Hector is the MAN dude. I DREAD the apple store- it's always a whole day ordeal and so mentally taxing. He saw my distress, disarmed me (which is not his job, he just goes above and beyond)- and answered all of my questions in a calm friendly manner. I came in frazzled and left with a big smile on my face, and several hours of sunlight more than I thought I'd be leaving with. Shoutout to both Chris' in this store as both have been super cool, helpful and real with me about every last concern I had. The people at this location are chill and happy - I'm not about the negative reviews at this place- these guys saved me a fortune by having me call apple care to get something covered that wasn't going to be covered the last time I came here. 10/10 would come again. I'm surprised by the low ratings. Multiple employees at this location have provided consistent excellent customer service and deserve to be recognized. TLDR version first: Andrew, Dennis, and the young gentleman showcasing tips and demos provide excellent service and make this location's environment very welcoming. Andrew, over the course of three visits to this store walked me through all the details of the Apple Watch series 11, and even showed me how it paired with the Health app on iPhones. He patiently showed me multiple bands as well on a subsequent visit, after I had purchased my watch, and let met try them on to see which worked best to dress up my watch for nice occasions. Andrew, thank you for your friendly, professional, and knowledgeable service! Today I stopped by this location again to find out the differences between the iPhone 17 and 17e. Dennis helped me this time, and I realized pretty quickly that the 17e is not for me. He showed me the features on both the 17 and the 17 Pro (that zoom feature on the Pro camera is insane!), and walked through the pricing details including how much it would be through the Apple Store vs my cell service provider. I was incredibly impressed with his service, and he maintained his friendly and professional demeanor as the fussy toddler with me winged a piece of string cheese across the store. He also set me up with someone who cleaned the lint out of my speakers and charging port, which was much appreciated! Thank you Dennis! I will be back in within a week to buy my new phone. Finally, the young gentleman with an earring who was demonstrating tips on a large screen was so engaging and professional. While I was waiting for my phone port to be cleaned, I asked him a couple additional questions about the camera on the 17 Pro, and he did a whole demo for the store on its various features. I am sorry I did not get his name, but his demo has encouraged me to select the Pro. All and all, I am very happy with the service I receive at this location, and will continue to shop here for all things Apple (except for their phone cases, which are ridiculously priced!). read more

Instead of listening or trying to assist, he was dismissive and at one point walked away while I was still speaking. It was my experience at the Apple Store at The Grove that inspired me to write this review. This has been my "Home Apple Store". I've bought all but one of my computers and Apple gear here. And while Glendale Galleria is usually got a good amount of foot traffic, and this Apple Store is usually got a brisk business going, my overall experience here has been positive. Now, like any store in a mall, especially a high traffic one like Glendale Galleria, I prefer to visit it during the week. A luxury not all people have. But normally when I'm able to visit I've been allowed to browse and gotten service when I needed it. Additionally my experience with the Genius Bar at this store has been overwhelmingly positive. The rare cracked screen or wonky button has usually been taken care of in a day, if not the same day. This Apple Store has had a good team in Store from the first time I visited 15 years ago. I don't normally give chains 5 stars, and I'm not going to give this store one either. If there's any drawback it's that it's right in the middle of the mall, so you have to slog through a lot to get there. The experience went downhill immediately because of the greeter at the entrance. Instead of being welcoming or helpful, he had a clear attitude--short, dismissive, and visibly irritated for no reason. No greeting, no professionalism, just rude energy from the moment I walked in. A greeter sets the tone for the entire business, and this one did the opposite. It felt like I was bothering him just by being there. Giving them two stars instead of one, because every employee I interacted with was SO KIND as they stole $3000 from me. I went to this store on Sunday morning to (hopefully) quickly pick up a custom iMac I had ordered online. I was hoping to be in and out very quickly because I had a lot to do. I was helped immediately when I arrived by a very kind employee. He brought up a promotion they were having that weekend where they were giving people $150 gift cards with purchase. Unfortunately, I had purchased my computer online two weeks ago, so my purchase wasn't eligible, but this nice young man was kind enough to try to get it for me. If I had a time machine now, I would go back and say, "NO THANK YOU!" But I don't have a Time Machine, so instead I'm stuck writing this yelp review. The nice apple employee consulted with a manager who said, "Sure!" So the plan was to "return" the custom computer and then immediately repurchase it with the promotion. They warned me that I would have to be cool with 2x the price of the computer being unavailable from my account for a little bit and I said that wasn't a huge deal. So they issued the return and then proceeded to try to charge the new computer. The first charge attempt went through but the $59.99 AppleCare was rejected. So they had me tap my card again. Meanwhile, I'm just watching my balance drop by $3000 every time I tap my card, and this nice apple employee assured me that none of these would stick because none of the purchases were finalized. Anyway, I told them I had the money to be down the cost of two computers, not the cost of four, which is what had happened by the time I left the store 90 MINUTES LATER (they were still not able to get a $59.99 AppleCare charge to go through). All of these charges were "Pending" and when I left the, nice young man reassured me that none of them would be posted. Yesterday I woke up to see that there was a pending "reversal" on one of the charges and the "return" on the original online purchase was being processed. But that still left one outstanding EXTRA iMac. This morning I woke up and the reversal went through, but the remaining charges were finalized. So I dragged my ass BACK to the the Glendale Galleria to hunt down my friendly Apple Store Guy. He wasn't there, but I met another, equally friendly guy, who went to the back and printed out the receipts of my interaction and claimed that I had indeed only been charged once and that I had no need to worry because there was absolutely no way my bank would be charging me for it twice. So I left the store and called my bank and they said, "nope, those purchases are finalized." So now I'm having to dispute a $3000 charge. Do I think this was intentional? Absolutely not. But I spent 2 hours of my life (90 minutes Sunday and another half hour today) trying to deal with this. I wish I had just picked up my computer and not engaged. read more

I've never written a review like this, but what happened at this Apple Store, specifically with the Genius Bar, was shocking, humiliating, and caused me weeks of unnecessary stress. I brought in my new iPhone 16 Pro for a simple USB-C issue. Based on their recommendation, the store replaced the entire logic board. Within days, the exact same issue returned. When I went back to the store for a second repair (exactly a week after the first), instead of acknowledging the possibility of a botched repair, the Lead Genius told me, without hesitation and without showing me any verifiable evidence, that my phone had been "tampered with" and that my warranty was void. The store refused to repair my phone, despite the fact that they were the only ones who had ever opened or serviced it. The Lead Genius stated my only option was to pay $750 for a new phone. He wouldn't even make eye contact with me. He didn't show me a single photo. He didn't run diagnostics in front of me. He simply handed me a verdict and acted like the discussion was over. My phone was brand new and within warranty. I have never opened, modified, or taken the device anywhere else except this Apple Store only a few days before. Yet this is exactly what I was accused of doing. I was stunned and embarrassed. I'm a responsible, rational adult who knows better than to open a device under warranty, so being accused of doing something I never would have done was incredibly humiliating. I actually left the store in tears because I was being accused of something I did not do and had no way to "prove" otherwise. But here's the truth: when I escalated the case through Apple Support, multiple Senior Advisors confirmed that the store never uploaded any photo evidence at all, even though Apple requires it for any tampering determination. They also found that the store did not document standard post-repair testing the day of the initial repair. In other words, my phone was never properly evaluated, and the accusation had no documented basis whatsoever, besides the own repair technician's notes. Not only that, but the camera also started to fail and show as an "unknown part:" a clear indicator that it was incorrectly reinstalled by the store when they did the logic board replacement. At this point, it became clear that this Apple Store either mishandled the repair or failed to follow basic procedures, and instead of investigating their own work, they defaulted to blaming the customer. Wrongly voiding someone's warranty is not a trivial decision; being told I might owe $750 because of an accusation with zero evidence was incredibly stressful. In this economy, placing that kind of burden on a working professional over a mistake they caused, all while being part of a multi-billion dollar corporation, is completely unacceptable. FINALLY, when Apple Support's depot received my phone (I mailed it into them), they confirmed what I already knew: There was NO tampering. My repair was completed with no charges and no flags on my account. Apple Support was slightly difficult to navigate and took weeks of constant communication, but eventually they did do the right thing and resolved the issue. The Support advisors were also a lot more understanding and kinder than the Genius staff, particularly the Lead Genius, at this store. The Glendale Galleria Apple Store mishandled my device, failed to follow Apple's repair procedures, and then tried to blame me for their mistake. The lack of accountability, and the way I was treated, was unacceptable. Their negligence and accusation caused me weeks of stress and constant back-and-forth communication with Apple Support until I could resolve the issue myself and get a replacement phone. In terms of value, even a free repair isn't "free" when the store's mistake costs you weeks of stress, multiple support calls, lost time from work, and the risk of being charged $750 for something you didn't do. The experience with the Glendale Galleria Apple Store was absolutely NOT worth it. If you want your repairs handled professionally, or if you value basic respect as a customer, avoid this location at all costs. I will never set foot in this store ever again, and I HIGHLY recommend you do not either. read more

I came into the store for one reason and I got the biggest help ever from Jake the kindest sweetest most patient young man that helped me with a problem that I've had literally for three months. I've talked to everybody in T-Mobile and Apple support and he saw right away. What the problem was he literally has saved my life because pictures had disappeared on my phone that were life or death type pictures that were not in my iCloud or anywhere I want to thank Jake so much for being kind for being patient for his big smile his professionalism and his knowledge he definitely needs an accommodation. I stopped by this Apple store inside the Glendale Galleria mall to look at the Macbook Pro M4. I might be looking to get a new laptop so I was interested to see if there any big difference from the M2 in person. While I was inside the store, I also walked around just to look at their products. A worker greeted me and asked if I needed any help but I told him I was just browsing. I saw that they have a class to teach older people on how to use some Apple products too. The store is big and everything they had out was properly place for you to enjoy it. For the value of apple products I will say they hold up to it. Not sure why these bad reviews but my experience was solid. I parked at parking lot A and cut through food court then proceeded to an escalator to the second floor. I was there to pick up my new phone. I was debating if I was going to buy a new one or keep the old one, I decided to order it. I didn't want to get it shipped and the silver pro Max with 1TB was not available in Pasadena so I decided to get it from Galleria. Everything was pretty good from check in to pick up. Sergio was very courteous and pleasant. Though my appointment was not until 11:45 a.m., he checked me in right away. He scanned my QR code and answered my question regarding a screen protector. Because when I bought my phone in Pasadena they put on the complimentary screen protector but not here he said. Overall excellent service. He was very cordial. Two thumbs up. read more

I came into this store and was lead to purchase a $44 screen protector that has been the worse screen protector I've ever purchased in my life. This was also the most expensive screen protector I've ever bought. I was informed that I could come in at anytime and have it replaced. After hearing that I assumed it would be cheap but I had no idea how cheap. After two weeks the screen protector began to deteriorate around the edges. I came into today for a new one and a staff member told me I had to go through Belkin and they could not help me get a new one today. When gas is high and I have other things to do this was a huge waste of time and money. The manager Rachel did nothing to actually help me. I grew up in Los Angeles and this is the worst Apple Store in LA hands down. Why would Apple carry and distribute products that are so cheap ? This Glendale Galleria store was happy to make my reservation and help me with my 16" MacBook pro. Although they tried & failed to fix my problem, they were happy to service it under my Apple Care. We came here on Black Friday expecting the worst but they were ready for us. Just a short wait and we were set up with Joordee who helped us upgrade our old phones. Joordee really knows what she's doing. She's professional, direct, charming and funny - a real pleasure to work with. There are a lot of options and discounts available when trading in and she held our hand, walked us through and really saved us some money. As expected, the entire transaction took about two hours which is totally normal considering the data transfer, all the account numbers, logins and 2FAs you have to remember. I got my bill at 7:24 for the phone and helped put the screen cover and did a great job. I had a stressful day trying to buy a phone from my provider, luckily my order was canceled on their end. Service by Pauline and Los was excellent. We arrived and were asked by someone other than them asking for our QR code and ID to pick up our new phone. Then we met Los who again asked for QR code and in 5 minutes he had our phone. He was Bilingual in English and Spanish which was helpful for my parents to be able to ask technical questions and have them answered directly. He was very respectful, speaking to my parents directly in Spanish as requested. He had strong culturally awareness skills, was patient, made them feel welcomed and made good accessory recommendations to support my mom's iPhone experience. Pauline supported Los as we tried to do a buyback for the old phone before closing hours. Pauline was friendly and effective in getting the new phone and old phone to interact in order to do buyback. Pauline and Los both stayed with us until the purchase was complete even though they were already off minutes before. DO NOT BUY THE MOPHIE CHARGING CABLE!! I needed a new charging cable, and since the Apple cables in the longer size were out of stock, the employee recommended the MOPHIE brand cable. I asked him specifically if these cables will affect the iPhone in anyway. He said no, it should be the same as the Apple cables. 5 months later, my charging port connector on my iphone has loosened, and the cable just falls out when I put it in. A super strange experience attempting to buy an iPhone 16, I was having an excellent conversation with a nice sales lady with yellow things on top of her head and she was super cool and we were comparing the iPhone 16 standard with a new iPhone 16 E I guess what it's called And then when I was about to pull the trigger to buy the new iPhone we get this weirdo manager, dude who interrupts the sales process - he tells me " is there anything that I can help you with?" The story starts with a warranty claim on a case I bought 3-4 months ago. I went in and got an appointment to see a Genius. They told me it would be a 15-minute wait, but I ended up waiting over an hour because they said they were short-staffed that day. When it was finally my turn, I spoke with someone named MATT (wish I knew his last name). Right off the bat, he had an attitude and told me they couldn't do the warranty swap for my iPhone case. He was super unprofessional and honestly came across as racist. After that, I called Apple, sent them pictures of the damage, and they approved my warranty claim right away. I got the replacement case the next day without any hassle. I ended up emailing corporate to let them know how Matt treated me. Hopefully, they do something about it because no one deserves to be treated like that. read more

Took our iPhone charger in after purchasing 2 weeks ago to swap it out & I understand we didn't have the receipt and they couldn't swap it out , but real story behind the one star review was the manager Rachel, who had such a horrible attitude thinking we didn't know anything on how to charge our phones/iPad etc.. she just kept repeating the same thing over and over again thinking me and my mom didn't know anything, showing me what the lines meant on the chargers and the way it goes into my phone pointing out the dirt inside. It doesn't take rocket science to provide acknowledgement to let someone know that it will take some time. For calling themselves "geniuses", they have zero social awareness. Came here on Dec 2, and got a new iPad. My experience was good and as you'd hope, no issues whatsoever. But then, I came back and it was bad. Terrible experience. Enough so I'm removing you from any future shopping experience with Apple. I came in on Dec 23 to turn in my iPhone for a new one and the employee sent to me gave me such an attitude. First I can tell he's already annoyed that he has to do anything. I'm not expecting perfect A++ 100% customer service, just be nice and normal, but he has an attitude right off the bat, looks disinterested, looks like he would rather be anywhere but at work. I show him my phone, he tells me my phone is worthless (which I find out later it isn't) due to a cracked back. I imagined this could be possible before I arrived, but he continues with the snide attitude. So he's instantly hostile toward me about it and says "there's nothing I'm gonna do about it." I'm like okay can I turn it in for a new one anyway even if the credit value is $0? He starts mumbling and looking around like this 2 minute interaction is already taking his precious time up. I say outloud how it's funny that Apple won't take slightly damaged product from a consumer for any credit, but they will fix it themselves and resell my phone for near full price. He took it personally; even though I clarified I'm not blaming him because he is not the corporation, it's not about him at all. He still was mad "what do you want me to do about it??" Nothing BRO. I want you to take this $0 phone and bring me a new $1200 one is what I wanted. But because you pissed me off, I'm not gonna do it now. I told him to get me someone else to help me because I'm not gonna take this BS any longer. He gets me the manager who happened to be nearby. She did her best to rectify his extreme wrong in talking to me the way he did, and I appreciate her valiant effort, but I don't care. Stopped by to ask about the Apple Watch. The team member I spoke to was very knowledgeable about the watch. He answered all of my questions. The wait time to be helped wasn't bad considering how busy the store was. The only thing -he said the $50 gift card applied to the 7 series for the Black Friday weekend but it turned out to only be for the 3 and SE. I would have bought it in store if I knew it didn't apply to the 7. But no biggie I wasn't in a hurry to buy it. Parking was easy and free in the structure. I parked near Target as I was there first. Never stepping foot in this store again. This location literally gave my computer to the wrong person and then proceeds to gaslight me that they didn't make a mistake. Excuse me, but the managers here are all incredibly rude and just covering up for their subordinate's mistakes. I simply want a refund so that I can repurchase the computer that they gave away to the wrong person because they did not check their ID, but they won't issue a refund. Super Overdue Review- This location is awful and will never step foot here again. I spent about 6 hours at the store at the Genius Bar and left completely dissatisfied. Genius Bar employees don't know what they are doing and wasted my time with unnecessary steps. They wasted my time making sure my phone is in fact broken. Excuse me? It's malfunctioning so provide me with solutions. They provided none. I left because they said "there's nothing we can do." It took them 6 hours to say "yea, I'm not sure what the problem is." Employee felt really bad for me so they said they will offer me a gratuity of a discount or a free phone case for being so patient with them and cooperative. My phone problem was not fixed and I left with all my data gone because they told me it is a step I needed to do. I was so upset I was about to cry. I asked about the discount then the employee retracts their offer they offered from their own free will and says "I wish I could." What the heck? Why even speak up about having the power to give a discount when you know that you can't fulfill it? I then had a frustrating conversation with the manager. I forget his name because it's been a while. He had a tall lanky stature with long Steve Aoki hair past his hips. Sassy attitude guy with a stick up his butt. I had to leave the store before I caused a bigger scene than I already did because I was so frustrated and was yelling because I was fed up with the experience. I just remember he basically told me there's no guarantee of my phone getting fixed and I should be appreciative that Apple offers free Genius Bar service and employees are there to try to help. He was debating with me with a sassy attitude saying no other company offers Genius Bar support. Dude? Did I say I was not appreciative for the Genius Bar? He went on saying they provide free weekly education classes. I did not ask about the free education classes they offer. Nor did I say I was unappreciative of the free service. Their Genius Bar employees are incompetent because it should not take 6 hours to confirm to me what I already knew that the phone was defected! I had to write this review because this experience left a horrible taste in my mouth and want to warn others about this location. I actually ended up going to the Apple Pasadena location and they were able to solve my phone issue and help me reverse the nonsense the Glendale Apple people did on my phone. GUESS WHAT? I left the store within 45 minutes- 1 hour with my problem solved and restored my faith with Apple products in general. The customer service and EFFICIENCY at the Pasadena location was night and day...seriously. I should have left the Glendale Apple Store location WAY sooner but they repeatedly kept reassuring me they are going to figure it out so I really had my patience tested but they really did me wrong and I'm sure I will never go back until I see they have made improvements such as getting rid of that vile manager and filtering out the Genius Bar employees who aren't confident with what they are doing and just know how to talk with no accountability, no efficiency, no remorse.
