At first, we were a little worried, because the maitre d' was stoned out of his mind. He seated us without grunting more than three words. However, the rest of our experience was uneventful. Overall, Tequila's is a nice North-West American meets Tex-Mex style restaurant. You can expect lots of cheese, large portions, and inexpensive prices. Nothing is spicy, but the food is still good. Free warm chips and salsa with each order. Great bar specials on domestic beer and some extremely sweet margaritas. Courteous and hard-working waitstaff. Recommended for a large party or a nuclear family. The place is within walking distance of our house, so we'll definitely be back. read more

In my opinion this is worse meal I have had in a very long time. The place is pretty run down and feels dirty to me. The plastic plants in the reception area are very dusty and faded. The food is pretty tasteless, I could do much better at a the local taco bell. The prices are very low but you get what you pay for. My recommendation is to steer clear of this place. read more

The server was very attentive to us. She brought our drinks right away. Our order was taken quickly. Our food came very fast. The food was cooked perfectly. This place is very rundown, dirty and looks closed when you drive up. We had the beef fajitas and a fajita quesadilla. The quesadilla was cold and the fajitas were very overdone. There really wasn't any flavor--good or bad. The food is pretty expensive for the quality. The only high point was the salsa seemed homemade and was pretty good. read more

My wife and I love this place! We go here at least once every 3 weeks because we love mexican food after having spend significant time in Mexico but we don't like paying the high prices of Manny's. Today, I went to your Restaurant. I ordered a chicken enchilada with rice and all the other fixings. All I got was the chicken enchilada and still had to pay the full price. Also your food was dry, bland and your guacamole tasted like dirt. Literally. I am never going there again.( The first part of this statement was written by my 15 year old daughter) After complaining to the manager I cannot believe that they did nothing to accommodate my daughter. I understand that this was a class field trip and that children are usually not taken seriously, but my daughter paid for this meal with her own money that she worked hard for. It is a poor excuse of a business if they cannot assist their patrons, no matter what their age. I will never go to this restaurant, nor will I be recommending it to my family and friends. read more

I have had several good experiences with this restaurant in the past, but my recent visits have left me less than pleased. A couple of months ago, my significant other and I wanted Mexican food for dinner, so we went to Tequila's. It was early in the evening, I believe right around 5:15 PM. The host (a young boy) sat us at a booth but did not give us menus. We sat there for fifteen minutes without being approached by anybody at all. Finally, we left and went elsewhere. Tonight, my significant other and I took my 3 year old daughter there for dinner, again around 5:15 PM. While we were greeted and brought drinks in a timely manner, the rest of the service was not at all acceptable. First of all, I ordered chicken fajitas for my daughter and I to share and asked for extra tortilla shells. When the food was delivered, he only brought 2 shells. I have never received only 2 shells for an order of fajitas, even when I don't ask for extra. Also, he did not bring plates for us to eat off of at all, just the sizzling plate the meat mixture is served on and a second plate with beans/lettuce/rice. I would have expected that a server would know to bring an extra plate since I specified upon ordering that my daughter and I were sharing the entree. We also only had 2 sets of silverware for the 3 of us. While fixing a fajita for my daughter, I saw something sticking out of the chicken. It was a bone. An inch long bone with a very sharp pointed edge. When the server came back with our extra tortilla shells (that I had to ask for again) I showed him the bone. He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well, it is a chicken," and walked away. Not even an attempt at an apology. I was completely taken aback. Now, I am fully aware that the server did not put that bone in my chicken. It was, in essence, not his fault. However, in a customer service position he should have taken responsibility for it and apologized. I didn't expect a free meal or even a free dessert, but would have greatly appreciated an apology from the server, if not the manager. I spent several years working full time in the bar/restaurant industry, and now work full time in a corporate customer service setting as well as part time in a bar & grill. I KNOW customer service and what received this evening was not acceptable at all. I highly doubt my family and I will be visiting this restaurant again. read more

We have ate here many times. This time was the last. The special was taco salads. We sat down had an inatentive waitress. It took her for ever to get us drinks and to answer our questions about the menu. She kept having to go back and ask co works for our answers. Once the "taco salads" came back all it consisted of was: Taco shell bowl, taco meat and shredded lettuce :( The meat wasnt even seasoned!! It was plain, nasty, flavorless. Disgusting. I ordered take-out from here and my cheese enchiladas were freezing cold and the cheese was still SHREDDED--not even melted a little bit. My rice was freezing cold. The only decent part was the queso dip, which was at least warm. I picked up the order 15 minutes after placing it, by the way. My husband also gave the guy a tip. What a waste of money. read more

This place looks run down, seemed a little dirty too, but the waitstaff was very nice! The salsa was about the only thing with flavor. We had tamales, enchiladas and burritos, they all tasted the same. Everything tasted watered down and one plate came out a little cold with slightly under done ground beef. There were a lot of people ordering the fajitas, so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing. Great drink specials though. read more

Terrible. Waitress was scatterbrained, blaming it on her recent vacation. Silverware was dirty with dried-on chunks. Food was minimal for the high price and not even flavorful. The worst part was that the food tasted and smelled like an ashtray. Smoking is not allowed in public restaurants anymore (even back in the kitchen) so I am not sure why the food tasted this way. There was an ashtray at the waitress station (empty at the time). I will never go back to this place and will recommend to others not to either. This was the Onalaska location. Stopped in for a quick bite and margarita at 1540 on 3/15/16. There was only one couple in the restaurant. They seated me and I watched the other couple leave shortly after. I sat there until 1600 before I left. No one came to wait on me. I told the two guys at the door, "I'm the only person in here! How come no one waited on me? Too late now!"
