This is my favorite sports bar in the area! Love going here for Sunday football as there are so many different tv's playing all of the games! It is hard as a Seahawks fan to get the stream on this side of the country, but Sliders never fails! The (extensive) selection for wing flavors, both house-made sauces and dry rubs! We went here with a sizable group and the staff seemed confused how to handle big groups (15ppl) but one person came by every 10min to check (and would proceed to only take one order). The have a great area to watch sports games for the large groups too, and there weren't many other people inside or outside. If you've been to one Sliders, you've been to them all. I don't mean that to denigrate the chain. They're all that good! (The Middletown one is the most scenic, in my opinion, if you like a view with your food.) The waitress was overwhelmed and made some minor mistakes on a busy Saturday night, but she made things right and it all worked out in the end. Can't wait to come back. My review of the Plantsville Sliders says it all, but I will say that the wings are to die for, in case that wasn't clear yet. First time at a Sliders & it's true...they have some great wings! Meaty, cooked nicely so they aren't dry. Went with a honey garlic dry rub & the sweet & smokey. Both were delicious. For the entrées, had the fish wrap, with curly fries & the apple walnut salad. There were no disappointments. We also had the chocolate chip blondie dessert & that was ok. Some parts tasted burnt, but it was piping hot & went well with the cold vanilla ice cream. Sliders is a great place to watch the games. Tv's galore! So if you don't find a seat in the large bar room don't worry. There are plenty in dining room areas. The staff have no issues with changing the stations if needed. I know this is a popular place or maybe it's the bar. Our first time. We wanted some wings. In addition to the wings we ordered southwest egg rolls and cauliflower bites. The wings were way over breaded and overcooked leading to dry chewy bites. The egg rolls were also overcooked. The only things not overcooked were the cauliflower bites which arrived 10 minutes after the other food. The server was nice but at just under $2 per wing for junk. Went for a casual Friday night din din a little late 730-8ish. Parking lot moderately full still a few spots left. Walked in and sat at a booth in the bar which We we're hoping for, there also an outdoor patio space available. We like the bar area better than the dining room just seems like your more involved. There are several TVs with many options if you like that, there's Keno and trivia games as well. The dining room is ok for parties larger than 4 people. Waitress came right over with menus and took our drink order. She promptly came back with our beverages and took our app order. We started out with pickles which were crispy and piping hot and the spinach artichoke dip, so good my favorite. Waitress was prompt at checking back to see if we wanted to order dinners and we did. Those were out relatively quick maybe 15-20 min not long at all, we were just about done with apps. I got the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese and hubs got Buffalo ranch boneless chicken. Both came out hot chicken was cooked well not dry and slightly crispy. The mac and cheese was creamy and yummy mixed with the Buffalo chicken with had a little zip to it. Overall a yummy dinner we were way too stuffed for dessert. I have been here several times. At first it was good for what it is/was. Now it's awful. I know prices have gone up, but really? For $6.98 I expect more than 20 tater tot's. I Could buy a whole bag for less than that and have 10 times more than that. Then the service. When I questioned it with the bartender she said that's what they gave you, so it must be the serving. She didn't even bother coming over to look at it. I have purchased enough baskets of toys from there to know it's not a side I was given. Mistakes are made when coming. Worst sliders I've been to. Tried them 3 separate times and had an issue each time. 1st time ordered to go at the bar and waited 45mins for my small to go order. Food came out to many customers around me who ordered well after me. 2nd time, I called in, I was left on hold for almost 20mins! I hung up because I drove past and felt it wasn't worth it. 3rd time! Got my call in order placed, when I got home I saw they missed half my order. Only gave me 6 boneless one flavor instead of 10 and 2 flavors. All set with this trash place. So happy this Sliders is finally open in Middletown! We have been anxiously awaiting it since we heard the news. Sure, there are places to get wings in Middletown, but most are inconsistent. I have always loved sliders and think it's great we have a legit sports bar in town now. For our first trip, we went on a Saturday night and grabbed a booth in the bar. Service was prompt. Drinks and refills came out quickly. Our food came out quickly and the order was correct. They even got the blue cheese/ranch orders correct, which so many places screw up (I'm a ranch; my husband blue cheese). The wings had a ton of sauce and were tasty! My only lesson learned is that if you just order wings, the come with "original" crispiness, but you can also order "well done" or "very well done". I saw that on the online ordering page after we had left. I would have liked them a little crispier so will definitely explore these options the next time we go! They were still great - the chicken itself was fully cooked and not slimy like a certain chain that I will no longer eat at...just could have had more of crunch on the skin. I've been to sliders in middletown now 3 or 4 times. All I can say is that, everything is inconsistent. Sometimes the beer was cold, other times it wasn't. Sometimes the boneless wings are meaty, and sometimes they look like kids nuggets. And dont even get me started on their bone in wings. They have the same amount of meat as a mini golf pencil. Futhermore, I would like to take the chef of sliders to the grocery store to show him or her what bacon is.When I order maple BACON wings or buffalo BACON ranch wings I expect there to be BACON on my wings. I will even buy the chef a few pounds of bacon so he or she could put bacon on other customers wings because obviously sliders cant afford bacon. I also find the the tv setup odd. They only have 4 TVs over the bar. They have a lot of tvs around the tables and booths but only 4 at the bar which at best you could see 2, and if you sit on the ends of the bar only 1. And one more thing. To the owner or manager. If your going to have someone be a bartender, can you train them on what type of beers you sell? I get it, it's hard to learn every beer, but when you ask for a Corona premier and the bartender tells you it doesnt exist, yet it's on your beer menu, and in plain view in the glass door refrigerator, there might be a problem there. read more

Rachel was awesome. She checked on us without being intrusive. She brought a glass of ice for my wine in case it wasn't cold enough (it was) but it was nice to have a server who understands that Pinot Grigio should be chilled. The food was the best we have had here since they opened. We don't go often even though we can walk there because of previous bad experiences. We sat at the bar and it was easily 20 minutes before anyone brought menus and they didn't even take a drink order. it's a large bar area and there were about 4 people behind the bar (although you wouldn't know because they were all hiding behind the "island"). They are generous with dressing the wings. My go to flavors is angry bbq, hot buffalo and garlic Parmesan (ask for wet) it's like the best Parmesan sauce EVERR. Very good place to go for food, drink and snacks. Food is very good, offers meat and non-meat choices, has appetizers, wraps, and main dishes. Child friendly. Also has outdoor seating. Service is very good and attentive, and they let you finish one course at a time before piling on the next one. Indoors has TV screens, outdoors is on a large pond. And they will refresh your soft drinks. We came with a group of eight. If you have a salad try their Slider Dressing. Prices are slightly higher than some similar places but not out of line. My wife had a Philly Steak and Cheese wrap...excellent. The group shared a large nacho tray with cheese and taco sauce. It can also comes with meat dip. Most of everything the group ordered was excellent. There was only one problem...I ordered the Mac and Cheese and it was delicious but cold. I sent it back and five minutes later they brought it out to me. Still fairly cold. Took it home for reheating. (They were busy that night which might account for that gaffe. 9/24/18 I stopped in to Sliders for lunch, on my way home from running a couple of errands early this afternoon. It was convenient, and Buffalo wings were what I had in mind. I was seated by a friendly young woman in the dining area that is separate from the lounge & bar. A nice quiet place to dine. Being lunch time, I wasn't starving, so some mildly hot wings were in order, and that's what I requested, along with the ubiquitous celery, carrots & blue cheese dressing. The wings came to the table freshly cooked & piping hot. The sauce was just perfectly spicy for my not too hot tastes, but I'm thinking that I can stop wondering why there are so few pigeons in the Middletown, Connecticut area. They must all be getting trapped and clipped of their wings, because the ones served to me were awfully small. Either that or the chickens that sacrificed their wings were baby chicks. Very disappointing! I recall having the pleasure of meeting the owner in the past. He talked about providing good food and a fun environment to the customer's. I'm sorry to say...this is no longer the case. My family placed an order for food to go that came to an impressive total of $65 for an order in the past that would not exceed $42. Hmm. As for the order; 2 large orders of boneless chicken and 2 orders of Tater Tots (since you cannot order platters any longer, why is that?) By the way, they forget one order of plain Ole tater tots. As for the sauces on the chicken. Mango Habenero, this is a great sauce that should kick you in the mouth and give a nice tingle to your lips...nope. it was lightly added and did not have any spice nor flavor applied to t he overdone, dry chicken. Sweet chili, a little dash of sweet. No actual chili. However, the order of PB & J was a different flavor but seemed to help the dry chicken that it was coated on. Buffalo Parm was a good balance of seasoning, sauce to the chicken. All in, i would recommend a Quality Control audit be done to get the food back to how it was when you all first opened. As of now, i do not plan to return, even though I have a credit (supposedly) on file there to help with the next possible visit. I am always a fan of local restaurants and this is one of the times that I have an an underwhelming experience which has me considering going to a chain restaurant for my chicken wings. When we called to see what can be done, DoorDash was kind to us and gave us a credit, and Sliders asked "what do you want us to do?" Bad form, Sliders.
