The meat was incredibly dry--one side of sauce isn't nearly enough to make up for it. These were hands down the worst ribs I've ever had nearly 90% being pure fat--just pure inedible grease. I hadn't eaten at Brothers in a very long time, but we got a family meal pack and so I was a willing participant. I'll say it was better than I remember it, though nothing really stood out other than the burnt ends, which they actually still had in stock at 5:30 on a Sunday night! Not only that, they were very flavorful and not overcooked. The pork and brisket are both decent if a bit dry, but I do quite enjoy their original sauce, so that's how to solve that problem. The sides are pretty ordinary but get the job done. It's a pretty standard menu overall but they've been around for a very long time with many locations and a huge catering business, so they're obviously doing something right. read more

We order Brothers from time to time in our office and the food is always amazing. Ribs cooked perfectly and slide off the bone, mac and cheese that is super creamy and cheesy, cole slaw that has the perfect balance between sweet and savory, delicious pulled pork, etc. The food never disappoints and is a good value for how much food you get. I will say though that almost every time we order, something is missing from it. Sometimes a bag of chips, sometimes sides of BBQ sauce or a side of beans. It just always seems to be something. We called the first few times but it isn't worth driving back over there and back to work for a side of BBQ sauce or anything. So, other than that, they are great. Great service and quick. We ordered dinner and had it door dashed to the Children's Hospital in Denver. My meal was 2 meat dinner with ribs, links, slaw, beans. Beans were under cooked and hard, slaw was ok nothing special. The main attraction was the links and ribs. The links were burnt and hard. Ribs were good ribs can't complain about them. The pulled pork sandwich here is so delicious! My first time trying it and I'm very pleased. It was spicy and juicy. The bread is soft and toasted perfectly. Not a lot of seating inside. The food came out quickly. I didn't like their beans they tasted like chilli. This is just preference for me. I'm sure tons of people like them. This just isn't the side item for me. I've been a long time Brothers BBQ customer, frequenting the Washington location some time ago and the Leetsdale location over the past few years. Food quality has been decreasing, and Sunday night was the final straw. I got a 2 meat combo with brisket and pulled pork. Brothers wraps the meats in foil, and when I opened both, they were filled with what looked like meat mush. Brisket should be strips or pieces, and pulled pork should be distinguishable pieces. The brisket tasted reasonable despite the mushiness, but the pulled pork was just disgusting. It was all fat. The cornbread was tasteless. The only reason this isn't 1 star is that I called the manager. He was empathetic and refunded me a portion of what I paid. Updating review. Upon reflection, I'm changing to 1 star. The owner replied to ask for a manager. Well, after this awful meal, the owner originally offered to refund $5.99 of my $20+ payment. They still ended up charging me $9. Pulled pork sandwiches are amazing! Coleslaw is top notch! The baked beans are spectacular! The Carolina style bbq sauce is to die for! Yum Yum Yummm! Ordered take out after an evening at the lake and to our surprise every bit was delicious. Being from a BBQ state makes it hard for most to impress me BUT Brothers is a great spot ! Michael took our order, Elijah checked us out and we took home a yummy selection of meats home along with some delicious baked beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, and cheesy Mac. Michael even made sure we had a sample of each sauce for everyone in our party to enjoy. Only one downfall- I do wish collard greens was on the menu. Just finished a half-rack of ribs from the Washington store and holy mama were they ever perfect and delicious. Seriously the most tender and meaty pork ribs I've had. I get them without sauce on the grill but a side of the vinegar sauce. Sigh...full and satisfied! Delicious BBQ in east Denver. From huge beef ribs to pulled pork and even tofu Brothers offers a wide variety of options. They offer a full menu online for takeout orders. One item you have to ask for is the burnt ends as they only have a certain amount per day and once they're gone they're gone. Many sauces to choose from including regular, medium, hot, Carolina mustard and tangy vinegar. I'm all for a lot of sauces to complement the delicious meats. The only downside is a small parking lot shared with another business. Usually not a big issue. I will be going back to Brothers soon especially as they have multiple locations across Denver. I lived in Kansas City for a time and this is on par with some of KC's best barbecue establishments. As soon as you walk in the door, you can smell the smoker going. The meat has a good smoke flavor, but it is not overpowering to the point where all you can taste is the smoke. The owners worked hard to make good sauce combinations with the meat. The sauces they recommend (on the sign) are indeed the best ones to eat with your choice of entree. I had the tangy vinegar with my pork and the original with the brisket. Both were seasoned to perfection. I also tried a little of the hot--don't use too much! The beans (which were one of my sides) had little bits of the pulled pork in them--a nice addition. They also had a little kick to them--which made them all the better. Its obvious the staff puts care into each menu item. Looking forward to my next visit. read more

Anyhoo, these are what we order while we were there : * On The Bone Wings Hot * Beef Brisket Sandwich * Meat Special, of 1/2 lb of Beef Brisket that comes with 2 sides. For the 2 sides we opt for Mashed Potatoes and Potato Salad. BBQ Goodness, with a Capital D ~ DELISH, that's it. Hubs like it alot and same goes to me. The staff was so generous that instead of the 6 wings we order, he gave us extra wings and does not charge any extra cost for it. I like the flavor of the WINGS. Still trying to figure out the spices to which they put on those WINGS and those BEEF BRISKET. When people beef up a business... "You have to go to Brothers!"... you go and it's like meeting a distant cousin with no flare. Like they've been deflated their entire life and yet somehow people are swearing they are legit. Hiding behind sauces is not the way to go when it comes to bbq. It's not the way to claim your fame. If I have to choose 5 sauces as part of my order and actually NEED the sauce to get the flavor... BBQ community... WE.HAVE.A.PROBLEM! Brisket- borderline pot roast Chicken-dry and lacked smoky flavor Pulled pork- actually chopped and basically dry pork Ribs- I've had more flavor in a McRib Sausage- Average store bought sausage links Mac and Cheese- Generic Box Potato Salad- Store Bought Coleslaw-No sugar, salt... nothing appetizing There just simply wasn't any "brotherly love" put into the food. DO NOT ORDER THE BEEF RIBS! Beef ribs are a family favorite so we tend to try them anytime we see them on the menu. I should have been tipped off by the reasonably low price. What we received (take out order) was a stack of bones with the silverskin and bbq sauce, nothing else. No meat at all... not good. If we had been dining in I would have requested my money back.
