This used to be our favorite place to eat. The last few times we've been here has not been good. Just left there tonight and they are skimping on everything. Salad barely had any dressing and the cucumbers were shriveled. Baked potato was supposed to be loaded. Very little sour cream or butter, no bacon and maybe 5 cheese shreds. I go to Outback in Onalaska all the time with my boyfriend, it's one of our favorite places. The service is always nice and the food is always great. Yesterday we went for my boyfriends birthday and I asked both the manager and host if there was anything they could do for a birthday, they said they could bring a desert and stuff like that. I said perfect I don't know ur policy you can even throw it in the tab. During our dinner I make eye contact and was even greeted by the manager and saw the same hostess multiple times. Neither one brought it or told our server I'm assuming. I just wanted to have a little something extra for him and I was very disappointed. The steak was flavorful, lean and juicy, the baked potato was not overcooked or undercooked and the price was right. With the price of eating out these days we found the Outback Steakhouse a great value and delicious alternative to other higher end locales. After having a not so great experience at another restaurant, I walked over to Outback. They couldn't have been nicer and more professional. I didn't tell them what had just happened at another restaurant a few moments before. We are very active seniors and enjoy going out. Beats the time in the kitchen! We chose Outback because none of us had been to an Outback for years. We were NOT disappointed, in fact we were extremely happy with the entire experience. To start, one of us had an old-fashioned and it wasn't right. We requested a replacement and it was delived by the manager. Her name was Sunny lived up to her name. She was a delight! Our server was Gray. He too, was a delight. Very witty and fun. His service was excellent. The food too, was excellent and there was plenty of it! We all (4 of us) had different entries. Everything was perfect and what we expect when we go out! Crikey!!! I haven't been to an Outback forever. I think I will continue that tradition. From the smell when I walked into the door to the mediocre food for $30, I will fill up on cheese curds and meat sticks the next time I am in town. Two bartenders with nine diners and it took me getting up for utensils and 15 minutes for a bill. I don't expect to be catered to immediately; but before you check your cell phone, maybe you should check on your tip. One saving grace, the asparagus was good. Mashed potatoes were horrible and literally the worst ribeye I have had in AGES! Guess the next time i am in town i will hit up the BWW or McDs for a more consistent product with more attention for $30 + beer. This place has a CAPTIVE audience nearby with a hotel. You just can't hope that will draw tickets. You have to execute too. read more

Should have gone with a steak but branched out and had the bloomin fried chicken. Not a fan of it, at least the fries were good. Ok.....I gave Ootback Steakhouse a 3rd chance. And I am glad I did. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and it was PHENOM! He had Pork Porterhouse. Wow...so full of flavor and tender. Very happy with the meals. Jack was a great waiter, friendly, knowledgable, professional and fun. Carrot cake for dessert....so moist and flavorful. A good ending to a good meal. Amazing Experience! 10/23/21. The hostess as we walked in the door was so friendly and up-beat. It was very busy yet we were treated as if we were the only ones in the restaurant. The person cleaning off the tables was so up-beat and dancing as she was cleaning off the tables, really enjoying her job. Did I mention servers and waitress's there were so many and it seemed as each server only had a few tables so they could pay attention to them and give them excellent service. Very clean, tables, menus, floors, even the bathrooms were spotless. Our waitress Madelynn was at our table right away and very attentive. Our food was hot and brought to us in a timely manner, I could see Madelynn glancing at us as we were enjoying out entree and then salad, making sure not to bring out our main meal until we were finished with our entree's. We ordered the bone in ribeye and sirloin with shrimp along with an entrée of battered mushrooms. Portions were large and very hot, you could tell they were not sitting in a heat window waiting to come out. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. I asked for limited spices on my steak and that is what I got, this is so hard to find as when you order it that way it is often still too much spice or none at all. Mine was perfect. read more

Hey, we generally really love the consistency of Outback. I often recommend it friends and family. Overall, the service was good, but I wanted to let you know that I had a very subpar steak on my last visit. I'm not sure how it was cooked, but it had a weird outer edge that made the flavor taste almost like it was microwaved. It was a bone-in Ribeye--one I have had at various Outbacks many times without a single complaint. We would have put in a complaint before leaving but didn't want to do it with our kids there. We plan to continue frequenting Outback--as this was likely an isolated event--unless we have many more experiences like this one. read more

We chose to sit in the lounge area because that is typically where the best servers are. That was certainly true when we were there! Our server Maddy was a "10". Food was great! Had an absolute great time here! Staff was amazing, my waitress Danne was one of the best I've ever had! My steak was great, cooked perfectly medium rare, with some of the most tender French fries I've had in a long time. So the waitress did her best , as she was new , but NO managers was there helping her too ? First time I've ever eaten at an Outback Steakhouse before, but this was a great experience. The inside of the building was VERY nice. Our server was extremely helpful. For example, my partner and I wanted a blooming onion appetizer, but knew we couldn't finish it. Our server suggested the blooming petals, which is basically a smaller and cheaper version of the appetizer. The steak I ordered was cooked the way I asked, but I would probably skip the fries as a side. They were good fries, but getting their garlic mashed potatoes or steamed veggies might have tasted better with the steak. I will definitely return. read more

Have to be honest, we haven't gone to Outback in a while because it seems to have been mediocre for the money in the past. Tried it again last night and no change. Our three top managed to have undercooked chicken, overcooked chicken, overseasoned shrimp and underseasoned steak all in one sitting. Nice server but was overwhelmed and no one seemed to care. Didnt get our drink refills. Forgot our to go box. All took way too long. Just not a good night out and I'm giving two stars because I'm a cook and I have some sympathy. read more

Visited on New Years Eve. I've been to this location before and had no complaints, although it was sometime ago. It started with a Caesar salad with no dressing. No big deal. Then the meal came. Garlic mashed tasted as though the cover came off the salt. Not sure how this wasn't caught. They were inedible. My ribeye steak also had heavy seared salt spots. My daughter's filet mignon was overcooked. Just a travesty to do that to that cut of meat, at that price. My wife's sirloin was tough and the shrimp were rubber, the presentation of the shrimp looked as they were fake. The entire presentation was like the meal...unacceptable. $120 meal, with tip. The entire experience was just surprising and frustrating. By far my worst dining experience for that level of cost. Never again read more
