This was just super average. I've been here before and it was better. We were seated in the corner of the restaurant and just felt completely disjointed. From the picture I took inside it wasn't full. There was others in our row but just kind of forgotten. I think either our server forgot about us at times or was overwhelmed. She was friendly, maybe a little tired but not overly nice. As for the food I had big hopes for this dish. However the veggies were super crunchy and not really cooked. Went for early lunch on Friday's a few times with coworkers and service at the bar was always slow despite there being very few other customers in the restaurant. On our last visit, I ordered a burger which just never came out. I told the bartender that I wanted to pay for my drink and leave because my lunch hour was over and his only response was "sorry I don't know what happened, are you sure you don't want to take it to go?" Not busy at all and it took 30 minutes for our waitress to get us some drinks. We thought a new way of doing things was putting in our order ourselves since it took so long. Once we placed our order, the waitress came out and wrote on a ticket. Once food came out, I already felt disgusting seeing the swarm of flies hiding behind the curtain trying to get on our lunch. It's been awhile since I've been back to Modesto and grabbing a beer with an old friend can be tough when everything is closed again in Modesto.. wear you damn masks and no large gatherings.. The waiter/waitresses did a great job leading by example by wearing their masks. Our server was Gabriela. My friend was indecisive with the beer selection they have on tap, but our server was patient and kind enough to offer tasters before ordering our talls. Shout out to Gabriela for the great hospitality and service and the chefs that day. Everything was on point. Management did a great job with the outside dining experience. Was not happy with our recent order. I ordered a 12 ounce Rib-eye at medium well and received my meat medium rare. I could salvage it somewhat by cooking it, but it doesn't resolve the mistake that the restaurant made. Making matters worst was the fact that the Rib-eye had no flavor. I have not been to an Applebee's for decade, but the commercials make it look like a fun place, my daughter really likes that song about Applebee's, so I thought I would take my family there. We got seated in a booth which was nice, and had a nice waitress, The staff all seemed nice. The thing that bothered my wife and I, was the place with just dirty. The tables, the windowsills, The carpet, I'll just look dirty and in need of a major cleaning. Not very many healthy options either. I ordered a shrimp bowl which was nothing special at all, especially for $13. In the future, I think we will just stick with Olive Garden and Panera, Will definitely not be coming back here, at least for a few more decades. read more

Outstanding restaurant!!! Went here last night, we were quickly greeted by the greeter, with a huge smile. She was so welcoming, friendly, and outgoing. I asked for a bar top table, we were quickly seated. The restaurant was quite full, everyone was working hard, and the wait staff was very attentive! We didn't have to wait very long for anything! Our server was so sweet, outgoing, and friendly! She came to take our orders right away, we quickly received the appetizers, and drinks we ordered. Food followed, and was amazing!! Everything was cooked to perfection! We all enjoyed our meals, and the amazing service! The drinks were delicious, and they had great drink specials too. Extremely great service, and food! Although I enjoy the convenience of Carside-To-Go, I feel like the last few times they've shorted me on food. I recently got a lunch combo (wrap and salad) and although the salad came in a decent sized container, I opened it up to find it a quarter of the way full. I went back another time for dinner and my fiancée got the three cheese chicken cavatappi and there really wasn't that much in there; you could see the bottom of the container it came in. I would rather eat the first thing I found in a trash can than go back to Applebee's. read more

This might be the best dining experience I've ever had! dinner at about 7. we were told it would be a 15 to 20-minute wait, it only ended up being about 10. We only sat for about 2 minutes max before our server Scarlet brought silverware and got our drink orders. My husband chimed in and got appetizer going too. She came back quickly and said she was putting on fresh coffee for us, bit had two cups ready. She said our appetizer would be out shortly and took our order. Our cheese sticks (which are delicious) showed up fast and hot. She was continually moving and said she'd keep an eye on our food. We watched her because she was multitasking and keeping up with her many tables. Our food arrived and it was wonderful. She brought extra things we asked for, and came by to refill our coffee. Then we asked for the bill and boxes. We typically have very bad luck with servers and restaurants in general. this might be the best experience I've ever had as far as a server goes. she was prompt, very efficient, very friendly and had the cutest laugh (my husband said she laughs like me) her positivity was infectious. I tried to say something to the manager about how good she was but she referred to her as Samantha, when she had introduced herself as Scarlet. (and I checked her name tag). I still said she was great. We of course, I left her a hearty tip. hopefully she gets to keep every penny of it because she definitely earned it. If you're lucky enough to sit in her section you will have the best experience.
