There were a few people in the bar area and we were promptly escorted to our table in an area with 4 tables. The place quickly filled up. Our server was perky and attentive. We walked from the hotel in 19% so were chilled. My husband ordered coffee but there was no other nonalcoholic drink option. The server suggested hot water with lemon slices and boy did that hit the spot. We were served complimentary homemade tortilla chips with a tasty salsa. I started with their soup of the day which was Pozole Rozo. I did not detect meat in This soup but it had plenty hominy and flavor. It hit the spot on a cold winter evening. I followed that up with Manny's Fiesta Salad with the Cajun Shrimp. I was happy the ranch dressing was on the side as I added a couple tablespoons and dumped the rest of salsa on top. The lettuce was crisp and I enjoyed the jicama which added an extra crunch. The 6 blacken shrimp were perfectly done. My husband ordered The Seven Seas Burrito which he said was excellent. He was happy when he came to the end of the Brito and found a scallop. This burrito must have been heavier on the shrimp and mahi mahi. Non the less he enjoyed his meal. We will be back next year for a convention, staying at the same hotel and will most likely come Back and try more items. Our bill came to $51 before tip which was not too bad considering the soup, coffee and two entrees. We just travels from vacation in FL and 4 days in TN so comparing prices they are right in line with other restaurants.

My husband and I wanted to try Hacienda in La Crosse, WI. The restaurant is nice, but upon entry,…read morethe door is way too close to the counter when you enter that you can barely get inside. We were greeted by someone who ended up being our waiter. He wasn't friendly, as he didn't even smile. We sat down, and he took our order. We were both immediately uncomfortable because we didn't get a warm welcome inside of the restaurant. That was the first red flag. We sat down and he brought our salsa, chips, and some white sauce that I always think at other places tastes like ranch with a Mexican flare. It has a tang to it like ranch. Anyways, we finished a round of chips before a different waiter finally came over and asked us if he could get us more chips. Why would another waiter come to our table? We waited quite awhile for our food, again, wasn't our waiter. The food was pretty good. We both ordered Fajita Bowls that had rice, refried beans, peppers and onions, lettuce, sour creamed and guacamole. I had the bowl with chicken and my husband had the steak. Both flavorful dishes! Our waiter NEVER came back to help us!!! A different waiter came over and I asked him for extra sour cream. He was very friendly. I don't know his name, but we sat by the window, which was mostly blocked by a big banner mind you. I wish we had him for our waiter from the beginning. He was always checking on his tables, and the one table behind us he made sure they were taken care of. Our actual waiter, which I never knew his name, has a buzz cut, and a scar on his lip or near it. We had to go up to pay as no one came to the table. Again, not the guy we previously had. I was so angry and this ruined our dinner experience! We are strongly thinking about not returning. Our actual waiter was at the bar making drinks and didn't attend to us at all! I think the guy who took the bill which was also the same "nice" waiter felt uncomfortable because of the whole thing. I was not happy at all about our experience except the food was nice, but again, the lack of care and being treated with respect as a customer went out of the window. Things need to be better with customer service for that waiter! We are at the restaurant around 5ish or closer to 6.

Salad bar is hit or miss- go look before you order, had more fruit than salad this time. I would do "highly recommend" because their main server is great but they are always short staffed (granted, we only come on weekend nights). One waiter and one runner is not enough for a busy night. Seems you could hire a high school kid to just bus tables and run food, but I don't know maybe they have tried. It is the number one complaint from not just me. Seafood enchiladas were good, I like their salsa which is not too spicy but has flavor. IF you want spicy I think you can order more authentic with an upcharge.
