Whatever you get will be plentiful, prepared well, taste great, and leave you full! We have always had Friendly and punctual service. The eggs Benedict seems to always be the special, but that's fine because it is a favorite of my family. Mine are the pancakes: big, solid & moist, and tasty! When they arrive, You have to formulate a plan to eat them, since they cover the entire dinner plate--edge to edge! Everything is a favorite here: the French Toast, the omelettes, the eggs. Breakfast is our thing; I've only gotten a club sandwich otherwise, which was very satisfying....Fresh cut turkey breast with crispy bacon, nothing fatty. Finish that down with some fries....yeah! We don't live in Holmen, but close by. Our family thinks nothing of driving up to this little gem of a lunch place. It's always sa

The salad bar is small, but sufficient for a salad or a soup as a side dish. I wouldn't order a salad bar salad for dinner since there isn't much. The roles are HUGE! See the photo I posted. They weren't warm, but they were soft a doughy. They have pies for dessert--a variety of types. Note that they bake the pies there but they don't make the pies there. Beer selection was descent and they serve old fashions. :) While I probably won't go back, I can see how this place could be a great place for the regulars.

Name just called, so 49 minutes of waiting. I've been in before- back during the bread shortage of December '25 when the bread truck broke down. 3 staff and only soup available. The manager and staff were incredible during the bread shortage. Steady but sure in pace. Recognizing that people may become frustrated, I was impressed by the manager, who offered me a cookie! Tonight? No manager that I could see. Well, it's snowing, so maybe everyone has "go slow because there's snow", but I doubt it. It's Wisconsin. We're used to snow. The ambience, I can describe, is watching slow motion in action. I've got to give some credit for credit's sake. It's difficult to manage and sustain the ability to move this slowly. When in house eaters have finished their dinners and ask me, as they walk to the doors, if I'm still waiting, one knows it's something to behold. It really is quite something to watch! With a turnover rate of less than 3 months for the average worker, it must be something of a requirement for those who like to snicker. I definitely recommend this restaurant for individuals who wish to enhance their ability for patience and calm in a chain known to be faster than a 5 star restaurant -but only by a small margin. Overall, I'll continue eating here because I like to be gouged on the price of soup and because I'm too lazy to cook. Plus, I've gotta admit it's great therapy; enhancing one's calm. Oh, no, they forgot my cookie!
