Clean facility, and you don't feel as though you are bumping elbows, but also not the whack-a-doo separation like the those COVID days. Prices are excellent for the quality of products you purchase. I've purchased the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Ultra iWatch 2, Air Pods, and a couple of iPads with iPad accessories. No regrets. Plain human decency is no longer part of customer service and this store proves it. I accidentally included a cable of mine when I returned a computer to this store. Went back just three days later. They said returns are shipped back to Apple the say day. "Can you just call them so I can get my cable back?" "We're not responsible." Not even a "Sorry." From Apple's POV, that was a good company man. But from a human perspective, that was simply a sh!tty thing to say to me. It's not the cost of buying a new cable that bothers me. It's the laziness of store workers who don't give a damn about people. Do the bare minimum work and get paid. Don't look at the return, just ship it back. BTW not the first time I had a crazy bad experience at this particular store from employees who want to do the bare minimum. Went there to have my battery look at on my computer. Kev was my first contact as I waited for a tech. He asked what was my issue and gave me some insight and recommendations. Then Seungjae came to do a diagnostic on my computer. He was thorough and gave me the options on how to proceed. It made sense to upgrade from my older model and received credit on a trade in. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave me no pressure but let me make my own decision. He ended up transferring all my data and when I came back for it a short while later, Ryan finished up the paperwork. I was in a terrible bind and needed my iPhone fixed. Every single person I interacted with on the staff, from the Geniuses to the manager, went above and beyond to help me. I seriously hate this store. My friend was unable to log into her icloud account because it got reset, and she wanted me to accompany her there. Reminder we set up an appointment at 1:35. They sent us to T-Mobile, even though they have nothing to do with icloud accounts and they told us that they receive multiple costumers saying the same thing about getting requests for icloud logins and have nothing to do with them and only apple could help us. We left at 6:30 after hours of the apple employies ignoring us and not doing anything to help, or even calling apple support because they're "not allowed to." They don't do their job to the fullest and never help what so over. Overall this place is horrible and their employies need better training if they even want to receive this job. The concept of customer service here is bizarre. I waited in line at the entrance for the employees helping incoming customers. After a minute I told them the exact product I wanted, and was ready to buy it right now. They took my name and pointed to a table and told me to wait there. I waited there. And waited. And waited. All while three employees stood at the other end of the table, chatting with each other casually. After a minute, I walked over and asked why I had to wait, and couldn't they help me? They asked the details and I filled them in. One said "There's a customers waiting before you." I said "I know what I want. The three of you are standing here and doing nothing." One of them was polite but maybe just dumb because they said "I'm here to handle online orders." I was dumbstruck. So I said to the three of them, barely out of high school: "I've been buying Apple products since 1984. I've NEVER seen customer service this poor." Two of them looked at each other as if to say "Oh no, it's one of THEM..." When they realized I was never going to shut up, when went to find the product and came back while the other handled the sale. Then I was able to leave with my purchase. WHY do I have to be pushy like that when three employees are doing absolutely I nothing? This store SUCKS. Managers, get a clue and teach the concept of "customer service." read more

I needed a battery for my phone so i dreadfully made an appointment at this store after multiple bad experiences in the past. The location works for me, otherwise I would not set foot inside this place. I showed up 10 minutes early and knew to check in with an employee at the front of the store... there were 4 gentlemen in apple t shirts at the front and one managed to break away from the pack to walk over to me. I informed him of my appt time, he checked his device and then said "stand over there to the side and someone will be with you soon". I thought back to my last experience in this same store, for the same reason, 2 years prior, but decided to be optimistic. Over the next 25 minutes as i waited, i counted 28 people wearing apple T shirts milling around doing nothing. This is not a typo, there were 28 employees on the floor, most huddling together, holding devices and cracking each other up while i waited to give them my money for a battery for a new battery for a 2 year old phone that cost me $600. During my wait, I noticed every employee avoided eye contact with me. New visitors to the store were processed in a robotic manner and then left to wander around, while the employees continued to cluster together and act like they were up and coming tech billionaires. Just when i was about to blow a gasket, a gentleman in a shirt and tie came out of a door at the back of the store. He looked like a senior manager and for a second i thought he was about to take charge of the store floor and provide coaching and leadership to the poorly trained robots milling around. To my surprise, he walked straight through a crowd of unproductive workers and exited the store. 30 minutes after my appointment time, a gentleman who had been milling around for the past 40 minutes of my visit came up to me cheerfully and asked if i needed a battery replacement. I was relieved. I gave him my phone and he checked the vitals (as i had done before coming to the store) and opined that i may need a battery, HOWEVER, since the glass casing of my phone was cracked, it could be a bigger issue than a battery. I let him know i just needed a battery, and that my battery life had been terrible for at least a year before the crack in the glass, and that i had no interest in anything else. The gentleman then tried to phone shame me for my older model phone, saying since the phone was so old, it could be other things at play and the price may increase appropriately. I managed to remain composed as i let him know i just needed a replacement battery and i was actually pressed for time. Then he said, it should take approximately 1 hour, you can leave it and come back. I asked why he could not change the battery while i waited and he explained it was a complex process and i would need to leave the phone behind. I expressed my concerns about leaving a phone loaded with all my personal data in the hands of a tech person in my absence, however, did just that and left the store and waited in the car for the next hour (i had no appetite to be in a store full of unproductive employees in a pandemic) One hour later, i walked back into the store, gave my name again, and this time was directed to proceed to a table that already looked crowded, there were 3 employees on one side and 2 customers on the other side. I stood in the vicinity of the table and waited... and waited, and waited. I didn't know what or who i was waiting for, but every time an employee walked by i perked up and tried to make eye contact, but they were too deeply engrossed in their ipads or scanners to look at me. Since i had time on my hands, I did another count of store associates, this time there were 29 employees in blue t shirts, 1 security guard and several others that looked like off duty associates. I counted 6 customers being helped and no more than 4 kids playing with machines. Basically, there were 5 employees to each customer and here i was trying to figure out next steps to get my phone back. During my waiting time, i observed that the only dress code requirement for employee's is to wear an apple T shirt. Some folks were wearing flip flops and shorts, others had on jeans that were ripped to shreds. Not one of these robots looked like they had gone through basic customer service or professional training exercises. Finally, an employee at the table had some time, apparently her other customers phone was updating so she could turn her attention to me. She was pleasant, asked me for my name, then asked to see my license, then she opened up an envelope and pulled out my phone, asking me to see if it was working. I tried to power on the phone and it did not respond immediately, it eventually did. Then i had to sign a fresh round of legalese to acknowledge that if the new battery was defective, it could be a consequence of my old phone. Finally, i was able to give apple some more money and exit the store. All in almost 2 hours after i showed up 10 minuted early. read more

Pretty disappointing service from the "Genius" Bar today. Had an appointment, ended up waiting an hour. Device doesn't power on. They had to do "diagnostics" to validate that the device doesn't turn on. That didn't work so now the are sending it out for additional diagnostics. Rediculous as im heading out to Europe next week and will have no device. You would think Apple prides itself on quality. When a device fails after 5 months it's probably reasonable to give the customer a replacement. Total fail from the store and our friends in CA! read more

Lots of employees standing around with iPads chatting amongst themselves. No prices or product descriptions on anything. Went to Genius Bar WITH appointment. Had to stick around for 2+ hours for a mere battery replacement. Making an appointment gets you in and out no faster than a walk in. Low and behold, after all that, they gave me a defective battery. Needed to work directly with Apple for a solution by mail. Super inconvenient solution but better than wasting another minute, or what felt like a whole day, in that abyss of a "store". Sincere waste of time. Probably would've bought something while I was there but the staff were all chatting and showed no interest in selling anything. And, what's the point of having an appointment if you have to wait so long for a simple battery replacement? You end up in the same queue as those without appointments. They confirmed as much. The location is very neat and tidy, but I was rather confused about the layout and systematic structure of how business was handled here. There's no lines or cash registers. It took me a while to figure out who the employees were, which turned out to be persons wearing green T-shirts. It's always nonstop busy, and we finally got someone to talk to us. Also, there appeared to be some sort of Apple corporate meeting taking place suddenly in the store. It was strange to see that happening. As for communication between employees and company policies, there seemed to be a major disconnect between what the policies were. Originally we were told that if u had a Student ID you could get a $50 discount on iPhone purchase. But, then no one knew, and everyone was unsure.... Then, we were told there was a headphones promotion w purchase of iPhone, or that it was for student ID promotion... We could've gone to TMobile, which was down the hall. Then, when it came down to it, TMobile didn't have the rose gold iPhone, so I had to wait while he was checking just in case. But, at check out, we got no discount not free headphones. All employees had totally different thoughts, feelings, assumptions about it also. Not the most organized business practice going on here... This is probably my 4th time shopping here, and it's always completely different. Anyways, employees themselves seem very nice and understand the tech vey well. As for money, pricing, and business they were rather clueless and no consensus on anything. Communication, communication, communication please. This is mainly for customer service only! I was there on Tuesday afternoon, after a long horrible day with my phone carrier's drama and parking issues during day, I came to this apple store because it's close to my home. Once I got there, I was immediately greeted by one of the staff and asked to stay where I was to wait for someone to come over for my service. I needed a new phone and I was a new member to my friends phone plane. Anyway this staff, I believe his name was Dylan, he is the sweetest person I've ever meet in my life(in any retail store) not only he tried to assist me in anyway to get the phone, his attitude was too good to me( because I did came in with a straight face, sorry) I had to come back after getting my new phone because I forgot about having WiFi to restore the phone is much better. He saw me coming back and asked if I needed anything else, that is beyond customer service! I really enjoy my time that I spend in this apple store and this great treatment, I know I didn't deserve it, but I hope apple do realize he and his team did very well! If I could give 0 stars I would. I arrived at the store at 4pm and was set up with an appointment for 5:30pm. Wasn't seen until 5:50pm, only to be told they know the problem but can't do anything because they are closing in 2 mins. I was sent back home with a phone that's not working after wasting 2 hours of my time. Such incompetence and lack of consideration for peoples time. I waited for Apple to open at 10 am. The staff was courteous and friendly. I was seen right away to repair a cracked screen utilizing my AppleCare plus and picked the phone up an hour and a half later. I'm torn in this review because I experienced both the same great customer service experience I've come to expect from Apple, along with the worst retail experience I can remember in any Apple location. I originally visited the store to get a repair for my iPhone, which had been experiencing issues for the past week. After a very gracious and helpful tech resolved my issue with a replacement phone I went over to the Apple TV display to look at purchasing one of the newer units. There was an employee sitting with a customer a few feet from the display who greeted me with a very curt "I'm helping this man so I can't have you messing around with that!" and turned back to whatever he was doing. I was taken aback because this was far below the standard of customer service I've come to expect from apple in my 10 years as a customer and was quite jarring. Needless to say I did not end up buying a unit and I'll be contacting the store again about the rude manner of this employee. read more

Not sure why this location has received only poor reviews, but it appeared to be your standard Apple Store to me... ...but with a little twist. My headphones had started to fall apart for my iPod. I stopped into the Apple Store in the South Shore Plaza and asked if they were covered under the 1-year limited warranty for iPods. Apparently the damage done was NOT covered. However, the gentleman behind the counter handed me a new set and said, "I'm not supposed to do this, but, just take these." And to top off, they were the newest/updated version of Apple headphones that have a better/more comfortable curve for the lobes. Pretty face freebie? I'd like to think so ;-) read more

After this appointment, Apple lost me as a loyal customer since 2009. When I bought my iPhone 4S, I bought an AppleCare plan. It was explained to me that the AppleCare protection would cover my phone free of charge for two years. The exception was if there was structural or liquid damage, in which case I would have to pay a $49 free for replacement. I went to the store and it was explained to me that I would have to pay a $49 fee to replace the phone. The issue with my phone is that the battery is no longer good. My phone will shut off due to no battery life right after displaying 22% battery life. This is not structural or liquid damage. But the Genius Bar attendant and even the manager who I asked for would not replace the phone free of charge as the issue did not appear in a "diagnostic." It was never explained to me when I paid for AppleCare that my claims would be subject to Apple's "diagnostics." That's awful convenient for Apple if you ask me. In addition, the manager refused to refund my AppleCare when I complained that the sale was misrepresented. Until this visit, I was planning to upgrade to the new IPhone 5 and also buy a Mac computer when my current computer died. Now, I will get a $49 replacement phone, use it as long as it lasts, and then buy a Samsung. In addition, my next computer will be a PC. I had my doubts about Apple's new management when the iPhone 5 was released. Outrageous prices for the phone and requiring an unnecessary new power cord that costs an outrageous amount of money. I'm now convinced that Apple's new management has lost focus on Steve Job's vision: products the customer wants and a focus on the customer. Now Apple is just another greedy corporation. I bought my iPhone here! This, from a girl who barely texts and just learned how to text in the Summer of '08. Well, I'm also a girl who enjoys websites like the facebook and yelp. I also carried around an old Nokia phone for a long while and that phone had no capablilites with the exception of texting and talking. I wanted an iPhone. I decided to just bite the bullet, and buy one on a Sunday afternoon. I was in Quincy that day, so the fiance and I decided to take a drive to "the Plaza" as the locals call it and I'd wait in line to get an iPhone. The store is basically a playground for nerds, geeks, dweebs, old nerds, old geeks, old dweebs, yahdoods, brodudes, homies, thugs, poseurs, hipsters, and one clueless Melissa M. I walked in the Apple Store, with a purpose and walked over to a girl who worked there -- she had a clipboard and had on an orange shirt with a little apple on it, so I kinda figured she'd help me. She didn't...she said she'd "get someone in a minute" and a half hour later, I tracked her down and she gave me this very young 18 year old boy to help me. He was cool though, and got me my phone. Got my old number transferred, started my account and about another 30 minutes later I was set up. All in all a good experience. Oh, there was even a little kids area that basically was free babysitting, well, it wasn't, but parents kinda just let their little rugrats play with the new technology. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any store. I went into the store for a screen repair where I was told there was an hour wait to even speak to a technician but I accepted and put my name down for an appointment an hour later. After a hour I went to the store and said that it has been exactly an hour and never received a text message that I was ready to be seen. The employee at the front of the store told me that her iPad said it will be another 20 minutes and I will receive the text to come back. After an additional 45 minutes I went back to the store saying it's been almost 2 hours and I am growing impatient. A guy assisted me and told me that they could do it now and that the other person put me on a stand by list instead of reserving an appointment for me. He said she should have told me that. I then saw with a technician who was very helpful and great and said he'd do his best to get my phone back to me in an hour. I went back got my phone and when I got home I realized 3 letters on my keyboard aren't working, the screen has been pressing buttons on its own and swiping without me touching it. Now I can barely open my phone and I have to use talk to text to send every text message. Additionally now the battery life is draining 10 times faster than normal. I went in for a shattered screen and the damage they created is FAR WORSE!!!! read more

Gotta 5 star this spot - it's a spacious and uncluttered apple store with all of the various apple products and a host of the newest third party iPhone/Pod related accessories, and a really friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. The main bonus point in their favor: I brought my laptop in, having dropped it on the floor and rendered the screen unusable, and they knocked $350 off of the repair price for me, making it feasible for me to repair the computer and not have to weigh the purchase of a new, expensive machine against an expensive repair job. Huge kudos to them for that, it's important to treat an apple loving customer such as me with that kind of respect. Lesson in cultivating brand loyalty here. read more
