We tried to use Visa gift cards and they said they werent working even though they had more than enough on them to cover the tab. We went for lunch, had SHELLY as the waitress! She got us right! Was fast. And we enjoyed this meal! Filling!!!!! So so tasty!! Loaded chicken fajitas at 10.99 each ! Affordable to eat! Really good drinks, food very consistent and always good and good prices l. people have been very friendly and accommodating only had 1 bad time when I upset the greeter when she told us we had a 40 minute wait and they had many tables open I tried to get her to let us sit at the bar but the bar tender was helping plate meals ? I love this place, best steaks around and if you don't like it the manager will have it made to your liking. The only complaint I have is, the waitress peeped into my husbands wallet and made a comment, "I sure would like to have all that cash, followed by, where do you work? We left a rather large tip for this money hungry waitress who was pregnant at the time. We want to enjoy our meal and return home happily. I think it was very rude of her being that we are a family. The entire restaurant smells like an ashtray. They allow smoking at the bar however it permeates into the entire restaurant. Our server explained that she was almost off and wanted us to "eat and leave." Odd comment from someone who probably supports a $15.00/hour minimum wage. Our food came, drinks needed refills... our server was nowhere to be seen. Twenty minutes go by... Still no refills. We needed extra napkins too but it was obvious our server didn't care. The food is ok, but not worth the haze of cigarette smoke you have to sit in. Tried to get an order to go to avoid that, but you have to order at the bar, which is where everyone smokes. I tried to wait it out when a man came up and sat on the stool right next to me and lit up a cigarette. There wasn't another open stool that wasn't next to a smoker. I have been here 2 times so far and I had very good service both times. The first time we sat at the bar and had drinks and appetizers. The drinks prices there are very good and they tasted decent. The bartender during that visit was very good, he made my wife a lifesaver shooter which she enjoyed. The baked pretzel sticks are a must try My second visit, I sat in a booth with a couple coworkers and I had drinks and they had food. It was a very good experience. TL;DR - this place is a scam, unprofessional, and will rip you off! Don't touch with a 10-foot pole!! Negative stars, if it were an option. Placed my Grubhub order around 9pm, website said it'd take 35 min. Over an hour passes, nothing. Tried calling the restaurant, but they were already closed. I understand the possibility of a delay (bad weather) but I was barely a mile away (at the Hilton hotel)! Finally, got a call from the Grubhub dude who says he's pulling up, and to come to the front outside to his car window. Weird and a little worrisome, but whatever, I'm starving by then. He motions to the bag sitting on the passenger seat. When I peak in the bag, it's nowhere near what I ordered. The food he's supposed to be delivering is also mixed with his personal groceries (he was even like "don't take those, those are mine") I tell him I'm not taking the food because it's not what I ordered, and I want my money back. He shrugs and said that's what he was given - at which I apologize to him because I haven't eaten anything since 7am, driven 400 miles in ice storms and I'm about to lose my temper. No food. Still charged the full amount though. Called applebee's today and was put on the phone with a supervisor, who says I may not get my money back. Wait, not getting money back FOR THE FOOD I DIDN'T RECEIVE?! While I'm on hold, I can hear employees in the background singing and saying some kinda-unprofessional things loudly (dunno why you'd just put the person on hold - every modern phone has this feature). The supposed "supervisor" took my info to have HIS boss call me back. Which hasn't happened. All in all, a bizarre and ridiculous experience. Had lunch there today . Amarillo Texas :'( Not a good experience at all . I worked in Food service for 42 years . Worst experience ever !! Had a water and an unsweet tea and two salads . Took 20 minutes to get our salads and they were a bowl of lettuce and 2 "slivers" of boiled egg with a very small fried chicken strip and watered down dressing :'( That's all that was in it .Waitress never came back to check on us after we got our food . Went to the rest room ( ladies room) and my shoes stuck to the floor, the walls of the stall were filthy . And I had to wipe the toilet seat off before I could sit on it and it didn't look like the toilet bowl had been cleaned in days . We will be driving the extra few miles to Chili's from now on . This was the worst experience Ive ever had at applebees, it took over an hour to get our food and kept getting the same excuse that the kitchen was understaffed. When we finally got our food it was very undercooked on the inside and extremely burnt on the outside, I feel like im gonna be sick from the food. Walked into Applebee's on Soncy at 7:50pm. Took us 30 minutes to get a drink order placed, another 10 minutes passed before our food order was taken, by the manager. Food came to the table and was nothing short of fast food, over priced fadt food at that, and it was cold! Once our food was droped off at our table, we never saw her again! We were so disappointed with this Applebee's. Everything about our experience here was bad. We waited a good 15 minutes for anyone to even come and take our drink orderers. They were NOT busy. Just made the mistake of eating at this Applebees. Felt like we stepped back in time about 20 years as the stench of cigarettes wafted into our lungs. Normally I would never eat at an Applebee's because for the most part it's garbage fast food. But, we had been on the road for over 10 hours and there was nothing else open at 9:30 pm. We were greeted by a very sweet hostess. We were planning on dining in but the smoke smell was so strong! Yeah they allowed smoking INSIDE the restaurant!! So gross! It's 2020 how is that even legal?! So, we ordered to go. The hostess wasn't allowed to place orders for some reason so a very nice new server helped us. She didn't really seem to know how to work the computer, she apologized it was only her 3rd day. But, nobody was helping her. No other employee, no manager, nothin. She had to go get someone to help her. So she placed the order and told us it would be ready at 9:55. We said cool and grabbed some drinks from the bar while we waited and the bartender was very nice. We ended up waiting until about 10:20 for our order. This wouldn't really have been a problem but the restaurant wasn't really busy. And no manager seemed to be on the floor. Only 1 hostess, 1 server, 1 bartender. I saw a few people clock out and leave. I never saw the girl who placed our order again. It's like we were totally forgotten. Eventually a server noticed we were sitting there for a long time and asked the hostess, why are these people still sitting there. The hostess let them know, we were waiting for food. And the server walked away and said wow that's just unbelievable. So even she knew some was up. But again, nobody checked on our order. The hostess was literally just standing awkwardly behind the hostess desk, not doing anything. She could've checked, or asked someone to check, or get a manager. Eventually a different server came up and said are you "wrong name" I said no and told him my name. He went back, grabbed to order right away and brought it to us, all tied up and ready to go. So, having worked in restaurants my whole life, I'm pretty sure we were forgotten about. And, there must've been multiple to go orders just puked up and nobody grabbing them and getting them to the customers. This can be forgiven for the new server who might not know better, wherever she went. But ANYBODY could have gotten our order for us, the hostess, the manager, any server. But nobody did. Nobody was working as a team and I never saw a manager leading them. It's just really poor service. It's not that anyone we interacted with was rude. They were all very nice, but just sort of lazy and clueless. read more
