These are the guys to go to if you are in need of any kind of electronic repairs. I read a previous review saying they had done odd end repairs on an electronic component out of a car and that drew me in to get my amplifier repaired. Michael told me an estimate that was totally fair and told me if there were any other repairs required they would notify me before doing it to prevent unwanted charges. I was having trouble with my lighting charging port on my iPhone X (2017). It was getting more and more positional and was also starting to not staying in overnight. I'd waking up with a phone with less charge then when I went to bed and needing to leave to go to work on public transport. I'd be pissed whole way to work as not enough juice to do work on bus. I was also wasting time doing updates manually as apps were not getting automatic updates overnight when on WiFi as phone wasn't detecting charging cable. Luis responded through Yelp Estimates function in minutes. He suggest cleaning charging port. He offered to do it at store for free if I wanted to come by. If this did not fix it then he'd quote me repair or replacement of port in store once he'd looked at it himself. YouTubed cleaning port, keyboard compressed air and a GENTLE dig with a pin and got a couple chunks pocket lint out. Now cable and port make an intimate connection in missionary, doggy style, and standing in car phone holder. No premature ejaculation of charging cable in any position. FYI, this is the newly merged location for Bull City Mobile Repair. I stopped by because I thought that I had cracked my screen on my well-loved iPhone6s. I had been living with the cracks for awhile and the spidering got worse with time, so after researching my options for prices in the area, I settled on Bull City/Chargingport due to the ease of parking and quoted prices on the website. Much to my delight, it turned out that my screen was not cracked - it was my tempered glass screen protector! The guy working kindly offered to use the heat mat to get the protector residue unstuck in order to gently pull off the screen protector and all with no charge. A quick spritz of my phone afterward with an air gun and I was good to go again. In the event that I do have a repair issue in the future, I absolutely would return given my great customer service experience. read more

I had an old ipad that was not charging anymore. It had been treated pretty roughly by my kids, had been repaired by other vendors, parts replaced but still had a lot of photos and creative content that my kids wanted to retrieve. Charging Port gave a free assessment, repaired the charging port for a fair price, and even identified a couple of other things that needed repairing. The assessment took a few days but that was OK, and they called and told me how much it would cost. When I picked it up, I could see in the back of their shop that they've got a sophisticated repair laboratory going on. They were able to tell me correctly all the past repair work I'd had done and even identified some other fix-its at no extra charge that made my ipad easier to charge, more compatible with other charging cables. A few months later it's still going well. Now we're getting a lot of extra life out of this old ipad. Sometimes these repair places are full of hassle and outrageously expensive. Greatest phone repair shop, ever! My phone had a very unusual problem, and so another phone repair shop, which couldn't fix it, sent me to see Luis, at Charging Port. Because it was an obscure, difficult-to-diagnose problem, Luis took an educated swing at a fix, but he was unsure if it would work. Since he was unsure, he didn't charge me anything---very nice of him. It turns out that it did work, and it has prolonged the effective life of my phone for the foreseeable future, which is what I was hoping for. My GPS functions went from about 20% useful back to pretty much normal. Thanks to Luis for fixing the phone. I definitely owe him one! read more

My iPhone 8 plus battery died, so I took it to these guys. They ran a complete diagnostic as I had taken it to another business and the phone still would not charge. They installed a battery, and quickly resolved the issue. I took it home and the phone would not charge on a brand new iPhone charging adapter. I took it back in, they tested the adapter and sold me one that actually works. They are friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and prompt. They do great work here. I took a Bluetooth speaker in to have the microUSB port replaced and they fixed it quickly and efficiently. When I thought the repair was not working and contacted them, they replied quickly and offered to do whatever was need to make sure the repair was done right. Even though ultimately, it turned out to be a failure of use on my part, I really appreciated their willingness to make sure that I was completely satisfied with their work. I came in to have my phone's charging port fixed after it only charged in a certain position. I was afraid it was going to be pricey after I called different places. The guy offered to clean it out and if that didn't work, he would replace the port. Turns out, it just needed a cleaning and only cost me $20. Took less than 20 minutes to fix. The HDMI port on our PS4 was malfunctioning, and the guys at Charging Port fixed it the next day. (For comparison, another company in the area would have charged 1.5x the price and not had it back to me sooner than a week.) But when I brought it home and tried playing a game, the HDMI was working, but the fan noise on the system was very loud. I sent them a note to describe the issue and they had be bring it back; they repaired the issue at no additional charge and had it ready the next day. Went to get a port soldered back a board on that was causing a loose connection. Luis was super nice and took at look at what was causing the problem and quickly diagnosed the issue and ordered a new part. He also undercut Intrex computers who looked at the problem and said it would be a charge to even look at the issue. Luis was super nice and explained to me the problem at hand. I was having a very hard time getting my Samsung 8+ to charge. I would spend about 10 minutes wiggling the cord to see if I could get it to charge. I had no luck today so I sent a request for a quote thru Yelp to get the situation fixed. Tim, from Charging Port, replied that the port may just be dirty and they could clean it out for no charge.
