Something was clearly wrong in the kitchen. They were not overwhelmed with customers and it took over an hour to get our appetizer which was cold when it arrived. I ordered the egg roll bowl. The ground beef in it was raw. I sent it back. I only gave it two stars because I liked the atmosphere. When the manager came around and asked the table next to us about their experience, they responded that they had been waiting for their food for quite awhile. He responded "glad to hear it!" Bar 3 isn't a restaurant. It's a test of your patience, willpower, and ability to tolerate apathy. All I wanted was a simple to-go order. I started by calling the pro shop, where someone was shockingly helpful--credit where it's due. But then I got tossed over to the restaurant side, and that's where the wheels came off and burst into flames. I spoke with someone named Caitlin who acted like my request for a current menu was some kind of outrageous demand. I didn't ask for a PDF brochure or a custom tasting--just a picture of what's being served. Something they could've handled in the time it took her to sigh into the phone. She refused. Flat-out refused. Instead, she told me to "just tell her what I wanted" without giving me a single clue what was even on the menu. That's not service--that's psychic roulette. When I suggested that, maybe, just maybe, they should update their website or send me something current, she passed the buck again and told me to "look on Facebook." So I did. I scrolled and scrolled, past every concert flyer, drink promo, and blurry selfie taken on a cracked iPhone--and guess what? No menu. No help. No effort. Bar 3 could be serving the best food in Texas and I still wouldn't give them a dollar, because they make it painfully clear that your business means nothing to them. I gave them every opportunity to help me give them money, and they fumbled it at every turn. If this place were a golf shot, it'd be a shank into a water hazard followed by a broken club. Hard pass. Steak night on Thursday, the steak is amazing I wish the service matched. They always have reserved tables for friends of the club I guess but you're not allowed to make a reservation instead the tables sit empty while the staff ignores you as you stand by the door waiting to find a seat. We were pleasantly surprised with Bar3. We were staying at a hotel surrounded by fast food restaurants. Looked on the map for a local restaurant/bar and found Bar3, only 1.5 miles from the hotel. It's part of a par 3 golf course however the atmosphere, food and service are way beyond. They have a good variety of tap beers, and other beverages. The margarita was perfectly tart and boozy. The ahi tuna nachos were plentiful with light, crispy chips, tasty ahi and balanced spicy, sweet sauce. We highly recommend Bar3 and we will stay in this area again to enjoy it, maybe even a little golf too. read more

Bar 3 at Preston West: Where customer service goes to die. My experience started with a friendly person in the pro shop--shoutout to them for being the only competent human in the building. From there, it nose-dived faster than their drink specials on a Thursday. I asked for an item. "We don't have that anymore." Fine. I politely requested an updated menu so I could, you know, actually place an order like a normal customer. Instead, I got passed off to Caitlin, who sounded like she had been personally inconvenienced by my existence. I asked again--text me a menu. That's it. Two clicks. She refused. No menu. No list. No effort. Just vibes and attitude. She wanted me to guess what they serve. Guess. As if I'm supposed to divine the current offerings using tarot cards or the position of the sun. I suggested updating their website. Her solution? "Check Facebook." So I did. I scrolled through three months of digital dumpster fire--flyers, selfies, and beer promos--only to confirm what I already suspected: this place couldn't be bothered to provide the most basic information about their own damn food. This wasn't just lazy. It was willfully negligent. You run a restaurant, and you can't even show customers what you're serving? That's not a business. That's a guessing game with fries. I wouldn't recommend Bar 3 to my worst enemy, let alone a friend. I wouldn't send a stray dog here. I wouldn't even stop for water if I was on fire. There are dive bars with better organization. The hairless manager had a huge problem with me asking for a chair from a 6 top table. I was berated, lied to and finally asked to leave after my inquiry about the stick in his rear once civil conversation attempts failed. Contrary to reviews by Kevin b , Cody b , and Parker e we found it to be a great experience . It's a very busy place so you have to time your visit well but good friendly service , very good food . We have many friends who frequent Bar3 frequently and they love it . Expect a bar atmosphere , kind of loud. It's located on a 3 par golf course so also expect golf course parking !! And if you want to see the menu to order takeout , go to the website !!!!! The servers shouldn't have to take their time to personally text you the menu . I really like Bar 3 when it's not overcrowded. The servers take care of everyone so it's pretty easy to get a drink when you need one. The food is very good as well. The only complaint I have about Bar 3 are the biting flies inside on a hot day (maybe look into some fly extermination). I also wish there was a way they owners could expand this restaurant. The only disappointment was we were not able to play the par 3 course where Bar 3 is located. Love the concept. We started with homemade pork skins...they were great. Entrees were Buffalo wings and a Philly cheesesteak. Both were very good. Highlight of the meal may have been the fresh cut French fries...we actually ordered an additional basket for dessert. Couldn't get drink refills and a large table walked in after us who got all of their food and drinks before we could even order refills on drinks or order food. We asked multiple times to be helped and tried to order. Was very disappointed because we were looking forward to trying this place for the first time. I worked a summer here on the golf course, I have some complaints though lol. The kitchen staff is probably the laziest in Texas, the owner makes the groundskeepers take the garbage from the bar not one employee in the restaurant knows how to tie or put the garbage in a orderly manner to be taken out, not only that I have ruined several tee shirts and pants taking out the stupid fucking cooking oil damn near 3 times a week, the owner isn't a bad guy whatsoever and the gm is super nice and ambitious, if they had goals for this bar maybe expanding making more room for pool tables, darts, shuffleboards, etc. or whatever they wanted it would be a great spot for my age group I'm in my 20s. This bar is on south coulter making it a great spot for college kids (coming from canyon WTAMU) if it was advertised correctly hell I would promote it. While my time working during the summer I would go and play with friends and eat after, don't go while busy, the servers get overwhelmed but hey everyone's human! Last thing is the exposed kitchen when you walk into the pro shop to purchase range balls or a green fee, you can see everyone, I chuckle every time I see this kitchen it's about the size of a cab of a Kia Soul, profit is the key for this place, dump some money into the course bar and patio areas, you have a kickass location for any night of the week, I could go on and on about the small problems of the bar, the owner is a sharp mind, he has had to think about where he can get more profit!
