Went to Dave & Buster's with my mom for a quick dinner. Very prompt service from our waitress. While I was waiting for our dinner, I noticed a booth next to us kept complaining about something and they didn't even have any food to complain about as they just got there a little bit after us. The area operations manager, Ricardo Gomez, went over to the booth & calmed them down. Idk what he did but I give him props for maintaining his cool. Turns out, they were complaining about a beer they're out of. Seriously?! Really?!? All for beer? I love my beer but I wouldn't become butt hurt if they didn't have want I wanted. Dave & Buster's is definitely worth checking out if you have a kid who loves gaming, especially if you go on the half-price day (Wednesday). The games can add up quickly, so going on a discounted day makes it much more affordable. My stepson absolutely loves it, and the Godzilla VR game is especially fun! I also really like their fries--they're tasty and reasonably priced. I haven't tried much of the other food because of food intolerances, so I can't speak to the rest of the menu. We did have one frustrating experience where we waited over an hour for our fries, only to find out that the kitchen never received our order. I spoke with the manager, and they were very understanding and comped me $60 in game tokens to make up for the inconvenience, which I really appreciated. Also, I recommend going right when they open as it can get pretty busy later in the day. They also blast loud music so if you are sound sensitive bring some noise cancelling headphones or earplugs. Overall, I'd say Dave & Buster's isn't the best place ever, but it's certainly not the worst. I got adult mac & cheese I admit I don't eat meat so I said no bacon or no chicken but the mac & cheese was terrible -it taste like undercooked rigatoni noodles with Velveeta cheese -it was really terrible. My daughter's kids cheese pizza was actually pretty good I ended up having a slice of that. My drink was really good I ended up getting one of their peach Red Bull drinks and then asked for a shot of vodka on the side to add definitely recommend that. The workers were all nice but the service was slow, no one checked in on us after we got our food, we would've actually gotten another drink but no one asked if we wanted one. We waited a good 10 minutes after we were done with all of our food and drinks had our plates stacked to the end of the table until we went and asked somebody if we could get our bill and pay so that we can leave. Instead of just bringing us our bill for some reason I they got the manager, the manager had to check what was wrong then they finally go and get our server to get our bill -it's still another like 10 minutes before we can pay and leave. Seemed very ridiculous. If manager came over why he couldn't just give us our bill or take our card so we could pay? He just wasted more time. The price was a lot less expensive than other arcades we have been to and they were able to play more games with the game cards. There was a great variety of prizes. Ive been a few times on Sat mornings when they first open and its pretty dead. You're gonna spend a lot, pretty similar to other big arcade place in town. But several machines are always not working and staff was hard to find and couldn't fix issues. Food was equal to bar food. Nothing special. I want to like this biz, I really do. My second visit here: They have good deals and it's definitely stimulating with the loud music, the multiple screens for sports and all the games. However, bar service is slow. I received an email about $5 drinks and $10 chicken wings tonight only for the start of football season. When I arrived the server didn't know anything about it. Even after showing her the email she was hesitant. There was no hostess on duty to check in with for my Open Table seating reservation. The wings were hot which was a plus. So excited that Santa Rosa FINALLY has a Dave and Busters! Great layout and flow unlike some funky d&bs I've been to. One of the Most noticeable difference from other locations is how many items are on the menu. We never come for excellent food but you can count on a very consistent bar menu with a few fresh offerings. Service was decent and we didn't wait long to be greeted or order. (It's a Monday evening so not expected) The second noticeable difference is the variety of games I've never seen before. This selection also seems to cater to younger kids where as many other locations only has a few. I love this mix since I come with young kids and they have a better variety to play. read more

Not as big as other Dave & Buster's locations, but they still have a nice selection of games. They offer meal-and-game combos and even a season pass option, which seems like a good deal. They have 15% off for veterans, nurse, first responder as well. The prices seem reasonable overall. We used our old game card from a previous visit to the Daly City location years ago, so we didn't need to buy any new credits this time. The place was busy when I went and Loud but expected. OK, so if you're going here for the arcade, I think it's worth it. We were able to get 90 minutes for 60 bucks and we played as many games as we wanted. There is a limit of 1500 points but personally, I felt like it was worth it because it could be a lot of play without worrying about not having enough coins. The restaurant still needs work. Unfortunately, we signed up on their waitlist. They told us it was a 15 minute wait, 25 minutes passed and then we had to go up there again and inquire since people who came after us were getting seated before us. I don't think the person at the front really knew how to work their system or send a text out which is the way they normally do it when your table is ready. However, once we stood back in line, someone else came to the front and was nice enough to get us a table. I got their pasta with shrimp and steak, the steak was really good and well seasoned however, the actual pasta sauce was not my favorite. I did try the barbecue burger, and the burger was really good. The nachos were also really good and the guacamole was definitely fresh and you can tell they just made it. We also got the strawberry lemonade. That was also pretty good as well. The server we got was very nice. She was very attentive. I will say that it took them a while for the food to come out. We did happen to go on a Friday and it was very busy. Also, our appetizer came out at the same time as our food, which was a little unexpected. Normally, you get the appetizer first and then later on the food. The place is booming. There's ample seating. And they have a full bar area as well as happy hour. Second time visiting and dining at the newly opened Dave & Buster's in Santa Rosa and I think I've fell in love. The atmosphere is lively, fun and family friendly. Every team member we've interacted with has been beyond friendly, helpful and professional. You can tell the team is working hard to get everything up and running and their customer service already sets this location apart. I'll admit, both times I've dined here the food and drinks have been very pretty basic nothing special but that's to be expected, tonight our server David helped us order and he had good suggestions. Both visits they've been out of several alcohol options but honestly, that's totally understandable considering they've only been open for about a week and it's been busy. Despite the lack of tequila choices I still had zero issue finding something else to drink off the veryyyy extensive cocktail menu lol. Overall 10/10. Great place to bring the family on a Friday or weekend night. It's loud, so don't expect a quiet experience. A family member went a couple weeks back and there was an issue with not having many of the beers available. Okay, they were recently open. I'd have given them a pass. Today, I attempted to order a certain draft beer. Not available. Second option wasn't available either. I did get my third option, but wasn't overly happy. No local beers either, which is a shame. I did order a burger with the "Eat & Play" combo so we could use the card for the arcade after. The burger was just okay. No flavor whatsoever. To be honest, I had low expectations for the food, so I guess they were what I expected. When we had finished and our server was MIA. It took some time to see him again. We just sat there, listened to the loud music and watched the many TV's in the restaurant area. The restaurant area is quite impressive. Hey!! Our server walked by. Finally, wrapped up the bill and we were ready to use our card we received with the meal. It was crowded. Many of the games we were interested in had a wait. Okay, rainy Sunday afternoon. I get it. We found a few games to play The games seemed to range from 6-10 tokens per play. Some games took a mere seconds to play (that wasn't fun), while some you feel like you got your money's worth. I guess we'll have to go back. I still have credit on my card. Maybe skip the food. Maybe they'll get their beer situation figured out. It'd be great to get some local beers, but being a nation wide company...I'm sure they're limited to what they can do in that regard. Dave and busters still has A-LOT of kinks to work out. We went in for lunch and were the only table full in the restaurant except for two people at the bar. We ordered the Thursday wing special with fries and a side salad. The wings came out about 20 min later and were not hot. Luke warm at best. I did like the taste of the food though I will add. We waited on the side salad for another 10 min while we could see people in the kitchen just standing around talking. We eventually just cancelled the salad. Sodas are $5 and never once did we get offered a refill. The staff is very young and could use some support to help better run the restaurant. Since they've opened, we have came on 3 separate occasions. The first two times was fun and service was great. Hence why we kept coming bk lol. We mistakenly sat down without consulting with the host at first, but when we did we still didn't get a server. We ended up having (out of all people) a security guard tell us "how it works around here" while still waiting for a server. We happened in with our teen granddaughter while visiting the mall and had a blast! Lots of bang for our buck with the games. Good variety and immaculately clean. We stayed for dinner and I enjoyed the salmon, hubby had the sweet pecan salad with chicken and our granddaughter had the pretzel dog apps - all were yummy. Santa Rosa and the Plaza needed a place like Dave & Busters where families can hang out, adults can have drinks, food, watch sports while the kids play! It's super family friendly but has something for all ages. Since we don't have any kids, it's still fun to have date night with my hubby, have some dinner and play some games. We were greeted right away upon entering Friday night. We were seated right away, given menus. I ordered the fish & chips with a side of shrimp and my hubby ordered some mini sliders. The music was a bit loud but maybe I'm just getting old! My teenaged self would laugh and kick my butt for saying that if she would see me now! The food was delicious, great service. We bought a $25 game play card from our server. (It's reloadable and if you win tickets, it gets added on there as well). I love carnival games so that's what we did. I chose to dine at your establishment as part of a personal self-care day after a massage, hoping to relax and enjoy a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling disappointed and, more importantly, uncomfortable. For context, I am both a national and international traveler and dine out frequently. I am currently working in California and reside in Atlanta, Georgia, so I have experienced a wide range of hospitality environments and service standards. At the start of my visit, my server, Kyle, was reasonably attentive and took my order promptly. Payment was also collected immediately after I ordered. However, for the remainder of my dining experience, there were no check-ins from her. I was not asked if I needed refills, if my food was satisfactory, or if there was anything else I needed. What made this more concerning was observing another server, Michael, who spent a noticeable amount of time checking in with and engaging at least six other couples seated at the bar. While those guests received ongoing attention, I felt overlooked and neglected. As the only minority guest seated in that area at the time, the lack of attention left me questioning whether I was being treated differently. I want to be clear that I do not make that statement lightly. Up to this point, I have generally found people in Northern California to be friendly and welcoming. Living in the South, I am unfortunately not unfamiliar with racial bias, but I have not experienced such a strong feeling of disregard in a restaurant setting in a long time -- especially at an establishment whose brand I have enjoyed in my hometown. After my visit, I contacted your corporate office to share how disturbed I was by the encounter. I am now reaching out directly to the location as well, in hopes that this feedback will be taken seriously and used as an opportunity for reflection and improvement. Really good overall. The restaurant check-in being at the front door was my initial impression. It took about 10 minutes of standing there to get a table, no biggie!!!! However the plethora of cigarette and weed smoke coming in from outside made it kinda awful. While eating, the bus boy cleaning the tables behind us was spraying what smelled like windex on the tables and that was nauseating. Oops! Service excellent! Glad to see Dave & Buster's open here, it's great to have a fun place where people of all ages can gather similar to epicenter. That said, the music was SO loud we were yelling at each other and at our server and still couldn't hear (my Apple Watch popped up a notification about hearing damage). We kept it because we were hungry, but it was an omen of things to come. The Solo Child Diner: One kid's burger arrived... followed several minutes later by the appetizers. If you've ever sat with two hungry children watching a third child eat in silence, you know that's not dinner; it's a hostage situation. The Salad Saga: Two salads were botched. By the time they were corrected 10 minutes later, the kids were basically gnawing on the table legs. The Fungi Surprise: A guest found a mushroom in his burger (he hates them). That's a $20 burger straight into the trash. The Main Event: Ricardo The real "star" of the night was the manager, Ricardo. When he finally approached the table, I expected a professional apology. Instead, I got a TED Talk on excuses. Ricardo, let's be clear: You are responsible for the guest experience, yet you showed zero accountability for the slow service or the string of incorrect orders. I pointed out your lack of ownership in the moment, and you met me with a shrug. You couldn't even manage a simple, "I'm sorry, how can I fix this?" That isn't just bad service; it's a failure of leadership. The Verdict I still paid the full bill and tipped the staff well, because we live in a brutally expensive county and I believe in people's right to survive. But the value-to-frustration ratio here is off the charts. Even the standing bar service was a struggle; the gentleman behind the wood seemingly cannot talk and pour at the same time, and he really likes to talk. We had an amazing experience at Dave & Buster's and want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Spencer. Our group had 15 people, which can be a lot to manage, but Spencer handled it so well. He was incredibly friendly, quick, and very attentive the entire time. Spencer kept our drinks filled, made sure our orders were correct, and everything came out fast even with such a large group. He was also very informative about the menu and checked in often to make sure everyone was taken care of.
