible. No, we did not eat those odors. No did we not eat those entrées? We told them to tell them to take them off the order which they kindly did. This is why I'm giving them the stars that they are only too because it was that bad. They try to be decent servers. We really appreciate that but the food quality needs to be fixed. I mean this is horrible. I know it's an Applebee's but there's no reason why the food should be the way it was. It's like it was freezer dried out and not any good which it was Maybe we'll give him another chance on Uber, but that's about it. It was not worth the money that they charged us just for breadsticks if I wanted that, I could've gone to Olive Garden.

    If I could give this place a zero I would I had order a steak and I order medium well it was made rare and they forgot my sides.

    Customer service is just non existent. It's really embarrassing to walk into a restaurant and the employees are completely oblivious to anything and everyone around them.

    Took awhile to get the food...wings ok but no celery and nothing to offset that it was because the "kitchen was out of celery." Then, service was essentially nonexistent and had to catch others as they walked by to even get small plates for the appetizer. When the food did come out, medium well steak was way well done and the salmon plate had hair in it. They brought 2 mall plates (we were three so doubting isn't their strong aspect) and one had food residue on it. Waiting and waiting, no apologies or anything and eventually just grabbed the inattentive manager to just tell them to make it to go since that took forever. Did take it off the bill anyway. Not one minute of an apology from the manager. Went to actually eat it and it was as dry as a bone. The entire meal when we got back and so inedible it got trashed. Just do not bother with this place.

    Went in for lunch today and had an amazing visit. Felicia was very attentive and friendly. She did an amazing job, will definitely recommend her to my friends. My bourbon steak was cooked and seasoned perfectly! The best steak I ever had anywhere! Will definitely return.

    A simple meal.. I typically order much larger meals, like a burger or ribs. My wife put in the order for us. She ordered Grilled chicken and broccoli, with a side salad instead of the mashed potatoes for both of us. The chicken was perfectly well seasoned and was very tasty. The broccoli was soft and flavorful. The side salad was disappointing and just thrown together. We were driving by and did curbside pickup, which is very convenient. They brought it right out to the car, including utensils and napkins.

    We haven't been here in a while due to a few bad visits at another location. I'm happy to say we were seated quickly and our waitress was over right away. She was very pleasant and quickly came back with our drinks. She also made good food suggestions. Our food also came out very quickly which was nice. We had the mozzarella sticks and the spinach and artichoke dip. Both were very tasty. Some of our meals were five's and some were three's. The bourbon chicken and shrimp for one was a three. Chicken was good but the shrimps were "shrimpy" - as in small. The quesadilla burger on the other hand was a five. Perfect blend of flavors. The steak was also very nicely prepared. Unfortunately, the chicken tenders fell flat. Not sure exactly what was going on with them but they did not taste great. Overall a nice night though. COVID RELATED: the place appeared very clean, the staff all wore masks, social distancing was in effect.

    Enjoyed finding a used nacho in my salsa. Nothing like getting someone else's salsa. Plus chips were cold and old

    Let's qualify me before I make my statement. 11 years in…read morethe restaurant business working from the bottom up in Fast Food (QSR), family dining, and fine dining. Nothing surprises me. I was a former Corporate trainer for a Family Dining chain much like BWWs. I only go out to restaurants these days with a purpose. This time to watch my favorite team. After being placed at a table it took 15 minutes for the server to give me attention only after the manager asked if I was being helped. I usually give leniency to rookies. So I let it slide for a bit. I watched the Manager play expeditor rather than watching the front end floor. Big no no. The other manager was focused on ordering or inventory if the forms I saw were any indication. The customers on the table beside called the manager over complaining that her burger was saturated in grease and asked for a new one. Her fries were the same. The manager took the time to go back and cook her another himself much to the husband's delight. I saw 3 tables empty and left for another 15 minutes trashed with plates and other items while several staff walked right past them on the way to the backend. Any one of them should have grabbed something on their way back. The server then focused on the couple who came in after me to get their orders. The gentlemen in front of me wanted an iced water to go. Mind you all of this is happening while I'm waiting to any attention before the manager asked me. Once she "noticed" me, I place a simple order, chicken strips, chicken dip, iced tea with lemon. What I got was, tea no lemon. I gave up trying to get her attention for the lemon and drank it. The dip was touch since it clearly was left under the melter too long and crusted over half the dip. The chicken strips were hot, the fries were greasy and cold. So not the best experience. If they had been busy I could have overlooked it some. The place was at 1/3rd occupancy. There was no big rush, no in the weeds. No real reason I could see for the type of service. Now I know management has to place orders and the supplies have to be had. I can also appreciate the effort to get ahead so you don't have to work over after the shift ends. But, you have to focus on the needs of your customers first and foremost. Suggestions: Train your bussers to visit the floor more often. Teach your team that they never return to the backend empty handed if tables need to be cleared. I never once heard the cooks echoing order up. Unfortunately this causes cold food. Understanding the front end floor flow by management would provide better awareness of both the customer and the staff. Inventory can wait for gaps in waves especially if you're short staffed.
