Last time I moved it was the worst experience of my life with a well-advertised, local company that runs their ops like a professional scam--and very practiced at it they were, too. So I was dreading the move from a 3rd floor apartment to a home in Cedar Park. I knew I'd get charged for every step up and down the flights of stairs and that if I chose an hourly bid, I'd be watching another deliberate work slow down. So, I specifically looked for a mover that provided a per piece binding quote. Then, I spoke with the ones that others had liked and made my choice--Aloha Moving. I spoke with David, one of the owners, when I first asked how their service worked. He was very quick and accurate, walked me through and answered all of the questions I had until I was satisfied--without ever a hint of impatience. I spoke to him a couple of times more to sort out details and it was always a very positive experience. The price he provided me was also extremely fair! On moving day, Joseph and Memo, my moving team, called me about 30 minutes before they arrived. We did a quick walk-through to make sure they understood what pieces they would move, which needed special attention (dismantle, wrapping, disconnect, highly insured, etc.) After that, they got to work and NEVER stopped moving. They were respectful, cooperative, enthusiastic and handled my belongings like I would handle them. They took normal breaks and we brought in Rudy's for lunch--shame on you Rudy's for forgetting our BBQ sauce--and then it was right back to work. On the other side, they were even quicker with the unload, reassemble and placement of my furniture and boxes. They went above and beyond to make sure the experience was over-the-top good. Compared to last time, we finished in about 6 hours where the other company took more than 24 hours to complete the move because they couldn't figure out how to handle some of the larger furniture. There was no damage to any of my belongings or to either of the locations. Joseph and Memo are professionals in every regard. I have no hesitation recommending Aloha and especially Joseph and Memo. If I ever move again, I will definitely hire them. Whoever you are and wherever you're going, I can only wish you have the type of moving experience I had 2 weeks ago with Aloha! read more

The owner of Apple Moving and Storage really need to pay attention to his companies reviews. He has some satisfied customers and some very unsatisfied customers that work too damn hard for a company who fucks over customers and their employees. All the owner cares about is money cause if he cared anything about his company he would take the time out to see how his company is doing. John who is the owner of this company has employee's who he has running his company is not doing a very good job. You have some employee's who don't like to do there job. What is the purpose of coming to work and getting paid for nothing for half ass doing a job that they signed up for. then you have these half ass dispatchers who don't do they job completely . A dispatchers job is to set up the load and to make sure that they ask the customers how rooms are there that way the dispatcher will know how much help they will need so that they don't send too much or too less of helpers to do the load and have enough materials and supplies for the load. Do they have a garage; Ask if the customer's if they live in a house or apartment; If they and upstairs so that the driver will know. Will the driver have problems with the parking. The dispatcher's need to stop telling the customer's about the arrival time that the driver will get there. The drivers should call the customers and let them know the approximation of the arrival time they will get there so that if the driver runs into traffic or any problems that may occur on the delivery. This company doesn't care about there drivers all they care about is getting the load there. They don't care about the drivers safety about getting the load to the destination. All this company want is for the drivers to do the load rather it is a pack or unpack load or unload loads that weights that are over 10,000 pounds and drive and go to the next destination. What about the driver's needing and getting some rest so that they will be able to make it to there destinations. This owner all he cares about is money. He does not care about the employees behind the half ass doing there job fucking up on drivers payroll and this is numerous times. it is sad that a owner of this company does not take the time out to really look and see how his company is doing. read more

I have never really written a review before. However, after the service we received, I have to. At 11 AM, Brian and Joe showed up to unload two PODS and assemble a bunch of IKEA furniture. From the moment they arrived until the moment they left, they were kind, courteous, friendly, careful, and professional. We have used movers 5 times in the past 5 years and we have never had as pleasant of an experience as we had with Aloha. Unfortunately, the movers we paid to pack us on our move here failed to mark any of the boxes but if that annoyed Joe and Brian, you would never have known. They quickly unloaded the first POD, stopping at each load to remove each box from the dolly to open it up so I could tell them where the box went, then carefully restacking the boxes and bringing them to the right place. They were so careful with our belongings and everything was put in the exact right place. While waiting for the second POD to be delivered, they began assembly of the ridiculous amount of IKEA furniture we bought the night before. Once the second POD arrived, they quickly unloaded that one and got back to work on the furniture assembly. The guys assembled a big coffee table, an intricate entertainment stand, a bathroom storage cabinet, an over-the-toilet cabinet, a queen headboard/bed, a nightstand, a dresser, three barstools, and even a children's play kitchen (not to mention the reassembly of all the things that had to be broken down to fit into doorways.) I think it's widely agreed that assembling IKEA furniture is one of the worst things on earth--yet Joe and Brian did it for hours today and laughed and talked the entire time, never once showing the slightest bit of frustration or annoyance. We have two young kids and they even engaged my older one and let him think he was helping build his new kitchen. Honestly, I know that they have a very tough job and I know they must have been so exhausted and annoyed with how long everything took. I don't think they had any idea when they showed up just how long of a job it would be. However, their attitude was as positive when they arrived as it was when they finished nine long hours later. Aloha has two class acts working for the company and we will never use another moving company again thanks to them. read more

I first "met" Aloha Movers when I was moving into my last office space. Alas, they were not who I hired, but my neighbor, moving in at the same time, hired them. What a difference I saw! I watched longingly at the professionalism, politeness, and speediness abounded on his move while I was stuck with some of the absolute worst movers I think the Universe could ever create-- nothing you wanted in a mover, and everything you didn't... from foul language to broken belongings, to slower than snail's pace activity. So, when last weekend I needed to move into my new office home 3 years after my first observation of Aloha, they were the first and only movers I called. They arrived on time, took incredibly good care of our belongings, were very conscientious of the historic landmark building that I was moving out of, and even managed to safely and successfully fit pieces of furniture into the elevator that no mover had ever been able to fit before. We were all delighted that they were able to avoid a 6-floor walk down with 2 out of the 3 suspected "stair move" pieces. The guys they sent were polite and amicable, and they got the job done in under the time estimated for our move. Every time I called or emailed the office leading up to the move I got immediate response. I'd hire them again and again, and can personally endorse them as a safe, polite, reliable-- and dare I say *enjoyable* part of any move. Highly recommended. read more

Apple Moving packed, loaded and moved the contents of our home 10 days ago. They did a GREAT job!!! I cannot say enough good things about them. I would highly recommend them for your next move. Our house move was large... 6,200 feet of stuff. Lots of really heavy furniture, art and antiques. They did a great job caring for every piece, carefully wrapping and transporting each. Everything made it to their destination safe and sound. Actually, there were 3 locations to which furniture had to be delivered - our new home, storage and my daughter's home. They got everything going to the right location AND they did the complete pack, load and deliver in two days, a day ahead of schedule. The guys are FAST, but careful. The team has obviously been working together for a while - you could sense the camaraderie among the guys (ask for these guys...Ruben, Rey, Lawrence, Andrew, Tony, Dylan, and David). They were a pleasure to be around. They were friendly, fast, efficient, professional and experienced. Watching the guys move the heavy pieces, carefully orchestrating every move to avoid dings and scrapes was something to see. Price-wise, they were very reasonable compared to others out there. A firm price, not a range. They actually came in under their estimate. Ken did a great job of coming out and scoping out the move and providing us with an estimate that was spot on. I used Aloha Moving for my recent move and am so happy I did! I submitted a list of boxes and furniture on their website and got a quick response Email giving me their estimate. I realized the next day that I had left some items off the list, so I called them up and got a human being right away! I gave them the additions over the phone and got an updated estimate on the spot. They gave me a 2-hour window on my moving day, and told me that there were 2 moves for this team prior to mine so they might be earlier or later depending on how those went. On the day of the move, Mike called during that time window to let me know they would be arriving late and roughly when they would be there. This move had 2 pickups and a single dropoff, but there were no hitches. Good communication. Mike and Dave were super friendly and easy to work with. They had no problems checking with me and asking questions if there was anything they were unsure of. They took great care of my stuff. I didn't find any damage (really, I expect a little bit when moving!) and have no complaints. This was their 3rd move of the day and though they must have been exhausted, they had a great attitude throughout. This move was a great experience for me. My previous move with a different company, the workers damaged many items and hid them until after I had signed the release. With Aloha, I was able to just relax and trust these guys. read more

I had never hired professional movers before so wasn't sure what to expect. We just had a baby so moving ourselves wasn't an option (it took us 3 weeks just to pack). The crew at Apple Moving is amazing. They called to ask if they could arrive 30 mins early, we were ready so said great. They loaded our entire house in about 2 hours (we have a LOT of stuff). The guys were very friendly while staying focused on the job. And they were super helpful. We had planned to move some knick knacks & pictures ourselves, they said we have room and packing materials so we said OK. The 2 hours load up includes them doing some packing for us! The unload was even faster, when they got to our new place they unloaded everything in about an hour. I can't believe they moved everything, start to finish, in less than 4 hours. I'm also struck by how affordable this was. If we had moved ourselves we'd have rented a truck, paid for the gas, bribed friends with breakfast tacos & pizza, and it would have taken us several trips over a full day. And we'd have saved ourselves less than $200. I'm really impressed by how quickly they moved us, and my wife really appreciated how professional & friendly the crew was. Nothing was broken or scratched. Nothing was dropped. It was great from start to finish. I don't plan to move again for several years, but I can tell you that the next time I'll be calling Apple Moving. read more

I have used Apple Moving for my last 3 moves (over a period of 5 or so years) and the quality of their service has remained the same. They are the most affordable quotes. I do get estimates from about 4 other moving companies, but theirs are at least $100 cheaper every time. One time they were the lowest by $300. They also get the move done quickly and efficiently. The movers and office personnel are respectful and friendly and all sign up/confirmation processes are user friendly. The quoting process is one of the easiest I have encountered online because you just have to click the items you need moved and detail the amount and approximate weight of any boxes you will have moved. They also stick to this quote. The movers have a print out of the form when they arrive. They go over the details of the form including initial costs, items you have disclosed that need to be moved and any extra charges (which are also disclosed when you file out the quote yourself). When the move is complete and payment is due they go over the form again with you and explain any additional costs, for example, you forgot to include your grill needed to be moved. The movers are very good at assembling and disassembling any items you have. They also take great care moving the items as I have not had any items with any damage. I have recommended them to others who have also been just as satisfied. read more

This company is by far the best moving company I have EVER used in my entire life! Krysha Bearden was patient throughout the entire process, easily accessable, friendly and professional. When I asked her who her manager is so that I could share my positive experience I had with Krysha she was shy in telling me that she is the manager - she was just promoted to that position. She absolutely deserves it! The actual movers--all I can say is WOW--Ruben Estrada, Dylan Chambers and Andrew Lujan where fast, professional, positive, friendly and went above and beyond. Let's face it, moving is a pain. But, moving from city to city is an even bigger pain. They made the entire experience so smooth. Ruben has been at this for years (with Apple) and it shows. He is a professional who knows exactly where and how things should be moved with much care. Dylan is a sunshine. Always smiling and super positive. No matter what it was, he was sure it would fit--and it did! Andrew was able to move quickly and efficiently. Again, the entire experience was amazing not just on the front end with Krysha but throughout with the movers until the very end. All in one day. Not one broken item or dish. Josh and Key moved me from Austin to Dallas in early December. They packed from two locations in Austin and moved my things to two locations in Dallas. I've done several cross country moves in the past 10 years and they were by far the best I've had. Where I have typically had a crew of three, Josh and Key together did the work in probably half of the time as has been done in the past, which is impressive because this was my largest move to date. Apple Moving was referred to me by two co-workers who had nothing but glowing reviews and they definitely lived up to their reputation. Josh and Key were patient with me (I gave them the wrong address in Dallas and took them a "couple" miles out of the way) and were friendly throughout the whole day. It was clear that they work well together as a team. Not a single thing was damaged in the move and I have quite a few pieces of mirrored furniture. The only downside of the move had nothing to do with Josh and Key, but with the front office. I called the day of the move to give kudos to both of the guys and was told by Nick that he would call back the next day. I did not hear from him until today, a month after the move. I hate that the guys didn't get the kudos they deserved more quickly and feel bad that I didn't write a Yelp review more quickly. read more

We had movers set up several weeks ahead of our in-town July Fourth weekend move. Two days before, those guys "got stuck in New Jersey" (I don't know) and we were left with bupkus. My husband called Apple, got a great quote and got on the schedule, and on our regularly scheduled move-out day, a three-superhuman crew showed up at our house to get it all done. And man, did they ever get it all done for us! Ruben, Andrew, and Tony walked into a pretty chaotic situation and wrangled it into shape. In just under seven hours, they loaded the contents of our old house, transported it all, and unloaded it all. They were careful AND quick. They checked in to see what we wanted. In the new house, they kept it organized and put everything exactly where it needed to go, all while being kind and funny to our two little boys and unfailingly pleasant to the frazzled grown-ups. In short, THEY WERE AMAZING and we absolutely could never have had a better crew. From beginning to end, Apple Moving was outstanding. Ken provided a very thorough inventory of items and assessment of the amount of goods and was responsive to all of my questions leading up to and on the day of the move itself. What was more impressive to me was the quality of the team that actually did the work on the day of the move. In the first 30 minutes it was clear that Apple does not skimp on the matter of hiring. The team of men were courteous, professional, and ever willing to help as I scampered to wrap up some of my packing (this was a PBO move). Equally as important to me was how they listened to my concerns and attended to the details. I have at least 7 large antique items with spindle legs and delicate features that could easily snap if you looked at them wrong. Each pieces was cared for as if it was their own grandmother making the request and every one of those pieces arrived in tact without damage (as did the whole household). I think companies can at times forget the significance of hiring well. The team members (Ruben E., Joe H., Andrew L., and Josh S.) were delightful and kind...and good at what they do. We just had to move from Austin to Dallas because of work. The move had to happen quickly and we turned to Aloha because of the Yelp reviews. From the phone call to set up the appointment, to the follow up call to verify arrival - all things went smoothly. The operator was friendly and always answered questions gracefully. Then, this past Saturday - the move! We had less than a week to pack and move. And the guys at Aloha just made it all go so smoothly. Rubén, Andrew, and Mike, our 3 man crew, arrived on time and loaded up a 2800 sq. ft. home in less than 2 hours. They hustled and got it done quickly and without damaging anything. This included bringing down the washer and dryer from the 2nd floor! They drove our belongings to Dallas and arrived at our new high rise condo in the middle of downtown Dallas. Again, smooth as can be. The 3 gentlemen quickly began working with our building staff to ensure a smooth delivery to our new home. Even with freight elevators to contend with, Rubén and his crew got everything done in record time. We are so very grateful to Rubén, Andrew, and Mike - and Aloha Moving - for taking the stress out of our very quick and hectic move from Austin to Dallas! read more

Apple Moving was hired for our residential move in April 2017, and while unpacking the boxes I discovered our porcelain Longhorn statue missing one horn and the other horn was broken off. The damage was directly attributed to being packed at the bottom of a box, with cut glass and heavy items packed on top of it. Having paid for insurance to mitigate damage, I submitted a claim. This item was purchased in the late 1970's, and unfortunately, I do not have a receipt to verify the amount paid. Apple Moving did offer to have an art restoration company restore the Longhorn, but that they were not able to repair it. This is a limited-edition sculpture, and I have been unable to locate a replacement statue online. Apple Moving offered a small token settlement. I purchased the insurance to cover this type of breakage - the move was expensive and paid in full. I countered with another amount to close the claim and gave Apple Moving two weeks to decide but I never heard back from them. Apple advertises the process for purchasing insurance, but fails to deliver. Their business office has a good collection department, but a poor and unprofessional attitude to follow up when item is broken. read more

They say that moving is up there with death and divorce, but if all moves go like this one, I am taking it off the "worst of..."list. My entire experience with Aloha was terrific: I needed to schedule a big pack and move in a hurry. Josh not only fitted me in to their schedule but had an opening the same day to come and survey what I needed to move. On packing day (which was different than moving day, for logistical reasons) Josh and Key were extremely prompt, courteous and professional. They returned three days later to move me to my new home. The weather was terrible: persistent drizzle followed by great humidity, but they soldiered on unfazed [I should add that my old home has two sets of stairs with narrow turns.] I have several delicate art works and a few other cumbersome pieces that they handled incredibly well. Not a ding or scratch throughout the process. Josh even glued together a leg of an antique bed-stand that had somehow become unstuck some years ago! I cannot give these guys high enough praise and will hopefully never have to use them again for a home move, but they also move offices, individual pieces, etc., so... THANK YOU FOR YOUR FANTASTIC SERVICE! read more

Fantastic movers and great company to do business with! Excellent quick communication from Josh Maresh, who scheduled an estimate visit quickly and arrived promptly. He gave me an itemized estimate based on my stuff, not a guess over the phone based on square footage, quoting significantly lower than any of the from-the-hip estimates we got from the competition. Josh was also quick with updates when I sent him new information about items we hadn't considered. On moving day, Alex, Memo, Deon & Lawrence showed up right on time and got right to work. They clearly knew what they were doing and had fun doing it, so we breathed a sigh of relief knowing we were in good hands. The team was friendly and did everything quickly, expertly and without damage! They never even batted an eye at some of the more difficult items. I was especially impressed with the way they handled the elliptical (which they moved downstairs without disassembling it) and the baby's crib (ditto). In the end, they moved my 2300-sqft house in about 6 hours from start to finish WITHOUT DAMAGE. I hope never to have to move again, but if I do, I will use Apple Moving again in a heartbeat. Review based on a move Saturday, December 15, 2018. Apple Moving earns four stars from our family STRICTLY because of the hard working heavy lifters, Marcus and Geremo. Unfortunately, the front office staff leaves a lot to be desired! I was passed around between two different reps. No one ever called backed or emailed my initial quote. I had to continually follow up. Poor customer service right out of the shoot. When I finally received my booking, the contract specifically stated that I would receive a reminder email and/or call from my front office rep the day before the move. NEVER HAPPENED! I had to call the morning of the move to ensure I had movers scheduled. VERY UNSETTLING. The good news...the heavy lifters that showed up were wonderful. They ARE the face of the company. Marcus and Geremo went above and beyond the call of duty. Worked they tails off for my family. My advice if you want to use Apple Moving, is to stay on top of the front office staff! Advocate for yourself and call each day to ensure your move is properly scheduled and that your getting the best value for your money. Ask for Marcus and Geremo as your two man team! read more

Before the move even happened I had a great experience with them. I had only used a moving company once and that was 8 years ago so I had a lot of questions. Josh answered every question I had. Plus he was very kind in his responses and didn't seem annoyed when I would come up with another one. They were also having a great deal on moving prices which helped me as I was on a budget. I moved on 1/9/15. The move was supposed to be on 1/10 but the weather was going to be bad that day and luckily they had an opening for the day before. The guys called when they were on their way to make sure I was home. The movers were Dylan and Ruben. They were awesome!! They came in and moved it quickly. They were even kind enough to allow me the use of a giant box that they kept in their truck for some of the things that I hadn't been able to pack. They were in and out in a very timely manner but at the same time were taking great care of my belongings. They were also very friendly. My son recommended Apple Moving to move me from my large one bedroom apartment in South Austin to a much smaller one bedroom place also in South Austin. I had only had one experience with movers before, and it was a little unpleasant. I figured this move was going to cost me a small fortune, like the last time I moved, and that there would be a lot of stuff they would refuse to move, like the last time, and that some of my stuff would probably get smashed. Imagine how surprised I was to get two friendly, competent, strong, professional young men, Joe and Louis, who got right to work and moved me in about two hours time. They came prepared with a huge truck and two big dollies, took everything, nothing got broken, and I couldn't be happier!! It was amazing to see how fast and efficiently they worked! They were an efficient, fast-moving team, not to mention a pleasure to work with from start to finish, smiling and polite the whole way!
