Worse Mexican food I have ever had, Taco Bell is better. You do not put rice or pinto beans in a burrito-only refried beans if you want a bean and cheese burrito Very disappointed. Too expensive and they do not tell you if you add cheese, guacamole, sour cream or salsa that it's extra-so a burrito that should cost $8-9 ends up being $14!!! Staff is quite rude! read more

Food is usually pretty good! Sometimes it could be a little fresher (not wilted lettuce) or dried out carnitas, but not terrible. However, my gripe is the cleanliness. This place is always dirty! Never a clean table in site. Who wants to eat at a dirty place? I told my daughter today was the last time until they can get it together bc it's gross and IMO unsanitary. This was a pleasant surprise. It was late; I was in a hurry and came across Burrachos. Having been to places similar to it (e.g. Qdoba and Chipotle's), I wasn't overly optimistic as to what I'd be getting. The formulaic, bland food at places like this don't really make it worth a trip. My concerns seemed to come true as I walked in and saw the same style confusing menu. If you've never been here, you order at the counter by picking your choice of meat, salsa, and (if you want), a side. Despite the way the menu is set up, this is really ala carte ordering and prices can add up quickly. To complete your meal you can add things like beans or guacamole. The food tasted fresh. If you're expecting Tex-mex, Cali-Mex, or West-Mex, this won't be it as they do not have a lot of the heavy cheese or sauces. The only thing certain: you'll get a lot of food you can watch them prepare fresh to your specific tastes. During my visit I opted for the quesadilla with steak and the chipotle salsa (medium hot). It was nicely spiced, tender, filling and made with decent sized bites of beef instead of ground steak. The only extra I added was a soft drink and the total price was just shy of eight dollars. Not a cheap place, but it is tasty and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised. Too bad there isn't a Burrachos closer to me. read more

This used to be one of my very favorites for something fresh and somewhat healthy... My husband and I stopped in today I ordered a chicken burrito and my 3rd bite I bit down on a two inch chicken bone... I was so grossed out I couldn't eat anymore. I nicely talked to one of the servers and she said she is so sorry they just switched meat distributors and are have some issues. The chicken itself was tiny cubes and just didn't taste right... We keep trying out Mexican restaurants here and I guess our standards are just too high as nothing has risen to meet them. I believe this place might be a chain too but unsure. The food here was very bland, inauthentic and just plain not good. Service was fine and friendly, but a bit disorganized. The place itself needed a deep cleaning. When I came in, I immediately notice the giant air ducts on the wall that were completely covered in dust. I took out my phone to take a picture, and from then on I was treated rudely by the employees. The boy making my tacos was careless and messy and barely spoke to me. He didn't even ask me the typical questions (like if I wanted cheese, lettuce or sour cream). Another employee told him he was being too messy and he simply replied "I know." Here is the weird thing, I was sitting down to write a review, and started to read Ann H's review, and it pretty much says it all. This place is a VERY pleasant surprise. I am so impressed that I am afraid to go to another location in case it messes up my view of Burrachos. Unlike Qdoba, Chipotle or Panchero's, this place serves fresh food, it actually tastes very good, and when you order tacos, they were put in a box, not smushed together in foil. This chain knows how to do it. The crispy tacos were and stayed crispy. The most shocking thing was the staff. They were polite, they listened to your order, they got it right, and they spoke English. Burracho's I am a fan. read more

Burrachos is a pretty clear Chipotle rip-off with all the style but little of the quality. We tried the El Nino, a barbacoa burrito, and some steak tacos. The barbacoa was very mild--not bad, but not really good, either--and the other items we got were completely forgetable. The sour cream had almost no taste and the consistency of milk. This place was a nice surprise. The food is fresh (they say they use local produce when they can), the space is airy and clean, and everyone working there is incredibly nice. Meh. Got a Barbacoa burrito, white rice, black beans, cheese, sour cream, Chipotle salsa. It was so forgettable, I can't remember what I just typed. Chips were plain, guacamole was just smashed avocado. The entire meal needed salt. Barbacoa is typically salty, really salty. None of that. The burrito had a light hint of the salsa, cheese, and sour cream, but they were all pretty flavorless, had the pink lemonade not tasted completely normal, I might have started to question coming down with something. The made in front of you burrito category is pretty full, if they want to grow, they need to set themselves apart. Having eaten all of the major players, and most of the regional as well, this place is at the bottom of the rankings. Get some more hot sauces ( cholula?, bruh...) and flavor up the meat a little, throw some lime in the rice, something... The food was just alright. What can you really expect from a chain type restaurant. Not sure if I'd ever come back, maybe if it was for convenience. I'm used to the more authentic Mexican food near the house. The real only negative thing about this place is the lack of cleanliness. The tables are dirty and the floors are worse. First time eating here - Got it to go. I live 45 miles away and the food was still warm. Easy to order menu, the place seemed very clean, staff was very friendly, food was great (chicken bowl, chips & queso). Only downfall was the small parking lot and busy intersection. Clearly inspired (ripped off from) Chipotles, but not nearly as good. We got a steak bowl (on a plate) and a barbacoa burrito. The steak was low quality and over-cooked, and the seasoning wasn't great. The burrito was, and I quote "meh." The habenero salsa was what you'd expect in Wisconsin - not hot! Burrachos is a great place to grab a quick lunch. Due to the awesome service and the fact that their corn salsa is spicy, I highly prefer Burrachos to Chipotle. Also, they have a burrito bowl called the El Niño that is about half the size of a regular bowl. This is ideal for people who have a tendency to eat too much simply because it is right in front of their face - like me. read more

Stopped here with my son to eat while traveling across Wisconsin. This type of Mexican restaurant seems to be springing up everywhere. Service was excellent -- friendly and fast. I can't argue with the other reviewers, the food here is fresh! You can see the staff in the back preparing the food with whole limes, sprigs of cilantro and chicken on the grill (no microwaves!). There are several of these type of taco joints in town, and this one is by far my favorite. I work close to Burracho's and order lunch at least monthly. They have fresh food - and it is made to order. I like the El Nino 'salad' - basically it is a burrito without the tortilla wrap. YUM! Their delivery at lunch is SUPER FAST. read more
