Service was a bit slow and our kids kept asking when the food would get there. I had to keep reminding them they were busy. They stayed busy playing the free pacman game in the back. Love that it was free. The restaurant itself has so much more potential with the 80s vibe than what they had. It was a bit rundown but overall fun to tell my kids about. They had some where's Waldo prints in each booth and some 80s trivia cards. The food itself was average. Nothing spectacular but decent. I had the pancakes with the yogurt. Kids had waffles and bacon.

We shared breakfast cheese curds and while I wouldn't describe them as cheese curds they were very tasty. My friend got the Reuben, huge portion and she was only able to eat half, but said it was really good. Service was OK, nothing to write home about. We stood at the front for about 10 minutes being passed by multiple people before someone finally decided to see us. The restaurant seems large, we didn't end up having any drinks, but it's nice to know they have a full bar menu if needed. Would we be back? Maybe. With so many other restaurants nearby I think I would continue exploring, but if you're looking for a simple basic breakfast, I think this is the spot to go.

We arrived just before 4pm and the parking lot was already starting to fill up. When we entered the establishment, we were greeted promptly and shown to our table right away. The dining area had a laid-back casual vibe with "Texas" style decor (wooden beams/walls, mounted deer/moose heads, bass fish, neon beer signs, bull skulls, etc...) As soon as we sat down, a basket of freshly baked bread/rolls were placed on our table. I have to say, their bread did live up to the hype. They were soft, warm, buttery, slightly sweet, and came with their famous whipped honey cinnamon-y butter. The butter was good, but I preferred eating the bread on its own since it was already slightly sweet. Also, bonus point for the free bag of peanuts on each table for dine-in guests. We ordered the 12 oz. prime rib and the 12 oz. New York Strip. For sides, we got baked potato, green beans, loaded baked potato and house salad. The baked potato was tender and fluffy on the inside, and the green beans had a lovely smokey taste because it was cooked with bacon. The house salad was your basic restaurant quality side salad, nothing special. They did deliver on the loaded baked potato as it was stuffed to the max with fixings. The meats were perfectly cooked. The prime rib was ordered rare, and the New York Strip was ordered medium. Both meats were tender and well-seasoned. I was pleasantly surprised by the au jus sauce that came with the prime rib. It was onion-y, savory, and not too salty. Overall, food was very tasty, and service was good. Parking was super easy since they have their own parking, but it will fill up fast during peak weekend dining hours. I would not mind going back again.

She said it wasn't a problem since there was no wait yet but she wanted me to know so it wasn't an issue at a later date. I thanked her for her clarification and that I appreciated her! On to dinner... the delightful TJ was our server. He was ever so accommodating when we noticed the only ceiling fan on was the one next to our table, so we asked if it could be turned off? Poor TJ, trying to reach the chain....then it was pulled to the point it was cycling on high. He found his manager and there is a wall switch to make it easier, but thank you for being so accommodating!! The food....was delicious!! I always enjoy that my side salad comes out on a cold plate. This small town diner has regulars coming in for their dinner, having a drink and chatting up a storm. It's situated in the middle of nowhere but scenic bluffs and farms. They have a nice deck to sit outside in the summer. This is the third time we have been there and the food is always consistently good! Simple food without fancy presentation but amazingly tasty. We ordered the broasted chicken platter-juicy flavorful tender meat and delicious crunchy skin. You can choose dark or white meat or combo. I got the broasted potatoes with the meal and cheddar bacon potato soup with it. Soup was creamy, rich and delicious. My husband ordered the same meal and added a piece of battered cod with his. Great portions and delicious. We couldn't resist ordering the walleye meal with seasoned fries. The walleye was fresh and flaky. Not the biggest fan of their seasoned fries...thicker cut and not crunchy. For dessert, touch choice but we decided on the caramel apple ice cream that came in a martini glass.
