Stopped here for a couple of club sandwiches and this location offered us the option of fresh baked Rosemary Parmesan bread so my husband tried that but I stuck with what I know. That was a mistake lol his sandwich was so much better than mine. Even though he gets onions and extra mayo and plenty of things I don't like, I still made him switch sandwiches with me halfway through. Happy wife, happy life, right? Ordered delivery from here. Took more than an hour to get one sub. When I called to find out about it. I was told the sub was there then the man on the phone hung up on me. By the time I got the sub it was soggy wet bread. Maybe they should get rid of door dash and make their own delivery. read more

M and I tried Jersey Mike's for the first time ever in Onalaska, WI new location. When we first got there, we noticed that it was FREEZING inside of the restaurant! The temperature inside was about that same as it was outside. When noticed that the prices seemed pretty steep on the menu, but in reality I guess it is reasonable when you can get a giant sandwich for about 15 bucks and is 16 inches or a regular for about 8-9 bucks depending on what kind of sandwich you get. I ordered the Super Italian and my partner got the Chicken Bacon Ranch. The girl that asked me what I wanted on the sandwich must have been new, because she repeatedly kept asking me what I wanted, even after we sat down at the table. My advice would be to right down the toppings if you don't feel you will remember what I said. I will slow down the order time if you have to keep asking. Not being mean, but just trying to be helpful. She still didn't get my order right, and my sandwich was pretty messy, but had a good flavor. I did not want to Red Wine Vinegar on it, but she put it on there anyways, and I'm sure it was because she didn't remember. It was hard for us to enjoy our sandwiches because it was so cold in the restaurant. The outside temp was about 36 degrees, and the inside temp was about the same it seemed. Also, I noticed the blower to the air system was still on. If your heat isn't working, why are you blowing constant cold air through the vents? I know it wasn't anything they could help as far as heat was concerned, but don't keep the blowers going. I gave this place a 2nd chance and was as disappointed as the first time. The bread was nothing special, dry, dense and tasted like a toasted hot dog bun. (And not a good one). The meats had little to no flavor as well, even though they shave them in front of you. I bought 3 sanwhiches, 2 bags of chips and a soda and it was close to $40. This was my second experience at jersey mikes in Onalaska. My first was so good I had to go back. I ordered online 3 different sandwiches and when I arrived they had not been started. When I arrived home not one sandwich was correct and it was very disappointing. I tried to eat mine but really could not handle the oil and wine vinegar . Good ingredients and always fresh. However, I ordered the Original Italian sub, with a few changes and they pretty much missed what I asked them to do. I don't care much for their vinegar, so I put Olive oil only, for my online order. I could definitely taste vinegar on my sub. I asked for jalapenos. Nope, didn't get them. I ordered extra meat. Missed again. Lastly, there were no veggies on the subject. Maybe the request for Olive oil only confused them. Food was SO good but they need to work out some issues with making people wait a decent amount of time for their hot subs in the lobby!

This location has only been open a few days it is very busy with a consistent line to the door. While I was there (11:30-12:30) several groups came up to the door, saw the line and turned around and left. Even though they are very busy now, the staff is enthusiastic and efficient (it appears that they have brought in temporary rockstar corporate staff for the opening). My son and I spent over $20 for two regular subs, one bag of chips and one drink (which seemed high). I like that they slice the cold meats fresh to order, have generous portions,and have a grill for the hot subs. The menu board makes it clear what will come on the subs (although you have to search a little to discover that 'the juice' is olive oil and vinegar, and I was unsuccessful in locating what exactly 'the spices' are but they look and taste like a blend of herbs, not spices). They make the cold subs in front of you and you have the opportunity to modify the ingredients which are all visible. The hot subs are made at the grill, and you are not given the same opportunity to select toppings with the hot subs. Overall I think this could be an excellent sub shop. So why did I only give it 3 stars? Sadly I don't plan to return because of one ingredient: the bread. I expect a good sub bread to be substantial and flavorful but I found it to be soft and spongy and rather flavorless. I felt that the flavor and texture of the bread detracted from all the other fantastic things that were going on. Don't lose heart, if you are a fan of Subway or worse yet Lindy's bread you'll probably not mind it, but if you are a fan of Jimmy Johns or better yet Cousins bread you will surely be disappointed. read more
