I then watched the clock and after 10 more minutes, I left after again being totally ignored. I will not go there again, which is a shame as I like Applebees. read more

Service is all over the place. Why? Bartender is the only one working. While 4 to 5 other people just watch her. Food SUCKS A$$ greasy cold fries with no flavor. Hamburger with NO flavor and missing the mushrooms on a FU[king MUSHROOM swish burger. And when I ordered it with lettuce, fresh onions, and tomatoes they had no fresh onions and no tomatoes. Just lettuce and cheese... WTF... the cooks suck! Not sure if the order was out in properly but food had NO flavor! Thank god for salt. Applebee's Grill + Bar - Proof of visit - Sports Bars Near Me - Amarillo, Texas

We arrived late around 10:30pm on July 4th, excited they were open. They said they'd be open till midnight. We first sat at the bar, but the speakers above the bar was playing music much too loud. We moved to a booth which was much nicer to our ears. Our server Matt was great and patient as we changed our minds several times on menu items while ordering. We settled on 2 for $25 deal with 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. Our appetizer came out quicky, we had mozzarella sticks. They come 8 to an order and they were crispy and the cheese had a great pull and chew. Yummy marinara sauce. I got the blackened salmon, comes with mashed potatoes and broccoli. It was surprisingly tasty. Hub got Mac and cheese topped with fried chicken strips. He like the mac and cheese for the first few bites, then said it was just mac with alfredo sauce and lost interest. He dipped the chicken strips heavily in ranch and said the strips were too sweet and just boring. There was plenty of food, so I had leftovers. read more

The atmosphere is comfortable and homey. The staff is personable and knowledgeable about the items offered. Gotta love the various food options and seasonal drink items. read more

The chicken strips were overcooked and almost cold. The service was very slow. Waiter was not very attentive.

Not sure if AC worked but it was hot. Food was sub par and service was just as bad. My oriental chicken salad was warm and not enough dressing. Overall very disappointing read more

We went for lunch. The server was pleasant but had a whole side of the restaurant by herself. The table was dirty. It took 50 min to get food which was ordered off the lunch menu. Food was very mediocre. The were SO many flies- we were constantly waving them away from our food- as were all the other customers. And these were biting flies. Yuk. Yuk. Yuk. read more

Terrible service host was rude he seemed annoyed just to even sit us black boy with afro. we finally got sat and they had us wait 30mins still no one came to even greet us they weren't even busy the waitress was ignoring us and cleaning tables. we talking to a bigger lady who claimed was manager and she was just terrible. shut this place down. read more

Driving through Louisiana headed to Colorado after 14 hours of driving to check into a hotel that recommended Applebee's for good food as we entered Applebee it took about six minutes to be asked if you gonna be seated at the bar we chose the bar as we seated ourselves we had to greet the bartender at that time she informed us is it gonna be a few minutes because she was busy in the kitchen after 15 minutes she came and took our drink orders when she returned with our order it told her we were ready to order our food husband ordered a double Hennessy with a Bud Light chaser I ordered the Bahamas mama drink kindly let her know we were ready to order. She told her in a dry town to wait a minute and she proceeded to take the gentleman's order who had just came to be seated. We waited over 15 minutes before she took our order after the gentleman told her that he was not ready to order she proceeded to pass, leave the bar and tend to a table behind us at this time. We realize that she did not want our service so here I sit at Twin Peaks with amazing service and lovely drinks waiting on my food Bartender address for attitude and be more friendly for her Customer Rude Rude Rude read more

Went to Applebees for lunch today about 1230. Not too busy. Ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp. Absolutely no flavor other than charbroiled chicken. No onion flavor, no mushroom flavor, no shrimp flavor, & no flavor to the mashed potatoes. Definitely no blackening spices or anything cajun related. My wife & daughter both got the cajun grilled salmon & same there not blackened, just charbroiled, garlic mashed potatoes with no flavor. No garlic, no parsley, no nothing. Only thing with flavor was broccoli & iced tea. Ambiance- table was sticky all over. Like top was stained with urethane & wiped down for years & just had a sticky residue. Tile floors were sticky & you could hear anyone wearing rubber soled shoes walking on the tile. Pretty disappointed in the $50 we spent on 3 subpar lunches! read more

We went last night and paid $85 for watered down drinks and cold food. The waitress was too busy visiting with people at another table about Grey's Anatomy. Used to like eating there. Won't be going back. They weren't busy so no excuses for the poor service and cold food. read more

We were sat down immediately. Multiple servers not doing their job. Wasn't checked on by anyone. No one asked about what we want to drink until 30 minutes later, no excuse either because it wasn't busy and the server was on her phone. Stayed there for a whole hour and food hasn't came in. When it did, it was cold. The ambiance was weird. It smelled bad, no smiles on anyone's face. Worst place in Amarillo for service. The food was pretty good though. It would have been better if it was still hot. read more

Ordered a curbside order yesterday. When my phone said order was ready i called the restaurant and they said they dont take out orders when its dark and wed have to go inside. We went inside and were told our order was not ready yet. So we waited and waited and about 30 minutes go by and i called and they leave me on hold for a few minutes. Finally the food come out , the kid spills drinks handing drinks to us and just says "oops". Food was COLD! No utensils or napkins or straws. Horrible service! read more

Ordered through Uber on July 20th. 3 orders salmon, chicken strips and lime chicken nachos. Order arrived and the nachos were horrible!! First no chicken, second chips tasted stale, third queso was cold and not very tasty. We have ordered from Applebee's many many times. But they have lost my business!! We will start ordering from other places. I sent message to Uber and was told the nachos were not refundable...REALLY!! I paid for chicken and received none! I spent over $70 and McDonald's would have been better! It is sad when you think a fast food establishment would have been a better option read more

So my wife and I are in town for a graduation and got in late and hungry. So I ordered from this restaurant via Uber and I ordered the fish and chips with a raspberry tea and my wife opted for the club sandwich with a tomato basil soup. The food was delivered promptly and nothing against the delivery service or driver but the food was bland and just not good. My fish was soft and soggy, the fries had no seasoning and I didn't receive my tea oh and my tortilla soup was salty. My wife's sandwich was ok but her soup was blah. The best part of the meal was the little donut holes as those were fluffy and delicious. Would not and will not order from this establishment ever again. read more

Been waiting for 40 minutes for food. It's a single plate chicken sandwich. It also took 10 minutes for someone to notice I needed to be seated. Not busy on Sunday at 10pm. This will be my last time at a Applebees. read more

Friendly service but unclean overall, to the point where you wonder if people are getting sick after eating here. Plates and silverware are just gross. Stopped in on a road trip and was really shocked by the lack of clean dishes & flatware. You could see by looking and feeling that they were unclean. Had to ask 3x for clean silverware & a manager helped and by the time we got clean silverware, the food was cold. As we were walking out, noticed the floor was gross as well (for example a used bandaid in the entryway, etc). People were nice but I can't imagine it's safe to eat here because when the front of house isn't clean you gotta wonder what's going on back in the kitchen... read more

Won't go back! Service was awful! We ordered a hamburger and chicken fingers and fries were stone cold. We let our waitress know that our fries were stone cold she brought us another batch of fries that were also stone cold. To our disbelief, she could've cared less never apologized didn't go back to get us hot fries, never asked us if we wanted a refill on our drinks, and how were things! She was totally ignorant of how to take care of good paying customers! Besides the place being dusty, tables dirty, windows never washed etc... In this economy I don't think Applebee's can afford to lose good paying customers or maybe they can! They don't seem to care! Go elsewhere for better service, food, and ambience. Don't eat there it's a total waste of your hard earned money. Not eating good in the neighborhood. read more

Went for a vodka and tonic. How does a bar run out of tonic? If you were the manager, wouldn't you run to the store and get some. Oh, and I got about 8 French fries with my cheeseburger. When pointed out to the waitress, she thought that was very light on the fries too. Nothing done. I am sure Applebees will soon go by the wayside of poorly run businesses. read more

Despite the covid crises, we did not have to wait long for a table. Our waitress was very friendly and so was the manager who co-weighted on us. The cook took pride in his serving his food. He didn't just throw it on a plate. He took time to make the dish look pretty. That's rare to me. It also tasted wonderful. Both my grandmother and I enjoyed our meals and time there. read more

I'm a very picky eater, (vegetarian, here) and worse, I'm pretty harsh when it comes to corporate restaurant chains. (Looking at you Golden Corral). I'm not a regular Applebees customer. (Not a single vegetarian entree option , though healthy and gluten free is available, if that's your kick) So I should have been royally screwed then how and why 5 stars freely given from this grouchy, vegetarian curmudgeon? Because, this waitstaff, bartender and kitchen is bringing their A game! The salad is perfectly proportioned, fresh and crisp. The veggies are so alive it's like they just got picked. The food LOOKS LIKE THE ADS ON THIER MENUS, YALL!!! I'm not a meat eater but the smells and plates of food coming out of that kitchen are having me question my dietary religion. My food was p.e.r.f.e.c.t I just felt like it was made by people who seriously give a damn and that $&@ing matters. Bravo unsung kitchen staff heroes. Bravo! Drinks are 100% accurate. Yes, have another cause you know some places can mess up a vodka tonic and this one was bliss. And the staff, are professional, chill and just cool as hell. This is old school quality customer service with a welcomed atmosphere. I don't know if this is a product of Amarillo, if everybody is just having their best night, or if it's Applebees elevating. Whatever it is ... take my money and my five stars. read more

Yuk. Double Yuk. Smoking allowed. Had a salad containing three shreds of lettuce, mounds of dry reheated possibly over breaded cold chicken. Asked for dressing on the side...instead it was drenched with extra on the side. Maybe because it was late but the crowd at bar seemed to be all on parole. Traveling cross country alone and this was only time I was uncomfortable. read more

I came here on a slow afternoon with my kids. I don't know if they're trying to save on their energy bill or what but it was extremely hot in the restaurant so much so that I asked for the air conditioner to be turned on, one of the waitresses had so much sweat on her neck that her hair was sticking to her,I feel bad for the people working there. The food was absolute garbage. I had to send my steak back because it only touch the grill on one side I need I'm not eating it anyway I think they may have forgotten to salt it. (I realized my mistake ordering a steak at Applebee's.) my waitress was really nice and a good waitress. I hope she gets a job at a place that isn't terrible soon. I wish I had taken a picture of my food but I tend only take a picture of my food if it looks nice, so I do not have one. read more

TERRIBLE!! Save your money and eat somewhere else. Came in after a long day of shopping with my family and place was filthy! They have signs on the restroom doors that say they sanitize every 30 minutes, complete bull. Those restrooms look like they haven't been cleaned in days! Whole place smells like smoke which isn't something I want to smell while trying to have a meal, especially with kids! Ordered some ribs and there barley any meat on the bones. We basically ordered bones. Will never go back to that place it was just AWFUL. Like I said... SAVE YOUR MONEY! read more

Walked in about 6pm, finally got seated at 7pm. But they didn't seat us with menus and we never saw our waitress. Ended up walking out after sitting and waiting on our waitress to come by after another 30 minutes. Complete waist of time. We won't be returning. read more

Drinks ordered weren't served, didn't bring napkins nor silverware, didn't refill even after seeing that the drink needed to be refilled, another server approached the table and asked if our server was doing ok, people had to go up to the bar to get their drink. We came in really late... it was 10:30pm... but the the staff was smiling and welcoming. Service was really slow, but that was because they had only one chef on duty serving the tables. It was obvious that the food was made in a rush- and brought out as quickly as it was made- but that just made for dry shrimp, watery tomato bisque and a tiny dry steak. Then again- we went in really late so I don't want to put all the blame on the kitchen staff. BTW- The bathrooms were nice and clean. read more
