Well they just re opened and it's a shit show for service. There is NO clear direction on who is in charge and I honestly believe that the inmates a running the prison. For being remodeled you would of thought they would of given the layout better thought. Well all I can say is that I am disappointed with the food. It came out at best like warm. read more

Ordered my meal over the phone for delivery and My friend and I was rushed the entire time. The man in the phone even said, "Hurry up, just hurry up. It is busy here." My entire phone call lasted 5 min and 30 seconds. To me that is a pretty quick order on the phone. He did not give us the prices and just hung up on us. Wish I can give no stars for the review. Terrible customer service. 2 hours had gone by and we still had not received our food . We called and the gentleman answered the phone stating that he has a lot of orders and we need to be patient he then hung up on me before I could even ask a question. 3 hours later our food came and was cold. We went on Oct 30th during lunch. Service was great, prompt and professional. We had the buffet and ordered the pork fried rice and sesame chicken off the menu. The buffet was typical. The best dishes from the buffet were the pepper and teriyaki chicken, & the hot and sour was not bad. The rest of the dishes in the buffet were mediocre. The pork fried rice and sesame chicken were very good (for Monroe county, Wi)...we would go back. read more

Delivery is slow in my case since I'm on Ft. McCoy. However I ordered at 1030 and haven't gotten my food and it's now 1240. Called them up and was told I had just placed the order at 1210. No I placed my order at 1030....... ok cool. Not like I have a choice anyways. Better I I'll just walk to the PX and grab some food from Leroys Food truck. At least I'll have my food in less than 3 hours and counting. read more

The selection is pretty limited but it's almost always fresh and very tasty. I think I've been here one time when it wasn't very good. Cheaper than other Chinese buffets around so good value for the price. read more

Definitely hit or miss on the food. The few times I have been here with my family the buffet items were old and cold fried items were soggy. On the occasional take out, the lo mein is often bland and the crab Rangoon too sweet. I miss the old "king buffet" they were more consistent and you knew what you were gonna get. read more

I ordered around 6:15 pm online after not being able to get through on the phone. No one picked up for 30 mins. After placing my order I kept calling (20x) to just confirm my order. They said it was a possible 2 hour wait. I was prepared to wait. It gets to 8:45 pm still no food. So I just started calling again. I have a record of 66 calls, no one answered. A few times it went through but no voices or anything then it hung up on me. I found a second number & called that 4x when someone finally picked up, the guy barely new anything about what was going on. He said it would be another 2 hours & I said no I've already waited 2+ hours. He talked in his native tongue before saying "okay one more hour or its on its way" by this time I'm super frustrated. Finally food came around 9:30-9:45 times frame. She didn't have the correct sodas, she pulled them out of the trunk warm. I grabbed the food & deliberately asked is there silverware in the bag she said yes. There wasn't any in the bad at all. As we are pulling everything out of the bag & seeing what's what, we noticed there is missing items. Mind you it was a big order, 17 items totaling up to $85+ on top of all this I gave a $20 tip online. That was a mistake, as this was the worst experience ive ever had with delivery. This buffet style restaurant is decent. As you can imagine with any buffet, some food items will be colder than others depending what was recently made. The workers are very nice and friendly, offering to make us any of the items fresh is we so desired. I would recommend to go to this place around peak dinner hours if you want everything to be hot. But, the food was tasty. I loved the chow mein, they made us a fresh batch of that, and the cream cheese wontons were good as well! read more

This place used to be called King Buffet but within the last year it came under new management and is now called Great Wall Buffet. Having read other reviews of the old establishment we went to West Salem to get our Chinese for the past few months but decided to go to the Great Wall tonight. The buffet was $10 for an adult, it had some sushi, crab legs and all of the normal things you would expect at a Chinese buffet. Probably not the best Chinese buffet I have ever been to but definitely satisfied my Chinese food craving and I didn't get sick, so I count that as a win. I would definitely go back again. read more
