Is the severed head in the toilet problem going to be addressed? Killer burgers. Need filler for this to be a review since Yelp is a cuck.

The food what really good and the service was excellent. The only problem I had was the severed head I found in the bathroom. I went into stall two because it didn't smell like normal scat but when I went in there there was a severed head in the toilet. I would give this restaurant a 10/10 but the severed head bumped it down to a 9/10 read more

We came to eat at around 5 not busy at all waited 1.5 hours for our food. The waiter Karl never came to our table except for maybe twice for drinks and to order that was it. Food was undercooked and cold. They charged us for games that they have on the tablet that goes on the table when we never used it because it wasn't even our bill on there in the first place, some other tables was. Then to end our already bad experience our car got hit right out front in the parking lot and they didn't have a camera system and told us to ask the shop across the parking lot that has been closed down for years. Definitely will not be going back to this place. read more

Food was decent and the customer service was sufficient. Not too expensive or formal. Nice atmosphere and decor. All was going fine until I stepped into the men's bathroom, and immediately noticed a foul odor omitting from one of the stalls. I would have turned back at this point but I really had to go, so I stepped inside one of the stalls, opened the toilet lid and...... severed head. I don't know who it belonged to, but there was a semi-rotted severed head of a middle-aged man floating in the toilet. I was mortified, but I still had to relieve my bowels onto the poor lad. After, I immediately stormed to management to notify them about the SEVERED HEAD in their toilet, but the douchebag manager said that I was lying and kicked me out of the restaurant for "disrupting the peace"!!!!! Get your act together Applebee's!!!! 2 stars!! read more

Good spot. Friendly staff and quick service. Just don't go into the bathroom. If the smell isn't enough to deter you, you'll soon find out what I mean when you open up the lid in stall two... Severed head. I couldn't make out what it belonged to, but I sure as hell did not take time to investigate. Needless to say I didn't finish my meal that even. read more

My wife and I went to your location in La Crosse, WI, yesterday. She is vegetarian and was disappointed to see that Applebee's still does not have a single vegetarian entree on their menu. When she asked the server, he suggested she could order some pasta and opt out of the chicken. But would have to pay full price for the meal. No thanks. Why don't you add a vegetarian patty to your menu that could be swapped for the meat on a burger? Chili's and Red Robin both have had this option for years. She ended up eating a baked potato and broccoli from the sides section on your menu. The butter had some torn plastic in it and my side salad had pieces of rotten lettuce. To top it off, there was a huge hole in the floor that made the table rock back and forth... Could not be fixed with sugar packets. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

The servers at this restaurant are pretty good, however, the quality of food was slightly sub-par. It's not terrible, but I'd rather go to another Applebee's than here. The state of the place was also quite poor, and my son came back crying after going into the bathroom, wailing about something in stall two, which has me worried about the men's bathrooms. Overall, not the greatest place. read more

Just got here. Took 10 min to be acknowledged by our waitress. Took 20min from then to get our drinks. Then received our appetizers after our food. Wont be back. read more

Normally any apple bees I go to no matter the state, they can fill my request for just the wingets but this location could not. The bar tender was very polite but forgot I ordered decaf coffee and gave me regular. Other than that, place was clean and nice atmosphere. read more

Forgot to cook the steak. Farthest from friendly people. Long wait time. Not going to return anytime soon

All I really want to say is disgusting! But I'll go on in detail: 1) So overpriced it's magical. I mean really, 13-14 bucks for a pasta meal at a typical chain store. 2) I really couldn't taste my food beyond the salt taste. 3) Servers hardly stopped by to ask if we needed anything. read more

First and foremost this is the Dirtiest Applebee's I've ever been to. This place is noticeably outdated the moment you walk in. I was un satisfied with the customer service and the food. I ordered the Grilled chicken fiesta lime bowl. The food came out in a decent amount of time. I immediately noticed there was no guacamole in the dish. I asked our server if they missed the ingredient. She apologized came back to the table and said they ran out but they were going to make me some. I waited another ten minutes patiently picking at my dish as it got cold. Then the manager came out and told me they were not able to bring out the guacamole. She asked if they could bring me more salsa and said "Sorry". More salsa?! wtf. I was upset by the lack of urgency to communicate the fact they didn't have this key ingredient. They should have told me about the situation ASAP. The time that passed by was enough to allow the chicken to cool. I was looking forward to the guacamole so I waited to eat the dish. Anyway on top of all that they didn't even have the decency to offer a discount on the dish. Horrible customer service. I'm not one to complain. I'll just let everyone know here on this platform what their business practices are. We will not be returning. read more

Went there on new years day. Signed in with the Hostess for a table of two. Asked if we could sit at on of the tables in the bar section, she said that there was one group ahead of us and and that they would be seated there. I replied with and OK, and asked if we could grab the next available table in the bar area, since it was being cleaned when I asked, and she replied with a sure. Next thing we know the couple BEHIND us, who was AFTER US, was SEATED at the Table in the bar that I had JUST REQUESTED. thinking.... ok, that wasn't right. The hostess claimed that we never asked for the table in the bar. I was so disgusted with the hostess we left. I will NEVER eat here, especially since it was a first time. read more

Typical chain restaurant. The waitstaff was exceptional. They are trying a new Weight Watchers menu and the jalepeno-lime shrimp was one of the better chain restaurant meals that I have had. Everything else on the menu is pretty much bacon and BBQ sauce. read more

We stopped in right at 1pm today and were greeted by Colton who was very nice despite the fact that he just got chewed out by some very impatient people who couldn't wait 10 minutes for a table. Rebecca our waitress was obviously working hard to please her tables and provide excellent service, she was eager and polite and took the time to explain the kids menu options to my son. The table games were fun for my son and we enjoyed the atmosphere and good food :) The staff was very busy but maintained an upbeat, energetic service standard I was impressed with the professionalism. read more

Have been a regular at Applebee's over the years, and it always has been a go to restaurant for us. The last year or so I've noticed some big changes. For one the portion sizes have decreased dramatically while the price continues to stay the same or has went up. I called last night to get a to go order and was told that the to go system was down and they could not take any to go orders? I was disgusted if you want loyal customers you are loyal to them. If your computer is down wouldn't you hand write the order or do whatever the staff is doing inside the restaurant to help customers. The person on the phone was very unfriendly and not helpful at all, so they have lost me and my family as customers. read more

the head moved. not because of the water. but because there was still life. the eyes panned to me. they stared at me. the mouth opened and spoke in a tongue i couldnt understand. but i understood the heads emotion. he was happy. he found his home. headless. in a toilet. at the applebees in onalaska, wisconsin. but the joy the head had was something i grew jealous of as i ate my meal. i went back to the restroom and found the head once more. i picked the head up and asked it "why? why do you get to be happy? why is it that a bodiless head can be happier than me? a fully able bodied man?" the head looked at me with fear. my heart filled with regret but, my mind was already too far lost. i placed the head on the ground. i told the head the last thing it would ever hear, "i'm sorry." i stomped the head until it was nothing but mush. i cleaned it with the applebee's bathroom napkins. if a head could find joy in a toilet, why cant i? with this idea, i snuck into the applebees kitchen, stealing a large butcher knife, then sawed away. now here i lay. a bodiless head. im happier than ive ever been. someone dropped their phone for me. i use my tongue for the screen. i have all i need. applebees, a phone, and this toilet. life has never been better. thank you applebees. you wont have my heart, for someone took my headless body, but you can have my thanks as you allow me to remain in your mens toilet. read more

Seems like every other Applebees. Did not expect the loud drunk lady at the bar at 2pm. After waiting 20 minutes for our food I'm now staring at a hot plate of food with no silverware to eat it. read more

Went here with my husband, nephew and daughter despite reading the reviews, thought we would try it anyway. My husband and I ordered the Parmesan Steak and Shrimp. We both had the mashed potatoes and vegetables. The mashed potatoes were ice cold and the veggies were rock hard, the steak wasn't great either. The waitress brought us out more potatoes but it was way too late and we were ready to leave. She put them in a Togo container. Very disappointed. won't be back. read more

Our waiter Logan interacted and talked and joke around and it was just phenomenal best waiter ever

We dined on 6-6-16 around 7PM. The place was not that busy, and it still took around an hour to get our food. When the food arrived half of it was luke warm. One of the plates has what appeared to be red juice or jam smeared on it. The waitress dropped the food and left, not to be seen again until everyone was finished. When she returned she asked if we'd like our drinks refilled, but it was too late and her tip fate had been sealed. No managers made there presence known, which is strange for this chain. We will not be visiting this Applebee's again. read more

This restaurant is a zero on customer service. I have food allergies. I notified waiter of my allergy before I ordered and told him I had back up choices if the first wouldn't work. He arrogently told me my choice wouldn't be a problem without even checking. When our food finally arrived, not only did the entre' contain my allergen, but so did the salad dressing. We notified the manager who changed out the food. When the waiter finally went by, he didn't apologize for his attitude or his error. He looked at my empty glass, stated that I needed more water and kept walking without checking with the other person at the table. When he brought the water, the glass was chipped with the chip hanging off. I had to call the manager again. I won't be returning. read more

With the menu change, I thought perhaps the service and the food improved. As it turns out, the food was pretty good but the service was still poor. I also question the cleanliness. As we were escorted to the table, we walked on a sticky discolored carpet. After, we realized its the area in and out of the kitchen. read more

Got the bourbon chicken and shrimp. Didn't taste any bourbon sauce. The side of potatoes was tiny. Not very good.

The only reason I come to Applebee's is for the half off apps. We were sat and waited 5-10 before anyone greeted us or took a drink order. We ordered all of our drinks, apps, and meals so we wouldn't have to wait. It's been 10 min and still haven't gotten water or our drinks. read more

Went in tonight with my sister. They messed up her strawberry lemonade, I'm not sure how one does that. I got the spinach chicken pasta and the pasta/spinach was good. The chicken was half cooked. The only thing our waitress did was run our drinks and take our food order (which was done at the same time). We asked the host for her and they paged her right away. It took her 10 minutes to get back out to us. Disappointing. Won't eat here again. read more

Pretty disappointed with the service got seated immediately when we walked in, watched multiple others get seated as well after us but there was something strange all these people were getting served before us and we had gotten here before after 15 minutes of waiting I called for a server on the tablet and then waited another almost 5 minutes. One of the groups had their food before we had even been asked what we wanted to drink. Garbage service would be a half star if it could be read more

This piss pore place they call a restaurant has failed on so many levels! First off order chips and dip and our dip came out less then half full! Second went to Oder a dish and the waitress says "I think" we may be out of the chicken for that.. Ummm ok? But did not say she would go check or anything so we said well??? Ok so we will order this and on the menu says choose 2 sides so we went to choose them and the waitress says umm no just one side I said ma'am it says 2 she said yeah but we cut back ..ok... so we just got fries and fish.. ughhh well the fish comes out half cooks and batter soggy falling off it (clearly did not cook it long enough)!!! And in the middle of all this I order a margarita a strawberry/mango one blended! Well when it got to the table about 25 mins after I ordered it it was melting and not strawberry/mango but strawberry/lemon... it's just simple things that could be easily done right by someone with half a damn brain! I've worked in the food industry all my life and this is just beyond baffling to me that a place can be open and only run their food and service at half ass Quality! Do better Applebee's! You look like clowns running a Circus! read more

The food took forever and when it was cold when it finally got to the table. So, I ordered a burger ( which came with free onions) and asked for my onions to be grilled and was told it was .50 cent. Like really, it cost .50 to grill some onions that was just free, complete rip off. read more

Had a bad experience with very slow service food was ok typical chain restaurant but didn't get a refill for 20 mins and it wasn't even busy. Poorly trained staff read more

Had to wait 20 minutes to order drinks. Ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was fruit punch with strawberries in it. Wonton tacos were good but for 1/2 price apps I would still like someone to offer a refill on my drink. We only had a party of 7 and yet the place was slow and had to wait constantly. The waiter had a full section but all the other staff walked by not offering help. Bartender was a jerk! We wanted to give this place another shot for a good place top go after work but will have to find a place that cares for their customers. read more

The last time i went here we had a party of four and there were two other tables. It was around 7pm. It took an hour and 45 minutes to get our food, which was all cold. During the wait, our waitress stopped by once to refill drinks. After we got our cold food the manager stopped by to offer us each a free dessert, which we thought was nice. That took another 45 minutes, and again the hot desserts were completely cold. None of us have been back since. read more

This place is trash. They gave me brown lettuce in my salad. Also, my soup was microwaved. Overall I'm not going there again!

Very very poor food quality! Food served cold and when they took back to re-heat it came out 5+ minutes later barely warm at the most. At this point I gave up and said I'll just take it home and warm it up myself. Manager was a total doofus and came to apologize with can I pay for one of your beers to make things better? I have some hungover employees back there today I think he says. Good grief. We won't be back read more

Some of the friendliest Applebee's staff members I've come across. Food is tasty and comes in a timely manner. Restaurant has always been orderly and clean. read more

A waitress should never be assigned if she cannot handle the workload. It was a quiet afternoon at 2pm--well after the lunch crowd. Our waitress was not very friendly but neither unpleasant. Ordering was fine, but that's when it all went downhill. Our appetizer, entree, and drink refills were all brought to us by three different people. However, she was quick to bring us the check. After waiting 8 minutes for her to come BACK for the check, we finally had to let someone know we were looking for her so we could pay and get the heck out of there. I can understand the chaos for a 6:30pm dinner shift on Saturday, but not 2pm on a weekday. read more

I read an article how Applebee's is going downhill and is going to be both closing and opening a number of their restaurants in 2020. You can start by closing this one we had a party of 10 that arrived and were seated . Took forever to get anything going , the waitress was nice but appeared overwhelmed couldn't recall orders etc .... the food was garbage I mean in our party steaks medium rare were over cooked, the appetizers weren't appetizing . The funny thing was a number of people ordered salads and a number got their full meal before their salads came out which should have been in some cases prior to the meal . Loaded baked potato totally undercooked , chicken tasted the rubber!!! The wait staff tried but you could see a number of other tables sending items back etc .... it was a colossal bad experience!! Haven't been to Applebee's in awhile and now I remember why ....... will not being going back there anytime soon .... Shopko closed behind the Applebee's just recently and if they keep treating customers like they do by half Assing it they might as well close down as well ... Next time it's Texas Roadhouse or Outback where your treated properly read more

I am in town for a month for business and have been utilizing the CarSide to Go frequently. The service is quite friendly, but the quality of the meals I've gotten are spotty at best. Several times items were missing. I ordered a baked potato with butter and sour cream and I got a plain baked potato. I've ordered the classic burger that is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato, and onion. Neither time have I received the veggies, and one time the burger was delicious and pink as requested and the second time it was burnt to a crisp. It is disappointing because my hometown Applebee's is consistently great. I would expect the same from all Applebee's. read more
