Had a coupon/offer from an app and decided to try this out. I couldn't tell you the last time I had been in an Applebees, but overall, not a bad experience. I went with the burger special which is $9.99 for a soda, fries, and a bacon cheeseburger. I'm not a soda drinker so that was kind of lost on me. I added a beer for another $5 or so. There is a tequila upgrade option that pairs with the burger special which probably would've been a more wise order, but oh well. Beer was cold and served in a fancy glass, which I appreciate. Way too many bars just give you generic glasses for beers. I don't know if this burger was particularly advertised as a smash burger, but it definitely looked like it was, with some nice, crisp edges. There is no mayo, mustard or ketchup on the burger so you have to add it yourself. But IMO the burger was the standout. Definitely a solid burger, one I would order again. Fries were very salty, as is typical in most of the US. But were served warm and fresh. I finished off with an unpictured milk shake which for $3-ish was worth the cost, but likely would not order again. If you haven't been to an Applebees in a while, probably the best thing about dining here is paying at the table. You insert or tap your card on the little kiosk thing when you're doing, and you're on your way. Why every restaurant doesn't have a non-intrusive, easy to use tableside way to pay is beyond me. read more

Applebee's can provide an easy, affordable and somewhat healthy option in a pinch. I usually get the 2 for $25 deal that comes with an appetizer and two entrees. The options for entrees are slim, especially if you want to stick to the $25 price tag. I wanted to grab lunch for my husband and I last week, so I ordered the boneless wings (garlic parmesan), the grilled cheeseburger with fries (also comes with tomato basil soup), and the salmon ($3 upcharge) with seasoned broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes. That is a very decent amount of food for the price. I placed the order through the app for curbside pick-up. I called once I arrived and someone came right out with my order. I checked the food and pulled off. I was around the corner when I realized that I didn't receive my drinks. I had ordered two flavored lemonades. One strawberry and one prickly pear. I had to turn around and go back. It was a bit of an inconvenience. I tasted both drinks and the prickly pear is super sweet. I will steer clear of that flavor in the future. The service stood out--both the manager and our server, Staci, were incredibly friendly and attentive. Staci was especially nice and made the meal more pleasant. Home run. The key in reviewing any restaurant is to consider their value proposition. Applebee's isn't trying to be a Michelin star. But that being said, this a VERY well managed Applebee's! Erwin, Eezak, and the team were very welcoming, very kind, very attentive, it was clean, quiet, and the food was good. We brought our 1 and 3 year old kids and this was a VERY great spot to bring our kids. It will become a common destination for us. Not to mention the cost is VERY reasonable in today's world. We came for the $1 margs and they were really good for the price. My BF got the margarita flight. So NOT worth it. Do not get. They're all really sour and surgery and you pay like $20 for it. We come to Applebee's to eat and go home! We understand it's not fast food. All I wanted was ribs and salad. No French dressing! Decided I'd take mashed potatoes which were awful!! Could not get the servers attention to save my soul from hell!! Tried to pay the bill, couldn't get a check couldn't get a box! Tried to walk to the bar and couldn't find anybody, they must have been on a smoke break?? Not sure? Tried to get the manager's attention and he didn't see me. Was charged $1.99 extra for a salad? There is something very wrong with the chicken breast for the Fiesta lime. The last few times, it has had the consistency of rubber. This review is for the curbside pickup. The online ordering process was fast and easy. When you arrive you park in a designated, numbered spot. Then you notify the restaurant that you have arrived, and the spot you are parked in. They bring your food out right away. You can order, pay, and tip on the app for an easy, no-contact process. I haven't dined in at Applebee's since COVID started but I have ordered on the app and used curbside pickup quite a few times. We had a gift card from Xmas that needed to be used, so stopped in for a quick dinner. It's cute how they make it appear local by having Westfield Murals in the restaurant. Service was prompt and nice, food was quick & hot. I feel like it's a step about fast food... if you want something that is cheap and quick. You know is sodium filled and not really good for you. Their lunch combos have so many choices. As one item, I was planning to get the chicken tortilla soup but read the note saying it contains pork. Why? It should be chicken. Scratch that choice. Wow! Once I researched the nutritional values, I realized that their regular healthy choices are not very healthy. THOUSANDS of milligrams of sodium/salt!! No way. Look online for nutritional values or ask the host for their notebook of them. The notebook revealed that Applebee's has a lemon olive oil vinaigrette. Who would have thought? Love it! So I finally settled on a signature item of the lunch combo. The grilled chicken Caesar salad, lunch portion, was somewhat healthy, but for some reason, it has 900 mg of salt. This is the worst Applebees. Any time we try to eat there no one ever comes to take your order and they are NOT busy. This is the second time we had to leave. So I am not usually impressed by chain restaurants but our dinner tonight was really good. It was more like 3.5 stars but still good. We had a ribs/chicken combo and steak/ribs and they both were good. I was surprised by how good the steak was especially since I get mine well done. It was really flavorful and tender. Loaded mashed potatoes were the star of my meal. I had a Cosmo with my meal and it was good. For dessert we got a blondie because I love those. But this one was not so great. Not even warm. Our server was indifferent and definitely not friendly but he did cover the basics. No table touch by manager. I am a stickler for that, because that shows if they care or not. This is a great local eatery that serves an amazing variety of food choices from burgers to steaks, chicken and seafood which is on special now for Lent! The service is almost always excellent and attentive and I am a big FAN of the table top system that lets you pay your bill when you are ready plus we've played trivia games on! The only thing I would say Applebee's needs to step up the game is to add a bread offering like ocharleys and Texas Roadhouse. read more

My boyfriend and I normally enjoy going here, having drinks & a relatively inexpensive (2 for $20 menu) dinner. The menu had changed since the last time we were here and we could no longer get the chicken dish (my favorite) as a part of our normal deal! Even though there were more expensive dishes on the special menu our waiter refused to accommodate us. We also had the margaritas which (picture attached) looked like water, and tasted equally as underwhelming. Not to mention it took more than 10minutes to make each drink at the bar. While the bartender is off talking to the manager. Overall just not a great experience. My Son was so excited to try this restaurant and we ordered several different salads and entrees. Where to start...the chicken salad crispy was horrible... the fries were undercooked and soggy. I love Applebee's as a restaurant but this location is very poorly ran. My dine in experience has always been slow and uninviting. When coming in to pick up a to go order (on numerous occasions), the employees are gathered around talking. They look at me and don't greet me or ask to help me. I just stood at the bar waiting for anyone to assist me. I'll wait around 10-15 minutes past when the food should've been picked up, they never have it prepared on time or close. The staff is unfriendly and what I assume is the manager was hateful when I brought an order back in letting them know it's not the right thing. I'm patient and rarely give a bad review as I've just reached adulthood and have worked in customer service on many occasions. Subpar for this location is truly a gracious description. read more

I am giving my waiter 4 stars.....not the restaurant. I ordered beef nachos and the nachos were delivered with less than a tablespoon of ground beef yet cost the same amount as my son's very beefy burger. My waiter offered to have more ground beef put on the nachos and continued to make sure our visit was pleasant. Hats off to you Timothy S.
