I've got to say that I like Checkers. I especially like their two for two dollar sandwich specials. Their sign outside makes me giggle because it looks like it says Cheekers lol. FOOD POISONING !! Employees are nice but something is very wrong - I got a horrible case of food poisoning tonight after eating sm fries & the new Philly steak sandwich thingie(which was like salty leather). 1.5hrs after eating I was hit with crippling stomach pains, explosive diarrhea & now vomiting. Nothing else Ive eaten in last 24hrs could have triggered these symptoms. This was my last trip to any Checkers. Unless you enjoy explosive diarrhea & laying in bed in horrible pain, you may want to steer clear. read more

This is the best Checkers around. They are always busy and the burgers are top notch. The burgers are always perfect. I've been to other checkers and sometimes the burgers are good and sometimes not good. This place is consistantly good. Always a line of cars. That's a good sign. read more

They are supposed to be open until 3am, but they tried to ignore me when I got there at 2:40am (finished cleaning, looked around, started cleaning something else). Then they grudgingly came to the window and told they were closed and refused to make anything at all. They acted like it was completely unreasonable to ask to order something 20 minutes before closing. They had to have closed WAY early because they were almost entirely finished cleaning. The registers and all signs saying they are open are still up and it is 2:50am now. I'm betting they leave it on until the actual closing time at 3am. They should have apologized and offered me a coupon or better yet...not be LAZY and stay open their entire shift. read more

I like Checkers. Sure, it's greasy fast food, but these hot dog and hamburger joints have fun and funky architecture and give off a friendly vibe. Sad to see some of them closing down. We went through the drove thru maybe 15 minutes ago. The girl got frustrated I guess waiting for our order and a guy took over. After we placed our order we got to the window and asked to add 2 ice cream and the guy said "are you f*cking serious" and the other guy said walk away, walk away". Sorry for spending more money. Then the fry lovers fry was seriously depressing, tasted great but obviously shorted on fries. Called to complain and the employees literally started cheering in the background. Hands down worse fast food experience I've ever had and I'm from Tampa so that's saying something. Should really pay attention to your night crew. read more

This particular Checkers always has the best-tasting food around. I don't know if it's the way they balance their toppings, train their staff, or what, but it always tastes better than other locations. One thing that peeves me though is the fact that they often don't give me a receipt after I use the survey on the back of the receipt from a previous order. I pulled in at 1:38 AM and went to order food, there were two employees inside and they both saw us then the woman said something to the guy and she turned around and shut the lights off while looking straight at us.
