We hadn't been to Applebee's in a while and decided to stop by today. When we walked in the hostess, who was not very hospitable, looked at us and asked if we were on the waiting list. Not seeing anyone standing nor sitting in the lobby area we thought she was kidding, and my my husband asked, "There's a waiting list?" Yup, a 30 minute wait when half the tables were empty. Terrible service, our waiter seemed like she was either drunk or on something with the way she was talking to our table. She then messed up all our checks and came back not explaining properly what was the problem. I asked for manager more than once and she just came back with a lame excuse and said she'll figure it out. On top of that other tables were complaining about the service they received as well. Went there with my wife and son, The service was terrible. we got booth, and the waitress come over about 3 minutes later introduced herself, and then, said she would be back. then about 8 minutes went buy, then she came to take our order. how ever this was not the same person that bought out the food. The food came out before our drinks, and appetizers. as for my food only half of it came out. I told another waitress, about this because mine was nowhere to be found, then the drinks came but still not the rest of my food, or the appetizers. I guest they told the waitress who took the order, about this, and she over and, said how sorry she was. However this did not mean anything, I heard her say the something to the people in the booth behind us, and in front of us. what a waste of money, the food was not even hot, Luke warm at best, and not a lot of flavor. Went tonight to celebrate my husband's birthday....ended up walking out within 5 minutes. 3 young ladies were at the hostess stand. We were told it would be 5-10 minutes because they were waiting for a server. The waiting area was just us 4 and one other family, the restaurant was nearly empty. Two booths on the left were occupied and I saw a server bussing a third booth. Two booths in the bar area were occupied. The whole rest of the restaurant was empty. There is no reason the 3 ladies at the stand couldn't seat us, fetch us menu's, maybe some waters and let us wait for the server there. I get that they aren't servers and can't or don't want to cover that position but fetching water and menu's is fair game. Instead all 3 of them stood there looking at one of the girl's phone discussing whether she should buy a dress she liked and whether the color would wash her out and was it "giving junior prom or senior prom." After 5 minutes my Husband and Mother were fed up listening to their b.s. chat and them not doing anything, so we turned to leave. One young ladies said "They're leaving, they don't want to wait." So another said to us "Have a great day, Thanks so much for coming!" In the most exaggerated cheerful tone that can't have been anything other then sarcasm. I had no problem waiting, but I'm not going to stand there while you online shop and chat with your friends. If you want me to be understanding of your staffing issues you can at least try to be professional and give a crap about the level of service you're providing. read more

Okay as far as chain restaurants go. All of the food is definitely frozen, not fresh. Prices are pretty decent though. Oddly enough, the French Onion Soup I got was really tasty. One of the better French Onions I have tasted. Pot stickers were good, not great. Both dipping sauces were good. One was super spicy, the other was more a doctored up soy sauce. My boyfriend got the Thai Salad. He said it was good, had a kick to it. Service was excellent and maybe my reason for 3 stars. Our waitress Kristen, was excellent. I'd go back, no major problems but wouldn't make it a priority to visit of I was in the area. read more

I did not expect much from Applebee's but this experience just horrendous. I placed a curbside pickup for 2 appetizers and a steak at around 7:10pm. Their app said its ready for pickup at 7:28pm. Sounds fair. Arrived at 7:25pm and saw 4 employees having a smoke break. 7:35pm, I called to remind them that we are parked. No apologies from them. 7:40pm my wife decided to walk inside to remind them about the food. According to her, nobody acknowledged her while 4 employees are all just chatting inside. 7:45pm the whole power in the plaza went out for maybe 15 seconds. Soon after 4 employees went out at had a chat about the outage. 7:50 after my wife asked to cancel the order since the movie starts at 8pm. Only then they said "he is literally walking out with your food". My wife walked out with our food 40mins after the order time, and 20 mins after the pickup time. The whole time no apologies. We opened our bag and one of the appetizers is missing, and also no utensils even after selecting the utensils option on their app. And all the food was room temp. I called to have my wings credited. Was passed around to 3 people and non apologized. Got to the manager to explain the situation. She blamed that they are busy, power outage, and short staffed. Still no apologies. I said, I'll stop by after the movie ends at 10:30pm. Since the site, and google says they close at 11pm. I was there at 10:30pm, and the doors are locked. Everyone inside is avoiding eye contact. Needless to say I did not get my refund. Maybe if only one of the 4 employees are to work, our food would have been on time, the order would have been corrected, and the rudeness of the manager would have not been exposed, and this bad review could have stayed unwritten. TLDR: messed up the order, food is late, and room temp. Employees just hanging out. Manager is rude. Its a bad trifecta within a bad trifecta. read more

We went to applebees today for lunch. I had the 4 cheese mac and cheese. She had the club/mac and cheese pick 2 lunch. Overall service was great and the food came out quickly however the food wasn't wonderful. She liked her food but the mac and cheese had virtually no cheese in it. It was topped with the honey crispy chicken strips. Those were fantastic but I really wanted mac and cheese. 3 stars for mediocre food and great service. read more

First off, my utensil packet was missing a knife, and my hubby's was missing a straw. My medium steak was tough. My hubby's plate included fries, but no salt was provided. By the time the waitress finally brought some salt after it was requested, hubby's fries were barely warm. There are probably many eateries that will be more satisfactory next time we eat out. read more

I've been coming to this particular Applebees for years, and it has steadily gotten worse. I never wrote a review earlier because I'm thinking, maybe it'll get better. I'm a simple man. absolutely love the sampler appetizer. but the chips and spinach dip gets smaller... ok got it. Still good tho. I enjoy a good well made dirty martini. I'm not asking for too much... so first it was this establishment no longer providing the "cocktail picks" for the olives. I was told by the bartender because they were "cutting costs" - a few times they didn't even have toothpicks!! Next were the olives. Tiny, dry and shriveled. I would be embarrassed to put those in any drink. Now it's the constant never having olive Juice for the dirty martini and to top it off, the past few bartenders there don't even know how to make a dirty martini ! The food is decent, service is mediocre at best and the ever growing feeling of disdain the employers there have towards their paying customers seems to be getting worse every time I go there. Too bad, because you would think with businesses shutting down every other day, that they would be on top of these issues. Shame on management. I'm sure this place will shut down soon. This Applebee's in particular is the best! Very clean, nice waitstaff and food is great! I ordered the grilled chicken with green beans and applewood bacon Mac-n-cheese and I totally recommend! I just want to say that I think it's pretty awesome Applebee's does a $1 drink every month. I was very skeptical about this and thought it was going to be terrible alcohol and a crappy drink, but it was not! It was actually a good drink and it was fun for $1! I haven't been to Applebee's in a very long time as I don't really prefer chain restaurants, but met a friend for a drink before a movie and decided to get the zombie drink, my friend made fun of me and then wished she had gotten it! Ha. It even had a little floating zombie brain, just as advertised. I love horror movies, so this drink was right up my alley. So I just want to let everyone know, their $1 drinks are a fun addition to their drink menu and if you happen to be here, try one, why not, it's $1!!!!! Cheers! read more

Just like some of the previous reviewers had stated there is always a 20-30 minute wait no matter when you go and tons of empty tables. I think my family tonight had the unfortunate run in with the three girls at the hostess stand as the previous reviewer. We walk in to one of the girls eating McDonald's nuggets and fries at the stand while speaking to me and proceeding to write my name in the iPad on the waiting list with her greasy fingers. We had requested a booth due to two young children. 10 min into our wait a second hostess asks if we would like a "hightop" to which we respond no and again state we have two young kids and need a booth. We finally get sat 20 min later at a TABLE. We sit as we are frustrated and realize the couple across from us is leaving and they say we can have their booth. As soon as we go to move the hostess comes back and refuses to let us sit as she was sitting another family there. Manager was not very sympathetic to this problem or his extremely rude hostess staff. After finally sitting service was slow and not attentive and many issues with our order were wrong. Horrible service at this location. Today, my coworkers and I decided to get lunch at Applebee's. After picking a booth in the bar area, we patiently waited for someone to welcome us and take our orders, as we were pressed for time. We waited for 10 minutes and no one approached our table. We made eye contact with a few of the servers and tried to wave them over, yet no one came to our table to get our orders. It was 1:30 pm and it wasn't even that busy. I have to admit that it's been a while since I've been here, but after my last two visits I'll never return. On my penultimate visit we came with a large party and asked the waitress if we should divide checks up at the beginning or the end. She told us to wait until the end. During the course of the meal three of ten orders were wrong and one never arrived. At the end of our meal the waitress complained that we wanted to split the check and interrupted us while we complained to management. The last time I went I ordered a steak rare and it came out medium well. When I sent it back the waitress complained to me and the manager treated me as if I was to blame. Stay away. read more

Alas, zero stars are not registered. This restaurant is a dump. My wife and I ordered burgers. The waiter asked if we wanted "pink" or "no pink." First of all, we aren't third-graders. Second, I don't think it would have mattered. We sent back my wife's burger because it was a dried-out hockey puck and the roll was obviously stale and rock-hard. I told the waiter that I would appreciate it if the kitchen tried a little harder, he came back with "well, I didn't cook it." The manager returned with a new burger that was just as gnarly with a bun that was just as stale, and we sent it back again. The third time, the bun was cold and squished, like a 7-11 breakfast biscuit. Needless to say, yuck. Interestingly, on our way out we heard another table complaining about their burgers. My aunt, uncle, and cousins treated me to Applebee's as a second choice to their crowded, local place. As a result, we were already disappointed by not going to our first choice. The evening started off well: we got a rock-star parking and saw a sign for "lady's night" immediately upon entering. This "lady's night" meant a Lia Sophia Party and $5 martinis. It kinda went down from there. My cousins both ordered from the kid's menu: chicken tenders. Unfortunately, they both thought that the three chicken tenders weren't enough for them. Why only a measly three chicken tenders?! My uncle's burger came out wrong and they had to fix it. Not just cooked wrong. It had the obviously wrong toppings. My soup (cheesy broccoli) was like cheese dip. I ate warm cheese dip. Then I also ordered cheesy corn. This was my mistake. I thought it would be like creamed corn. It was not. It was cheese with corn kernels in it and it was gross. My little cousin was the only one who got a dessert. He specifically asked for cookies'n'cream in his dessert "shot." It was ice-cream and chocolate. There was hardly any cookies in it. I didn't see any. He didn't taste any. My aunt (who didn't comment on her food) said that she could taste some cookie. So, that's why I gave Applebee's only a single star that denotes: Eek! Methinks not. The best thing about the evening (and the whole point to begin with) was to spend time with my relatives and that was really great. read more

I normally have an amazing experience when I come here. Today I sat at the bar with my friend and the bartender Iris was so rude. it took her a good five minutes to greet us, when we got out food it took her fifteen minutes to ask if it was okay at this point we had both finished not to mention we didn't have napkins or silverware. The food was was amazing but the service was horrible it took us another fifteen minutes to get our check and than took ten minutes for her to cash us out. I've grown up going to Applebee's, as it has always been a place to gather with good friends and family. Tonight I included my coworkers in this tradition. We're a rowdy but loving bunch, and we very much act like a family. On February 27, 2020 we were racially profiled at my neighborhood Applebee's. Before we could order our second round of drinks, to our surprise, we were told we would not be allowed any more because the limit was three drinks person. Despite contrasting information from the advertisement's fine print and two other franchise locations--the manager reiterated the waitress' decision and said he wanted everyone to be safe, and that we would be offered water or soda. None of my coworkers had drank before arriving to Applebee's and after a long day of work this was an after dinner excursion. I'm saddened and disappointed that in 2020 that our joyous laughter and rambunctious conversation could be conveyed as drunk behavior simply because of the color of our skin. I'm heartbroken that in 2020, the comments and looks of a few white customers would lead the manager to such a decision. read more

Finally decided to use up this gift card I've had for foreva... Food is a solid ok. I got the Thai shrimp salad which was super tasty and spicy. Shrimp nicely cooked. I can't complain. We ordered the kobe style meatballs, grilled chicken wonton tacos, Thai shrimp salad, cedar grilled lemon chicken & a perfect margarita. Their food were a bit on the salty side. Other than it being salty, it was good. Perhaps we should have asked them to hold the salt. But who knew? Maybe it was just this location or it was because we came a few hours before closing so their food wasn't as freshly prepared. Who knows. Regardless, Applebee's is always a favorite so we will definitely go back. Perhaps to a different Applebee's elsewhere. read more

2nd and Final Visit. My wife and I have been to Applebee's twice together. The first visit is a fond memory from sixteen years ago. It was our first date in a restaurant together. We recall the food and drinks were good then. And being that it's been so long, we went Saturday night for old times sake. Never Again ! We each had a Perfect Margarita. The drinks were good and our waitress was excellent. Applebee's should eliminate all the pictures in their menu because it's false advertising. All the pictures look to be about double the actual portion sizes. We started with chips and salsa. Very small bowl of salsa and a plate of broken chips. A basket of tortilla chips with enough salsa for the basket would have been nice. I ordered a southwest steak & black bean soup. The bowl was small to begin with and it was filled half way with soup that wasn't even hot. It tasted ok but at least "Fill" the bowl with Hot soup. I also ordered the southwest steak salad. It's advertised picture shows a nice portion of six slices of medium rare steak along side a beautiful southwest salad. I received two small fatty over-cooked slices of steak along side an over dressed wilted salad. My wife had the three cheese chicken cavatappi pasta dish. I didn't care for it but she liked the dish. Once again, the portion size was pathetic. And the prices reflect much larger portions even for a chain restaurant. read more
