Service was amazing! Food came fast and manager was friendly. My ribeye steak was cooked to perfection.

We typically like Applebee's but our last visit was very discouraging. Seated immediately in booth near window which I like, however; air conditioning overwhelmed the area and ultimately it was uncomfortably cold during our meal. Service / waitress... 5 stars - The service was excellent and friendly. Food... For this visit 1 star - I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Fettuccine. The fettuccine came out with the top layer dry and discolored, likely from sitting under heat lamp? The chicken itself was good, however; there was a thick layer of what I think was tomato paste on top which had an overwhelming tomato flavor. I would have sent it back but the wife had her meal and waiting for another for myself would have extended our stay which would have been intolerable given my final comment.. Surrounding Customer Behavior... Big Fat 000 stars. Never have I witnessed so much collective turmoil at a restaurant. All seemed fine when we arrived, however; first off, a young couple in the booth behind us finished their meal and decided to hang out and rambunctiously talk, yell and laugh so loudly we couldn't carry on a conversation at our table. This continued for the majority of our stay. Then, a lady and a very senior gentleman were seated at a table next to our booth. The lady may have been family or a caretaker?... The gentleman appeared to be frail and hard of hearing but he and everyone else around could definitely hear when this lady angrily and impatiently yelled at him which was near constant. Likewise, this woman was incredible rude to staff, "yelling" and angrily demanding a glass of water from a second waitress while coincidentally their waitress was arriving at the table with water that she had already requested. And to top it off, the lady used the old gentleman's credit card to pay... It was very sad to witness his treatment. And finally, to top it off and provoke us to leave, two young girls/moms (?) arrived with small children and were seated in a booth near us. A little girl around 2 years old immediately stood on the bench seat jumping up and down SCREAMING (not just being loud) for an extended period of time while the lady's ignored the behavior as though they were immune to it. Undoubtedly people on the opposite side of the restaurant could even hear this commotion. No desert for us... and it was obvious another couple near us were fed up and hurried out after their meal. Manager - 000 stars... never saw one. Throughout these distractions, I understand the waitress is likely uncomfortable being in a position to challenge customer behavior, and to her credit remained bend over backwards polite, however; I had to wondered where was the manager (or anyone) to come by to simply interact with these people to de-escalate their disruptive behavior. I honestly felt sorry for our waitress because during this window of time, her section was horrific. read more

You can't come to Applebee's expecting the best food you've ever had in your life. That being said, I think this location does a great job! We would frequently come in during the dollaritas promotion and enjoyed the food + service. We were quickly seated each time and our wait staff was pretty attentive to our needs. Let's start with my favorite thing at Applebee's: The mozzarella sticks! I LOVE mozzarella sticks and these are no exception. They are fried to perfection and served with warm marinara (I like to get a side of ranch for them). These are a great appetizer and if you go during happy hour you can get them at a reduced price! The crispy wonton chicken tacos are another great appetizer that my partner really enjoyed. The pretzels are too salty and the sauce isn't that great. Spinach artichoke dip is okay. We also tried the burgers. I got an impossible and my partner got a regular cheeseburger. Both were pretty good and served with crispy fries. The inside is clean and there is lots of seating. This is a great place to come to with a group or to watch a sports game as they have many TVs. Will be back! read more

Service was shit i always bring my family to dine here and today's experience was 0 if you can rate 0 i would of rate them-00 food was cold it took them 35 min for our food to be brought out to our table and when food arrive food was cold and Ribeye was order well done but it was like its was left to burn .. yes it was burnt steak and they had the audacity to tell me that it was busy and also stated that it was because our table was big party and (we had a total of 6 people) plus 2 kids but their order was placed right away in which the order came out right away ... when all surrounding tables had the same amount of people, or maybe one less in which there excuse was pathetic, you would be upset if if your table was ignored while everyone else get there food first.. when i question our server about our food she couldn't give me an answer.. take your business some where else cause they will have you waiting to take your order and be prepared to wait minimum 30+ min for your food .. plus you don't get what you expect in quality Take in consideration when you have a big party is a big issue cause time quality and consistency at the table and making sure every person has there food just the way they order it is part of the service and that is part of the servers job.. Robin is an excellent server. We have had her for lunch a couple of times. Our favorite thing is the Bourbon Street Chicken and shrimp (me) and Bourbon Street Steak, comes with some good mashed potatoes and I ordered a side of broccoli for a complete meal. While service was fine the food was not. I ordered a Sirloin Steak cooked medium. It was served well done to Hockey Puck status. They retired my plate and while this time it was cooked to ordef, it was very tough and grissly. Extremely poor quality and unedjble. I upgraded to broccoli. Huge mistake! It came barely covered in a cold Alfredo with tomatoes sauce and four shards of unmelted cheddar cheese. The broccoli was still cold in the center. This too was replaced, the broccoli was heated through but the same cold gross sauce and slivers of unmelted cheese were again on the broccoli. It was not pleasant at al!,and certainly not worth the upcharge. I wound up eating the lukewarm mashed potatoes. As I was still hungry, I went for the Blondie dessert. I used to go here just for that calorie bomb dessert, so I was thinking this would offer them some redemption. But nope,didn't happen. I don't know if corporate changed the composition presentation, or if this location doesn't properly train their kitchen staff. In any even, it no longer holds first place in my favorite desserts category,not even an honorable mention. Walked in, greeted 2 waiters and a waitress just standing at the door where the little podium is, they sat me right away which was nice, but then I sat there for 10 minutes (12 or 13 if you count the time before I even looked at my watch after sitting down) and not a single person came up to my table to ask me my drink, let alone my order. I will admit the food does kept getting worse and worse over the years and that's sad, the bartenders are now so over worked I wouldn't even try to go there for a quick HH drink bc it will take a good HH to get help. lol! While I'm not a frequent diner, I was pleasantly surprised with the happy hour when I came during a warriors game. I thought it would be a little busier, but was seated right away. The staff was very friendly and came for our orders soon after we were seated. We just decided to order appetizers on the happy hour menu and got the mozzarella sticks, the wonton tacos, and the chips with a spinach artichoke dip. We paired it with a happy hour cocktail that was a little watered down, but met expectations. The spinach artichoke dip was great, but the chips are so thin and have zero salt. The appetizer would be much better with a quality chip as the vessel. I really enjoyed the texture and flavor of the wonton tacos. It's a unique spin on tacos and tasted great. Don't get biased by the stereotypes of these chain restaurants: they're consistent and reasonably priced. read more

Went in for late night snacks. It was pretty empty in there, but yet it still took us a few minutes to be sat. I understand that we were a party of 12. However, we didn't get a server for a while. It took us 30 minutes to get a drink order and then the food came and they questioned us ordering all you can eat And it came out cold. I understand it's late night, but that's why we were there and that's why you have it open for late night snacks. I Ordered for pick up via the Applebees App. Ordered a mushroom Swiss burger w/ a side house salad & appetizer of chicken nachos. The $13 Nachos were on the house via their App birthday gift. Burger was tasty, huge and full of mushrooms & grilled onions! Burger was cooked medium as ordered!! Side salad was a good size as it looked one the menu!! I got the strawberry margarita it was very good a little on the sweet side but I can taste the alcohol so they did good. Husband & I were in the area and unsure of where to go for lunch. Applebees was in the distance so we decided to stop in. Our server Hunter was great from the moment we set down to the moment we left. We ordered the pretzel appetizer (which was great) and our drinks. Shortly after we ordered our meal. The food was all cooked properly and tasted great. Drinks were refilled without having to ask. Hunter even pointed out our ability to order our same items but save money by getting some pick 2 deal. Everyone here was super friendly, unlike in the San Rafael location, where they act like you're a bother for attending their super special exclusive restaurant that doesn't have like, you know, 2000 other locations? But seriously, here at Applebee's in Petaluma we were sat right away, the host was welcoming, the server was friendly, and the food and drink showed up promptly. I read some of the other reviews on here about how long it took to get the food, and that definitely wasn't an issue for us. The food is, well, Applebee's... it's OK. It's not like "Wow 7 Stars OMG Delicious!" but it's consistently alright. Last night I had the four cheese Mac & cheese with chicken tenders. Always a good choice! Total was just under $22 including tip for my dinner and my friend's non-alcoholic beverage. Saturday afternoon, August 2023, few customers and 2 wait staff. 1. I ordered coffee, "We have no cream". The waitress brought the coffee with no cream or sweetener anywhere to be found. 2. We had gone to the Applebees in Santa Rosa Ca afew times to only find the cups and silverware to be dirty. I asked the manager jokingly if the dish washer was broken. The food was just as bad in the Petuluma Applebees. What was worse is that they added on charges for using that electric game thing on the table. We didn't use it. When I inquireed about the charge we were told by not only the waittress ,but the manager that "they normally catch that." What !! Also the happy hour menu prices were not what the cardboard advertisement on the table said they were. PLEASE CHECK YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE YOU PAY. My wife and I came in here to pickup lunch on a Thursday afternoon. I called in two lunch combos and was advised that it will be 15 min. We got there a few minutes early. The host was friendly. She opened the door and greeted us. We waited another 3-5minutes and our order was ready. As for the food, we ordered the lunch combo. Price varies depending on which item you choose but they're about $8-9. I had the Clubhouse Grille Sandwich and Honey Pepper Chicken Tenders for $7.99. These are only half portions but it is filling. This place has gone way downhill over the last couple years I hadn't been there and I definitely haven't missed much. My drink tasted like a cheap premade one instead of a good drink made by a bartender and my food tasted low quality as well. You can tell they are skimping on portions while still charging a lot for their food. Also the service was slow as well. Won't be going back and it was very cold inside the restaurant too, so bring a jacket. read more

***Catalytic Convertor left from parking lot. Parking lot known for catalytic convertor theft!!!*** Applebee's staff was very attentive, and accomodating. We were there for about 2 hours and parked in in the main pairking lot. There are signs up saying they have cameras in the parking lot but those signs were not a deterant. We will find out if we can actually get footage tomorrow. When we asked people who worked there, they were very nice and told us they said that this parking lot is notorious catalytic convertor thefts. Patrons beware! It takes 5 min to remove a catalytic convertor. I would have chosen a different Applebee's if Ihad known. read more
