I'm in town on business and my lawyer insisted I come here for the Blackend Grouper Sandwich…read more Shw was right. Stellar service as soon as I walked in and that continued with Piper, my server. The fries could have been crispier ( Iasked for them crispy/well done) but the fish sandwich was the star of the show so I didn't mind. I chose the local IPA over the sierra Nevada Hazy and there was no contest - a much better IPA. The Grouper sandwich was MP so I asked, I got severely burned at Legal Seafoods in Boston last year when Mr, Big Shot didn't ask first. Sam's is a wonderful place for all your eatung needs.

I had just eaten a huge breakfast, but had to stop. This place is so warm and welcoming, so cool and laid back, so friendly and chill. It's great for all ages. There's a huge deck, overlooking the Gulf... and an extra tiki bar, off to the side (and who doesn't need an extra tiki bar?!) The food menu is tempting and extensive (grouper, stop calling to me!) and the drink menu is fun and fabulous (and also calling to me). I had a banana/amoretto concoction that made me wonder what I'd been doing with my life, when I should have been here. I kept trying to get hungry enough to order food, but couldn't do it. I'll just have to go back ASAP and get you the seafood and starters info you richly deserve. Sam's is right there on the waterfront, next to the picnic pavilion. The private parking lot is sort of small-but somehow I snagged that spot at noon on a Saturday. There's also street parking close by. I'll bet it's packed at night, though, when they have live music and it's sunset time. Come check them out. If you get there before me, please tell me about the food!

First, I would have given 5 stars if were not for Bri, the "hostess". She was extremely rude…read more While we (6 of us) were at the bar waiting for a table on the deck, only two chairs at the bar available, which was fine; we had two handicap people with us who needed to sit, the rest were fine standing. A table behind us opened up and the (unfortunately did not get his name) male bar tender told us to grab it while we wait...and to bring our barstools with us. As we were sitting Bri comes up and literally yells at us we CANNOT sit there! I explained the guy behind the bar told us to, she continued to yell that it is not allowed and we have to move, this went on for a good 5 mnutes until I just threw my arms up and was like lets gon(but we had just gotten our cocktails so were going to leave once finished them). As this was happening two people grabbed and sat in the two chairs at the bar, so now we have no seats at all. The female bar tender asked what happened and we told her, she was like nope you had every right to that table and Bri was absolutely out of line. Told her I tried to explain to her and the bar tender said I should have just sat and not moved....anyway...that really put a bad taste in our mouth. We were still enjoying our cocktails when they called us with a table to be seated on the deck...It was Bri again and still had an attitude with us. We decided to stay as it was getting late and after 4 of our group just completed a 19 hour drive were hungry and ready for a little break. Our server Mo really was fantastic, patient and kept checking on us. The food was very good, the drinks were not quite as strong as we were used to, but very tastey...and Mo kept our glasses full and very pleasant even though her beloved pup had just crossed the rainbow bridge. I hope management see this and takes appropriate action with Bri (as a manager I would have fired her for treating customers like that) and gives Mo the credit for our experience there turning around! My husband and I live 3.5 hours from the area, but go to that area often, would we go back, probably but hopefully Bri is retrained, reprimanded or no longer there...
