The best service, ever! Food is great. Best steak I've had anywhere away from my own grill. People are awesome. Owners are great people!

I was beyond insulted by a waitress (Elaine) concerning a drink order. I asked for a drink for my companion and one for myself. She asked me several times if the drink was actually for me. She brought one, rather than 2 as if i didn't order one for myself. Because of her timing, I was not given the happy hour half price. More drinks were ordered and each time I was asked whether i was going to be the person consuming the drink!! I am in my 50s and my friend is 38, plenty old enough to drink, so the exchanges were unwarranted and insulting. I paid the total bill, therefore this treatment was beyond her right as a young server. We are regular customers and give generous gratuity. I have never experienced this level of disrespect by any other waitress. It'll be a long while before we return!! read more

Was recommended by locals. It was just alright for me. Here's why ... the outside does not scream "eat here". It's could use some curb appeal. Inside is a cool lil local hangout bar. There's table seating, one long high top, bar seating, and enclosed patio seating. We set at the high top It's basically bar food. The guacamole was super smooth like the packaged wholly guacamole not chunky like homemade smashed guac. So idk if they blended it or what. It was just alright, not the flavor i was looking for We ordered a pep pizza to share. Not sure I would order it again. But I've heard the club salad is good and the philly Drinks I recommend trying the "mexican cherry limeade" - may have to start making those at home. Think Sonic's fav drink + TEQUILA! read more

Can't say enough positive things about this place. It's clean and both the bar area and dining room are nicely appointed giving a great ambiance. The food was great! Had a salad and momma's chicken with a baked potato. Perfectly cooked and the ranch dressing was homemade (not bottle) and was spot on. We went two different nights and had different servers and both were friendly. Each time we were there a gentleman who I could only think is either the owner or manager came by and asked about the food and service. I'll eat here every time I'm in town. read more

We've stopped at 287 Roadhouse several times while traveling from Galveston, Texas to Arvada, Colorado, and it's become a place we look forward to visiting. The atmosphere is welcoming, the food is consistently great, and the prices are very reasonable. Service truly stands out--our server Andrea was friendly, personable, and attentive, always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. Derek, the manager, was also extremely pleasant and welcoming. This is one of those road trip stops that becomes a highlight. We'll definitely be back. read more

Okay so I drove like 13 hours today from Southern Missouri. I picked the hotel from my app and it led me here because 287 road houses right next door I ordered the ribeye medium rare with mashed potatoes and gravy along with macaroni and cheese. I was delighted to find I also got a couple of warm yeasty rolls It was quite tasty. The edges of the ribeye had of course delicious fat but also some seasoning It seemed like the seasoning was just on the edges in the mashed potatoes were real I think in the gravy was fine nothing mouth watering you make me drool over but it was gravy it was good and the mac and cheese admittedly a item that could disappoint or could be a delight this was I think I had maybe two or three bites of really creamy macaroni and cheese and the rest was just kind of dry it would have been fabulous if it was all coded in the yummy sauce I got in a few bites overall after a long day of driving this was quick easy and fairly tasty read more

Nope. Do not recommend. The atmosphere is absolutely ridiculously loud and rowdy, disruptive people laughing hysterically loudly and no one that works there cares. It was very disruptive and I could not even enjoy my meal. I tried eating there once again after I had received a gift certificate from my employer. A few hours after going home, I began getting violently ill with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. One other experience that I had there in the past, and I've had friends comment on it as well, if you get a to go order, they automatically charge you extra on your ticket. So be aware, don't leave a tip because they're already adding it without your consent. I can't stand this place. The owners are rude, The food is less than mediocre, and if you want a good meal go elsewhere. There was a lot of hype about this place because people like to go and drink and have appetizers. It's a meeting when there are class reunions in town, during the month of June. People have started getting wise to their business practices and now go to other Places in town, places that are their competitors. I do not spend one more penny in this place after so many bad experiences that I have had. I am done. Absolutely do not recommend. read more

I can not love this place enough. What a gem in the panhandle. Servers are as sweet as they come,make you feel right at home. And home is what it is all about. The food is yuuuuummmy. We have had the pork chops twice now, and hard to to not fall back on those, they are moist on the inside and just so crispy on the outside. Gravy is delish, you get a choice of gravy which is nice. I've seldom been so disappointed in a restaurant that had so many things going for it. Service was excellent, food came promptly, and flavors were generally good. Margherita was refreshing. But the not so good. Although the Poblano Soup tasted great, it was the consistency of water and I suspect it didn't start the day like that. The Mac n' Cheese had good flavor but very dry. And the Chopped Steak would have been good if it hadn't been burnt to a crisp on both sides. Place has potential if they fix a few things. read more

Restaurant is clean and plenty of parking. But was way overpriced. I ordered a chop steak, I ordered it medium, came out tough as an old boot, and tasted like it also. Salad was good, that was about it. Had drinks, my old fashioned was awful, the wife's bloody Mary was good she said. Manager asked how food was but wouldn't take any comments about it. Stopped in on our Way through, the Reviews looked great! We were not disappointed! Inside was Clean kinda decorated as it should be to the Roadhouse theme! I had the Filet very Tender, house made Chips were spot on! We also had the Cheese Curds and Chicken Fried steak! Waitress was very attentive and the Manager came by to make sure everything to our liking! I probably won't be back just because it is 1,700 miles from my House, but glad we stopped!!!! I love small town steak houses, where everyone seems to know everyone and spends time greeting each other before getting down to the business of eating. We were going to order an appetizer, but our friends who are local said the portions are pretty big. So we went straight to the entrees. I liked the many options for sides and willingness to cook things to your preference. I had the ribeye with veggies and a cup of corn chowder. The soup was amazing! I should have just gotten a big bowl. The steak and veggies were okay. The Hubbs ordered the chicken fried steak and it was huge. Very good. We took a lot home. Excellent service. read more

Great experience from as soon as I entered, the hostess seated me quickly and the waitress came right away and got my drink order. Despite the rumors about how they treat staff, sometimes customers, and other run-ins I've had at this establishment, myself and my family continue to go due to the good food and because variety in a small town. However, last night, we placed a to-go order for 4 people. When I arrived to pick it up, I was signing my credit card receipt and when I went to go leave a tip I noticed they had already added it....$12 GRATUITY CHARGE!!!! It wasn't a large party order first of all but second of all, it was a to-go order!!! Why is there gratuity for that?!!?! Working in the restaurant industry for 10 years, I always tip on to-go orders. But to add gratuity and $12 at that?!?!. It's absurd. After this, I don't know if I'll ever go back based on this underhanded tactic. read more
