They also bring water bowls and "pup cups" for your dog. The diner's website further explains that they scratch-cook, so you'll wait a bit longer than similar roadside joints, but it's worth it. Nicely located near Lake Winona and its surrounding park, by the way. I liked the breaded fish sandwich and my wife enjoyed the BBQ. The restaurant also makes its root beer, which is almost worth the trip by itself. For families with young kids, there is a playground in the back behind the restaurant. My only dig is the surprisingly skimpy portions of the french fries, sweet potato fries, and such.

That's rare these days, but man it's super nice when you come across it! The food: It was super fresh! I watched him slice the tomato and onion right before he put it on my Gyro. Somehow he is able to provide A super delicious product without compromising the customers time. He was extremely efficient and the wait time was practically nonexistent. Right after I arrived a line formed behind me so I got in before the rush. That was around 11:45 AM. I'm not from here- but when I return later this summer I will definitely make sure to visit him!
