Yes, it's a chain... but this one has tasty food, cold Sam Adams beer on tap, and friendly servers. Here's the plan: take your date/ friend/ Mom to Applebee's for lunch, sit at the bar and order a draft beer. Half-priced appetizers. Total check $25. The chicken quesadillas were delicious, came with sour cream and red salsa. The slightly darker Oktoberfest beer was perfect for these. None of that lemony IPA. The buffalo chicken wingless were not good. Too much sauce and too much heat - but they will make a good salad topping at home. They have giant tvs, football on one and baseball on another. Wonderful service and the burger night is really worth a try- we loved it! We also tried the rib special and it was delicious! We will be back! Everything was hot and made as ordered. They absolutely ruined my meal. I ordered boneless mild wings. I got their screamers. At first the bartender tried to convince me they were what I ordered, only to find out that the cook had made a mistake. I couldn't eat my meal because my mouth was on fire. The telephone ordering system is a joke. The order was screwed up into "additional sides" for the ones with the meal and missed an entree. I have to say the manager came out and corrected it when I told him what I ordered and how poorly the order was relayed. The ribs and Cesar salads were spot on. But the other 2 entrees sadly lacking. The sirloin was so tough it couldn't be chewed. The salmon had been cooked on a grill with old oil because it tasted left over. (Used to be served on a plank.) So we were helping a family member paint and get ready for a move in. This is literally the only thing open with food/drinks after 8:30 in the area. So that's the only reason I gave it 3 stars.. cuz nothing else is open except fast food we went 2 nights in a row after working on the house. First night I ordered chicken Alfredo.. (dry on the sauce but chicken was passable) second night all you can eat boneless wings.. I didn't even want seconds what is that all about. Every Applebees seems to dry out the food in the kitchen.. Okay, recently I've given this Applebee's another try. We've had some less than favorable experiences in the past but, what the hell ya know? My husband and I have started doing our lunch dates here after a day out shopping or whatever. I'm so glad we gave it another shot. Always hot food and good service. Last time we were there we took my sister and she ordered something she really didn't care for. Boy was the manager on it! Came over to the table and apologized for any inconvenience and fixed the issue. We always end up with the same waitress as we sit outside and usually come around the same time. Her name is Katelyn. What a freaking sweetie pie she always is! She works really hard and is always such a delight. We know we are in for a nice lunch when we see her come out. Keep it up Applebee's. We recently ate at the Brooksville, Fla. Reastaurant. We arrived at 3pm, and promptly got a drink order placed. Love the blue Adios tea! (1.00) Our server was Dawn, very polite, and helpful. Checked on us a couple of times, she was close to us cleaning, and sweeping keeping busy. Not many more than a couple at the bar, but it was the end of the shift. We gave a 4* for overall experience, because the manager never showed at our table. The food was good and the drinks very good, the place was clean, and our server was good. Thank you Dawn for a great dining experience. I love Applebees, and Brooksville is very conveinient for us. We will be back! read more

This may be the only sit down chain restaurant in town aside from the buffet across the street and the beefs. It's just bad. This Applebee's needs to step up their game. I came here with my girlfriend at 2pm on a Monday and we were seated immediately; however it took five minutes for someone to come to our table.Why? The place was dead as you can imagine. . . My girlfriend had been dying to try a Bloody Mary and Applebee's was the only place around serving alcohol at this time. So she ordered that and I ordered some sweet/sour mixed drink. (Yes, we are THOSE people). Took awhile for our drinks to come surprise, surprise. The Management of this operation is wholly insufficient. You can't get a French Dip at 41 and 50 to save yourself. For a long time, they didn't have the meat. And while I'm in a county surrounded by cows, I do find that hard to not swallow. Now they don't have the dip. So you can now get a roast beef sandwich. P.S. I usually go here for a night out to dinner with my husband. It is great for date night, out with friends, or for a family dinner. The servers are usually pretty good, great with kids, and attentive. Their food is standard for a big chain bar and grill and their menu has something for everyone. It is a tad on the salty side, but not so bad. I like the 2 for $20 menu. A good way for a couple to have a nice steak dinner without breaking the bank. Their menu choices have gotten much more interesting with higher quality. The last two visits had great customer service and interesting flavor choices. I made a recent trip to this Applebee's last Saturday night, it was after the demolition derby at the fairgrounds. Now this Applebee's is usually always busy at nights. Especially on the weekends. So the group I went with figured it would be slow to get all of our food and drinks. No, not at all. The service was excellent, everyone received the appetizers quick and all the drinks got to the table quick. I'm a nurse at the hospital down the road and placed a to go order to be ready by 1226 which happened to fall perfectly between surgery yet I waited in my car for 5-10 minutes then finally walked in just to have someone tell me it'll be ready shortly. Then at 1250 another server came up and said I need her ticket to get her food together. Which why it wasn't done when I first had to walk in who knows. Finally at 1253 I got my food . We were so looking forward to eating out, but I have to say this particular restaurant was dirty. My daughter had a reddish blond pubic hair in her fries/metal, pre-prepared tray. I also noticed my soup came out in a less than clean bowl, and the fries tasted re-fried, and hard. The manager looked at us like. What? We have a female preparing the food. She took the fries off and the the meal with fries. I was disgusted. Not to mention the straws were put into the drinks and brought out.
