I only give it 4 stars because of how many people are in the Apple Store compared to the amount of workers they have. But we all know they can not control the amount of people that Coke into the store. Other that at and the wait time apple has always had wonderful customer services I just bought a 15 inch Mac book pro a week ago. Freak accident my big kicked my computer screen and it got a 1 inch creak down the screen. I freaked it thug how I just paid 2,500!! For a new computer and the thought for spending $750 to get it fixed was just crazy. So I took my computer to the Apple Store thinking all my saved were going to be gone after leaving that day however, the my surprise they apple techs were very understanding of what happened and the manger fixed my computer for free. I got my computer back fixed everything was and is still in place the fixed it within 2 days of the drop off I am very pleased and thankful. Amazing Customer Service. Honestly, these people are probably all Stanford graduates, but they don't make me feel dumb for just dropping my phone. They are always helpful, and are super friendly. The customers sometimes love to freaking hang around, even though it is pretty clear they aren't gonna buy anything. The Apple employees somehow manage to keep it together and not go off on these annoying patrons. I came to this store to get my battery replaced since I was experiencing the classic Apple battery symptoms of the iPhone slowing down and the battery draining. Everything that one can read in the news and the big Apple apology letter to its customerS. The $29 battery replacement. The store determines that my battery was due for replacement, checked the phone in and gave me a 5 hour wait time. I came back in 5 hours and I was told that the battery was not replaced and will not be replaced because the water damage sensors were triggered. My phone has never been wet and it was and still is a perfectly working phone except for the battery issue. However they tried to sell me a new iPhone for $350+. I took my phone to an authorized service provider and got my battery replaced. They confirmed that there was no water damage to the phone as I expected. Regretfully some things went wrong with the expectations regarding the repair timeliness and the manager after seeing the different things that went wrong took care of me way above and beyond. Great Service at the Apple Store. Everything is very clean and organized. Right when you walk in there is always someone waiting to help you with what you are looking for. All of the products are in working and on so you can mess around with them. They also have a very helpful Genious Bar which can figure out hardware/software problems. The guys that helped us really made up for the lack of customers service, so I'll give them that. Had it not been the ridiculous wait time, then five stars what have been a must. Furthermore, I was given the run around by customer service they tried every trick in the book to deny me the benefits ascribed in my applecare contract. Hats off to this Apple Store. About two weeks ago I noticed my sons iPhone 6 Plus was bent. It was never dropped and still looked brand new other than the bend of course. I researched online and found this was a common issue with some 6 Pluses. Anyway I made an appointment with the Apple Store App for this location. On the day of my appointment the App reminded me it was time to go and even provided directions via Apple Maps if I needed them. Upon arrival I was able to check in with my phone. Within 5 minutes of my appointment time a employees walked up to me and called me by name. That was a little freaky but I found out later they use Bluetooth to find you if you check in with the Apple Store App. The store employee looked at the phone and said "give me 10 minutes". 10 minutes later he was back with a new iPhone at no cost to me. This is my experience with the Apple store at Southpoint mall. My girlfriend setup an appointment to have her broken iPhone 5S screen fixed. We met the employee Kelly who was in charge of the repair and she was very kind and friendly. Kelly connected the iPhone 5S to her computer and ran a diagnostic test and also checked the warranty of the device. Kelly explained that we are covered under the warranty as the phone was less than a year old and that we can come back to pick up the phone in an hour. I said great and me and my girlfriend went and walked around the mall for an hour. We came back and asked Kelly if the phone was ready and she said it should be ready in 10 minutes and I said ok that's great. Kelly then confronted us regarding payment and I immediately was confused because I thought when she said we were covered by the warranty it meant there would be no cost. Kelly looked at my girlfriend and said "no the repair is $129.00 and you signed the document acknowledging the payment". I turned and looked at my girlfriend and I asked her "did you sign something?" my girlfriend was dumbfounded as she said "I absolutely did not sign anything and was not told there would be a charge". The first thing that popped in my head was "could this actually be a bait and switch? Or just an honest mistake?". Kelly explained that the warranty is an extended warranty and accidental damage was not covered. I explained to her that she should have let us known about all of this before having us wait for the repair and I told Kelly to stop the repair and put the cracked screen back on the device. Kelly then went to tell whoever was repairing the phone to put back the old screen. She then came back and told my girlfriend to sign something because she didn't sign it before and so I asked to read the contract first. It was an agreement to allow the Apple employees to work on the phone and pretty much says that they are not responsible for any further damage to the device. I turned and looked at Kelly and said "you should have asked us to sign this before you had our phone worked on". I am a fair man and I explained to my girlfriend that we had given them a verbal ok to work on the device so go ahead and sign the agreement anyways. My experience was a frustrating one and yes Kelly apologized, but a sorry doesn't give our wasted time back. Thank you for reading my experience. read more

Just yesterday, I was trying to type the simple word, "rip", when autocorrect decided I should have typed "tip" instead. This completely threw off the conversation and made me look dumb. I have had tremendous difficulties with Apple!!! Specifically, Streets of Southpoint. About 2 years ago they entered the wrong serial # for the phone they gave me, and recently a phone associated with that serial number was activated. At that time, MY phone was now associated with someone else's Apple ID and I was locked out. When I went into the Apple store in Southpoint, they said I'd have to wait 3 hours THREE hours because I did not have an appointment. I returned to work to grab my laptop and called the Apple support number. I was told I could only be helped by the store that sold me the phone. Back I went. It took about 3 hours for them to figure out their mistake but once they did, they STILL could not help me. They said HQ has to correct the serial number and they cannot. It would take 24-48 hours and they would email me. That was a week ago. When I took out the manager's card to call him, I realized it was the general store phone and store email. I entered the usual phone queue and had to WAIT SOME MORE. When I finally got through, nothing had happened and I was told they still can't do anything. I said I would be in tomorrow with my phone, expecting they will wipe and restore it as they promised. The manager of the day, Mike, said he would help me. I asked for him number, and he said he couldn't tell me. He WOULDN'T tell me, of course, because we all have direct lines. Apple policy, no doubt. Most frustrating experience ever. Tried to fix a small item on a power supply and Ebony treated me like I was asking for a big favor. Threw the warranty book at me. I've already replaced multiple replacement power supplies and spent gazillions on Mac products and she didn't give me the time of day. Left a voicemail for Eric, the manager, but he was "unavailable." Never lost my cool, but it's clear that if you don't fit into their tidy little system, they don't care, no matter how loyal I've been as a business owner to Apple. If you need to buy Apple products, just do it online. Don't bother with Southpoint. read more

Called Apple support and set appointment for battery replacement. Called this store to determine how long it would take. Employee answered and checked with manager to find out since I wanted to wait in area while fixed. Employee said they had new protocol that said iPhone batteries would be done within one hour. Showed up a few minutes early and was told they would run test to check out phone but would not replace battery at that time. I would have to return at a later date and time. Spent almost an hour going around and around with "lead" employee. Absolutely would not honor their word to me about repair time. Employee could have gone in back during that time and replaced battery many times over. Lead was more interested in standing his ground and putting me off. Absolutely no concern for keeping commit or good customer service. Showed arrogance and determination in trying to convince me that somehow I had misunderstood their commitment to me in making appoint. Would never visit an Apple store again. Will dump my iPhones ASAP. Would suggest others seek help at an authorized Apple service provider. You might find a person that actually cares about customer service and knows what it is to keep commitments. Worst customer service experience of my life. read more

They were out and said they get shipments in, to come back before 10 a.m. (a line forms at 9:30 a.m.) and perhaps we would be lucky. We have bought many Apple products from this store, where service has recently become very slow. But never was it so bad as this evening. The store was quiet with few customers--in fact more assistants than customers. But the response as we waited for service was simply lethargic. After a while we decided to buy what we needed--an expensive Apple product--from Best Buy. If this had happened only once, it would have been a management problem. But quality has steadily declined, so I suspect that Apple needs to give the store some headquarters attention. The store is becoming a display for their competition. read more

If you're going to provide good customer service, please please don't act like a hipster snob. Not everyone knows all the fixes when it comes to the software updates for the iPhone. That's why I'm there trying to get help at your Genius Bar. I made an appointment and waited way beyond my scheduled appointment time. When I got there to ask for help with the software update that caused my phone to crash, they informed me I didn't purchase Apple Care so it'd be $75 to do diagnostic work on the phone even though I bought my phone 4 months ago and it's still under the 1 year warranty. Evidently Apple doesn't want to help you when their software update causes problems with an otherwise working iPhone 4S. The guy that helped me acted like I was a complete idiot for even coming there about it. I called the Apple 800 number for help and the lady helped me fix the issue over the phone without charging me a dime. The guy at this store just shrugged me off and wouldn't bother to help me. If you have a problem with your device, call the 800 number first so you don't waste your time being treated like an idiot for not knowing what to do to fix their product. read more

If there was an option to offer this Apple Store zero stars, I would not hesitate to. I've had countless horrible experiences dealing with the employees and "geniuses" that are hired. The only time an employee exerts any amount of effort to offer help is when you're clearly looking to purchase a product - one of the 25 idle employees will fly out of the woodworks to ring you up. If, however, you make an appointment with the "genius" bar because of an issue with an Apple product, expect to stand and wait for god knows how long furiously watching the 25 (yes, I counted) employees stand around and avoid eye contact. Eventually you will become so frustrated you want to smash your mac book, iPhone, etc., walk out and never buy an Apple product again. The horrible customer service and corrupt business model (designing products intended to break) is absurd and needs to be addressed. read more

Rude! I am an Apple neophyte, just spending $650 for an iPhone 6s (switching from an Android). I actually wanted an iPhone 7s, but the supply and demand is crazy and prolonged. This morning, we went over to Southpoint's Apple store. The "welcome" guy was plain rude. When I said I couldn't get it activated through Consumer Cellular, he said they don't support CC, couldn't do anything about it. When I said that I thought to have downloaded the Android to IOS app but couldn't find it on my Android, he was like who cares. Finally, he directed us to a table where we could wait for 15-20 minutes to see if someone might help me. Really? And I have the Apple Care Plan! Two days into Appleland, and it's no man's land. On June 17th at 8:15 my wife and I had the great misfortune of meeting Richard the greeter at the Apple Store at the Streets of SouthPoint. We had gone there to purchase an IPad for Father's Day. When we walked in and declared our intentions we were told it would be 15-20 minute wait and to "go play with the IPads". I'm 57 years old I quit "playing" with computers many years ago and didn't appreciate the inferred references of our greeter. When it was our turn we began by asking our sales person a question when Richard, the greeter, declared that she was unable to answer that question and obviously we needed "a technical class before we could buy an IPad" Since we were about to purchase our 4th iPad this was quite the insult. Richard's tone and volume continued to escalate during the entire encounter. It was at this time that my wife and I left the Apple Store never to return. I caution anyone that walks into that store if you are greeted by Richard turn and head for the nearest exit. read more

What a nightmare. I brought my dead Iphone 6 in under Apple Care warranty and was told I would have to wait 1-1.5 hours. 2 1/2 hours later someone plugged it in for 11 seconds and told "yep it's dead". But they didn't have any in stock to replace it for me and told me I would do better sending it in myself to Apple. So after driving for 30 minutes to get there, spending nearly 3 hours there, I have to turn go back home, get back on my computer and mail it back anyway. What a joke. I wouldn't have minded if they told me this in the first 10 minutes of being there, then I would have been able to pick up my daughter from her first day of school. read more

Son's brand new iphone 5 not working right--won't come on half of the time. Nephew had same prob in Louisville--the store automatically swapped it for new one, 20 min visit. Durham store, girl sighed, spent ONE HOUR trying to email son about original email linked acct to re-back-up to icloud. Email she sent never would arrive a gmail acct. After an hour (and the ipod demonstrating twice how it stops working), she said let's set-up new one--why didn't I think to do that an hour ago?!?!? While backing up, the battery ran out and she says to take it home and see if it works now?! My husband protested, she didn't care. Rather than blow up, he left. Ridiculous waste of time.
