When the only other restaurant in walking distance is on a crazy wait and you can't, you go to Applebee's. It's been decades since I sat in an Applebee's. Of the numerous chains like it, Applebee's was never my favorite. I mean, the food was always just ok, and service totally depended on the server and the day they were having, so naturally it fell out of my thoughts entirely. Recently they resurfaced in my consciousness thanks to the "Dollarita" promotion. Who could forget that? I think it was that promotion that made going into this restaurant less of a struggle for me. The promotion made the brand seem downright fun, and fun people don't eat crappy food. Right? Right! Dinner was decided on as soon as we sat down. UNLIMITED CHICKEN FINGERS AND UNLIMITED RIBLETS FOR $12.99! How could there be anything else on the menu better? Even if there was, we weren't interested and proceeded to plow through plate after plate of these items. The riblets were tender and tasty, but the sauces were too sweet and a little thick for me. I should've asked to have the sauce on the side, but never got around to that request. The chicken fingers were your all white meat tenderloin type with a nice crunchy seasoned breading. You know the real peppery kind? To cut that you got honey mustard though, which was pretty tasty. Our server was attentive and efficient, but I don't know if I'd call her friendly. She certainly was helpful though, and that's what matters. All in all a solid experience. I didn't expect much, and what I got over delivered. read more

I normally love Applebee's ribs but not today. I hated it today. Who was cooking? It was cooked ribs with a bunch of sauce poured all over it. The sauce smelled. I don't know what sauce it was. Sorry, Applebee's I've moved on. read more

As Applebee's generally go, it's average in taste, quality and value. We ate there because it was close by to our hotel; and it was open. There were no huge thrills regarding our dining experience to rave about. I had the chicken tortilla soup and a salad and it was OK. I would give each a 6 on a 10 scale. The salad could have had more varied toppings on it, but it is what it is. The soup had a bit of a spicy hot zip and was adequate in flavor. We also ordered fish and chips with a side of slaw, chicken tenders with fries, and a fried shrimp plate. The others in my party said their food was just OK. The coleslaw was probably the biggest disappointment of the whole meal. It really was terrible. It tasted watered down with absolutely no flavor whatsoever. If I'm ever in that area again, I probably would choose somewhere else to eat. read more

Look I'd give 0 stars if I could I'm so disappointed as this was one me and my daughters favorite spots I'd take her here rewarding her for doing well in school I moved out of state for a while so I haven't been here in about 5 yrs thought I'd bring my wife for dinner this past Saturday/Sunday morning because their open late we missed a wedding reception so we were hungry and I seen Applebees was still open an headed over let me say when we got there we ordered appetizers first they came out so quick before we were even done with our appetizers our entrees were already coming out you usually order appetizers because it usually takes a min to prepare your entree but no it was to fast so I spoke with a former employee of Applebees and was informed that nothing is cooked fresh it's all prepared early in the morning sometimes the early morning hours even before opening and everything is just microwaved an heated for you if you've ever wondered why they say carful "HOT PLATE" it's because it was in the microwave that's not the bad part there's more lol me and my wife ended up getting very ill from the food and was on the toilet with a trash from it coming out both ends if you catch my drift after feeling slightly better we contacted the manager whom didn't seem like it because he took all my info and said he'd speak to his boss as I was requesting a refund here 5 days later no call or email this was totally unacceptable customer service he asked did we go to the hospital how? Who was going to drive us our children who aren't old enough to drive!?! Lol if I said it was coming out both ends smh as you can see in the pics I took pictures of my wife's left overs and it has a funny smell even after bro refrigerated the chicken is under cooked and my wife requested well done even when I've never thought I had to request that for chicken nobody wants tough, chewy undercooked chicken I was hoping the manager would reach back out so I waited to post this review but no call no email as he said I'd receive we will never return to any location after hearing how the food is prepped I don't even like putting my left overs in a microwave let alone pay for microwaved food from a establishment so we're never going back to Applebees. read more

When the girl on the phone said no we walked over and the manager said yes! Flying in from California at night is a bummer because everything to eat is closed! I don't recommend coming here. We waited for 20 minutes and no server came to help us, we had to go ask someone to be served. Which is absolutely ridiculous. The food came out cold, overall a 0/10 experience. read more

Can I give a zero? I don't understand why we keep doing this. My wife and I keep going to Applebee's and keep getting treated horribly. The staff is just rude, unhelpful, lazy and quick to point the fingers at each other. This store needs to under go some serious house cleaning starting from the top down. My wife and I ordered Applebees through doordash. Well we were delivered the wrong food (yes I know it happens) we talked to the doordash driver and he explained that, that was the food that was handed to him and we would need to contact Applebees. My wife calls them and a girl answers my wife proceeds to explain what was going on. The waitress said it was the drivers fault not hers, even though she next admitted that she was the person to hand the driver the wrong bag. My wife asked them to resolve this issue and. Then the young lady started being rude and stated that we can come pick it up or leave it and that we were still going to pay for it then she hung up on her. So then my wife calls back this time asking for a manager. No help and then he pointed the finger saying it was doordash fault yet his own waitress admitted that she took it up. No help. This our latest experience of many with Applebees. This is the last straw we will not return to this Applebees ever again. Avoid this place! Go any where but here. Well unless you want to be treated like crap read more

We are in Denver on business for the next four nights and our hotel is right next to this Applebees. Didn't feel like getting back in the car to drive anywhere so we decided to walk on over to the closest thing and hoped for the best. We were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waitress was really wonderful and took great care of all our requests. We decided to do the two for thirty, had the boneless wings and they were fresh, hot and plentiful. We both ordered the whisky burger which has double pepper jack cheese, applewood smoked bacon, onion straws and fully dressed. It was so good, one of my favorite burgers at Applebees and they cooked it perfect. If you haven't tried it you should. Great experience at this location. It's tiring trying to always find a place to eat that won't disappoint you and take all your money as well. Thanks guys for doing a great job! read more

Our presence was not even acknowledged tonight we felt discriminated as we saw other tables get attended.. seemed odd that we were rhe only hispanics there and the only ones not being helped we ended up leaving and never going back. Shrimp bowl only has six shrimp and it doesn't say on the menu. I should have asked but I thought it came with more than six small shrimp.

The staff was amazing! After a long day I placed an online order since I was staying at the hotel near by, but I made a mistake placing my order online and the hostess was friendly and got her manager right away and he helped fix my problem. Best customer service with no questions asked! I took responsibility since it was my error. It was so nice to have service like that especially having a long day. Thank you both for your understanding and kind hearts! I will be coming back in the future when I'm in town. read more

Let's be real: Applebees is not good. I know this, I should know better, but sometimes I don't. Full disclosure: I am not typically a fan of these high volume chain restaurants. I find the food to be OK, but there is no upside in going to them. That said, I try to give them a fair shake because there are exceptions and I want to highlight them. On this trip, I did one of those deals where you can create your own 3 course meal. I got Mozzarella sticks, Caesar Salad, and a Burger. And here was my verdict: the food tasted OK but it wasn't hot! Everything was lukewarm. It's pretty lame to get Mozzarella Sticks that are just cooked through but not hot. Ever make a hotpocket at home in the microwave where it was just cooked through but not hot enough? It was like that. A few seconds less and it would have been cold in the middle still but if it was done a few seconds more, could have been great. Ditto with the burger and fries. Bottom line is the food is OK, nothing special, and you get it lukewarm and not hot. If you don't mind it, then this is your jam. If you have some kind of a standard for food, might be disappointing. read more

Food: 3/5 Ambiance: 2.5/5 Services: 3.5/5 Prices: $$ (avg 15/person) Some time its good to just follow the flow and go the American way... We missed out flight out from Denver and was offered a great rate to stay at the Marriott at the Gateway Park for $79/night. This is a semi-industrial area and there's 3 restaurants just a block from the hotel, Montana Grill, Uno Pizza & Applebee's... After spending the whole afternoon skiing, then stuck in the traffic for nearly 3.5 hrs and missing our flight back to Houston, we thought, why not go crazy and eat something fattening and unhealthy... So, Applebee's that is! We ordered the following: The Ultimate Trio $11.49: Choose any 3 items from about 12 choices and I picked the [1] Quesadilla tower with chunks of steak, bell peppers, onions & lots of cheese, very flavorful and taste better when you dipped into the salsa that comes with it, the best item [2] Boneless hot wing with ranch dip, get about 8 crispy chicken nuggets dipped in some sort of tabasco mixes [3] Cheese slider, you get 2 of this slightly bigger than usual slider with a generous patty. I didnt touch the 2nd one and not even finish the first. Its just OK but its sure better than the slider from Little Big! Burger $9.99: My partner went for this huge helping of burger with fries. It came open-face with a big patty & equally sized slice of cheese and 2 slices of bacons, i didnt taste it but it does look OK! Perfect Ritas: They uses the premium spirit and served straight up in a salt-rimmed Martini glass. Yes, this was a PERFECT rita, love it! Peach Sangria: Quite refreshing but lack the "fruitiness". They uses Sutter Home White Zin, so, nothing to rave about... Overall, we had quite a satisfying meal considering the day we had. We just want to eat something and go back to our room, rest and fly back to Houston the next day. I have been to Applebee's once before about 4 years ago and the most memorable thing i had was their riblets, i'm glad they still serve that but this time, i wanted something different and i have to say, they are better than TGIF! read more

I wish I could write a better review, but the even though the food was decent the service was pretty off. But I am getting ahead of myself. We stopped in for dinner tonight because the next door restaurant we wanted to go to had a really long wait. We were seated pretty quickly but were never given menus. We ended up having to ask the waitress for menus after she took drink orders. We had a decent size party (7 people). I am not sure if the waitress was new or just off tonight but the food came out very staggered to the point where some were done eating before other got anything they ordered. We also had to ask for more water and napkins a couple of times before any came out. One person at the table who ordered a baked potato with a steak was brought just a potato no butter or anything else. When he asked if something was supposed to come on it, the waitress responded with a "oh you wanted something with it?" Nope he wanted to eat a plain potato - yes he wanted at least butter. The best part was paying our bill. She would only take 1 check at a time and then she had to go get change from somewhere else but had given the receipts to the customers so she had to come get them back to know how much change to give. *facepalm* Now the food. I ended up getting the pick 3 option inside the normal menu. I ordered the Cesaer Salad, loaded potato soup and the beer and cheese pretzels. I could have passed on the pretzels but the soup and salad were good. The cheese sauce for the pretzels was just too heavy. Overall assessment - the food was decent when it finally came out, but service for a larger party is seriously lacking. read more

After a long work day my friend and I walked into this Apple Bee's around 11pm to grab a late night snack to fuel our overworked bodies. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and sat by Elise . Elise informed us about their Happy Hour menu, and instantly brought us glasses of water while we decided on our order. First off let me say that the Wonton Tacos are absolutely AMAZING, oh my word. They're very flavorful, perfect size and pure finger food perfection. The nachos, meh not so much. I am writing this review for two things; one being Elise and her sweet, friendly and perfect personality . She is what every person working in customer service should be. Two, those tacos. Thank you apple bee's. read more

Terrible service. Never seen a waitstaff walk and talk to you when asking for something. It was a problem for us to order a margarita cause they didn't have the lime juice mix. Place an order online and ended up having to select the pay at restaurant instead of curbside due to the website. I park and walk-in to pay after I received a phone text that my order was ready. Terrible terrible experience here. This is coming from someone who rarely complains about their meals or restaurant experience only because I've been in their position. But this experience was just far too horrible to not leave a review. We waited 39 minutes before actually being helped by a waitress we had a party of 4 adults and 5 kids. The waitress they did assign to us was brand new so she was set up for failure. Our order was taken at the same time as the other couples but for some reason our food was behind their food by 20 minutes. Not only that but all of our orders was wrong. 15 minutes to get drinks and kids drinks and lastly I don't order steak from restaurant because they usually are not how I like my steaks. But I had an itch to get a steak. Instant regret because my steak was so raw it was inedible. And I like mine medium rare. So that's saying something. Overall just supremely disappointed with the service and food. I even got a new steak to take home and that one was also just as bad as the first one Would not recommend at all avoid this Applebee's read more

It tasted like really salty and it had a overwhelming taste of radishes in all the food. Also the shrimp pad Thai good yes

All I have to say is HAPPY HOUR! After 9pm they have late night happy hour, lots of apps half price and good priced drinks. Bartenders are super friendly as well. My go to is always the Wonton Tacos. They are simply delicious! Lots of different flavors combined to make awesome yumminess! The boneless wings were a little dry and over cooked but not bad. The Sweet Asian Chili sauce has a nice little kick to it. read more

Sat at the bar last night. To the bartender with the diamond stud in His ear: sorry I took you away from your fellow coworkers pow wow. I know you were busy and dreaded getting me a menu and taking my drink order. To the manager: when you run out of something simple like oranges then get your bottom to the store and get some. Nobody should be forced to come here. read more

This is the WORST ever Applebee's I ever visit. They put a "dummy" person at the door to sit you. I went to there they put me in a tiny table even the restaurant was empty, I wait like 12 mins and nobody comes to ask for nothing. People start coming and coming so now there are like 5 tables waiting for "busy" waiter (this was 3:00 pm not really lunch time). Finally 2 Waiters show up, they went to attend others while I was the first to come, so still waiting now for 21 mins and nobody comes to ask nothing. I wait up to 30 mins and I decide to leave, I told the "dummy" lady at the door what happened and she said "what, I didn't understand", I understood because she was dummy. So, then when you do a review like this, then the LAZY manager will answer "Sorry that you had this situation Sr. Next time will be different bla bla bla". Many good business would like to be open this ugly economic time but the ones that could open give a appalling service. This restaurant is classified as real BS category. Never ever. read more

Very poor service took forever. Had to ask for my credit card back, Terrible service thought would be faster to go then DoorDash.

Absolutely loved it. Stopped here while in town for work and was not disappointed. For the longest time I have avoided Applebee's because every expierance I've had, several to recall, have been less than disappointing. I have several buddies that swear by Applebee's and now I see that they must have all been talking about this one lol. Appetizer was out in less than 5 mins, accompanied by the adult drinks . Food shortly follow cooked to perfection. I am normally a really tough critic so either this beer is getting to me or the service was phenomenal. I'm betting on the latter. Atta boy! read more

Overall not a huge fan of Applebee's but this one is an exception. Very clean inside. Food is good and service is quick. Wish there a few more choices for sandwiches but that's a wish not a critique. Staff is very nice. I personally don't like the table check out, I find them annoying but I do see the plus to it not having your credit card out of your sight is a good thing just seems for me half the time I have an issue. As a business traveler I have to say i usually dont leave bad reviews but have to say this is probably the worst not applebees but worst restaurant in general. Started out good with bartender offering me a menu and a drink, downhill from there i waited 20+ minutes for them to take my food order as 3 yes three bartenders kept there back to me the whole time and watched as bartenders were literally reading drink recipes off their phones and obvuisly were traing a new bartender how to make drinks. I was a bartender in college and not claiming to be an expert but i know on a shaken drink it gets more than two baby shakes and if someone asks for a sample of a beer to see if they like it it doesn't go into a shot glass. after almost an hour to get my food (to go) came out cold and a medium burger was charred Have to say not going back read more

Almost failed to come to this location based on recent reviews... Saturday we went as a group of 8 family members. Service and food were outstanding for an Applebee's. EVERYONE in our party enjoyed their meal...half rack ribs, steak stir fry, chicken tenders, and others. Ribblets were not a good choice - tough. House salads, fries and onion rings were crisp and very very good. Sadly Pepsi products and I DESPISE kiosk at tables or I would have rated higher. Close to numerous hotels. read more

We asked the bus lady if she could track a lady down for us and she said yes. Still no one showed up. WE SAT THERE FOR 20 MINUTES WITHOUT ANYONE SAYING A SINGLE WORD TO US!!!
