First, Tod repairs hardware as well as software. That is very hard to find these days. He is fast and he is honest and his charges were extremely reasonable. My laptop was not charging, and it turned out it was a hardware problem, and he tried hard to fix it. When he couldn't, he refunded his charges. I would go back to him in a nanosecond. I have worked with the Good Geeks a couple times in the past year and they have always done a great job for me. The last time I went in was because I had a flash drive I was nervous I had messed up and wouldn't be able to get the files from. These files were actually recordings my mother made before she passed away. Among the recordings were messages she left for my siblings that I listened to but they had not yet had the opportunity to hear. I was terrified that I had messed up the flash drive and my siblings would never hear these messages. In this high stakes situation I knew just who to go to for help. I'm happy to report the files were fine and the messages have been delivered. I can't recommend the Good Geeks more highly. I was hesitant to use a new vendor for cleaning and maintaining my computers. But, I was tired of going out to Randolph to get the job done. I had often traveled by The Good Geeks here in Hull, MA, but I never considered going to them. But when my fan stopped in my laptop, I thought, "Why not?" So after talking to a friend about his experience with them, I decided to give The Good Geeks a try. After all, they are less than a mile from my house. The guys I spoke with, Don and I didn't catch the other gentleman's name, were wonderful. Just really "nice guys!" Easy to talk to and explain my issue to. I expected not to hear back from them until Monday or Tuesday, which was the norm for my former computer repair tech (who is just as wonderful! BTW - I feel bad moving on, to be honest, but I promise it is purely for practical reasons). Hull is very fortunate to have this team right in our home town, but I also recommend it to anyone in Hingham, Cohassett, Scituate, Weymouth, Quincy or any surrounding community. Well worth the price in gas to commute to them because their rates are reasonable as well. So for a quality service, with a quick turnaround, and reasonable rates, I'd say The Good Geeks are GREAT! read more

I am so glad I found Good Geeks - there had been positive reviews, and it's always nice to take a drive to Hull, so...off I went with my old laptop. Spotless cute store, they are very conscientious about distancing and cleaning. Within three days, I had some great advice, a new harddrive, and a scrupulously clean laptop that is running like a dream with all my old data. Very responsive, great customer communication. Let me start by saying the fear of purchasing a new laptop was overwelming, we felt like we didn't know what we didn't know. It was, at times, less stressful to contend with our slow laptop than it was to think about purchasing, and then transferring our "stuff" to a new laptop. We did not feel comfortable leaving our laptop at one of the large chain stores with all our "stuff" Finally we thought to stop by the Good Geeks and are we glad we did! We not only got great advice as to what to look for when shopping for our new laptop but we felt completely confident that they would transfer our "stuff" and set it up so we could just head on home and use our new laptop with ease and that is exactly what happened! Our only regret is that we did not do this sooner! Next on our to do list is to take some of the classes offered by the Good Geeks so we can better organize our photographs, Itunes and such... This place rocks! I brought my laptop there an within a few hours they called me and explained to me in normal people language, what was wrong and gave me options to fix it. I got it back the next day :) The guy John was wicked friendly, professional, and explained it awesome to a very NOT computery me! The prices are awesome too.
