Stopped at the Apple store and bought a MacBook Air. Jim was very informative and professional with the sale. He was patient, kind, and courteous. He showed us the difference between several devices. I was very pleased with my purchase. Ask for Jim when shopping at Apple.

Nothing like a trip to the Apple store!

Very friendly associates. The whole Apple store concept is somewhat confusing to me. I a new user so when I look around the store and there are several different items that look identical (too me) I don't know how to select the bwst item for me without the aid of a sales associate. This is not a critique of the store or its associates. It's a review of my experiences as a customer.

I usually go to the Apple Store at Keystone Crossing in Indianapolis and this was my first time to this Apple Store at Franklin Park Mall. We took my 15 year old grandson who was visiting from Oregon to Tiffin (in Northwest Ohio). He had never been to an Apple store so I was hoping it would be a good experience for him as it has always been for us. We went specifically to look at the Apple watches which my wife & I already own. We had numerous employees ask us if we needed anything and we had a few minor questions but mostly wanted to look around and browse which they always let you do without any pressure. My wife was also looking to get an additional watchband (one of the new Woven Nylon ones). When it came time to get to business, an employee - associate - genius came over to us and answered all of our questions. From that point on, he was fantastic being there as much or little as we wanted. His name was Phillipe and could not have been more polite or respectful to us or my grandson. I watched him as he dealt with my grandson alone and was totally impressed how polite and respectful he was treating him the same as he treated us. We have always had a Great experience at the Apple stores and that is why we choose to do all of our Apple purchasing there instead of other retailers. The "Apple Store Experience" as I refer to it cannot be compared to any other retail experience. I seriously have never encountered a single employee who, I felt was not ready to be on the floor. When I do ask a question they cannot answer, they always go and get the answer for us from someone else. As a side note when my wife was browsing she asked one of the associates about a problem she has been having with her iPad on a setting and he went straight to a particular individual and he quickly showed her how to correct it. That made her day as we have tried everything and they fixed it in a matter of seconds. As they always do, Phillipe offered to help my grandson set up his watch and sync it to his phone, which I was grateful of since I was not going to have the time afterwards as we had to travel back to Indiana. I stepped away and let Phillipe work with my grandson and he actually let my grandson do the set up while assisting him. He was very patient and never rushed him in anyway. When they were done, Phillipe asked him if he had anymore questions and offered the various branches of support that Apple offers in case he had any additional questions or problems. I thanked Phillipe for an excellent experience for the almost 2 hours we were in the store (much of it browsing) and Phillipe gave me his business card. As I look back, I really don't know how it could have been a more positive experience for us or our grandson (who acknowledged he has never been treated with that level of attention or respect before). I'm pretty sure he was impressed and will be back to the Apple Store! A huge Thank-you to Phillipe Taylor at the Franklin Park Mall Apple Store.

He was able to get me a quote for parts and labor, and let me know when he would have it done and that made me so happy.. I don't like to wait for orders online but he let me know he had some extra parts around that he was willing to throw into the deal.. and ultimately because I was so happy with his response time I was willing to pay him a little more. Since then I've been back to Joey and upgraded my machine with him and he even HELPED ME sell my old parts and replace them with the upgrades. He is extremely knowledgable, personable, we honestly spent more time talking and nerding out than anything. Great guy and does his thing well. I've even seen his setup first hand and I was impressed. Anyone reading this.. Go to him. World Class Computers is amazing.

I use Linux Ubuntu, not every business' cup of tea. Joey contacted me within a day of my email query and we agreed on a date very soon thereafter. I was absolutely delighted with his work. He was fast, efficient and fearless about updating and bringing the desktop up to speed and getting the printer to relate to it. All this and just a great guy as well. I highly recommend him on all counts!

He doesn't respond to emails or text messages and doesn't keep regular hours, despite the 10am-6pm that he advertises. I tried months ago to get my MacBook repaired with him. I had an appointment nearby that ended around 10am when his shop supposedly opens (as per advertised hours). When I called to tell him I was on my way, he said he wasn't at the shop and told me he works by appointment only and that he works around whatever his client's hours are... After all that, he agreed to meet me so I could drop the computer off for a diagnostic. After looking at it, he told me I needed to purchase speakers, so I asked if I could have the speakers shipped directly to him. He said yes but that I couldn't have them sent to his shop due to construction. So I asked for an address where I could send them and he never responded. Due to his lack of response, I missed my window to order in time to receive them before Labor Day. I didn't want to be without my computer too long, so I asked if I could come the next day around 9am because I had another appointment in the area. He gave me massive attitude claiming all of a sudden that his hours are 10am-6pm despite having clearly told me before that he works around his clients' hours by appointment. At this point, I was thoroughly confused. I went to pick up my laptop and he met me in the parking lot, shoving it into my hands and practically sprinting back to his car. I asked how I should pay the diagnostic fee ($39) and he said I'd just pay it when I got the repair done. Okay whatever. I didn't have time to deal with the repair until 3 months later, especially since I'm almost never on that side of town. I tried emailing him to make arrangements for the repair again and lo and behold - no response. I'm not dealing with this guy anymore. I'm on vacation this week, so this is likely the only chance I'll have to get this repair taken care of for a good long while. So I just made an appointment with the Genius Bar. Really wish we had better options for Mac repairs around here but what can ya do... At least the Apple store knows how to communicate & makes it easy to make an appointment. Geez.

However, based on my initial experience, when I went back at another time, to get another computer fixed, I got a very different unexpected vibe. Having experienced a curt, rude, dark haired, middle-aged man that did not really want, or could care less if he had my business. Recommended by a faith based institutional customer, who was shocked to hear how I was treated, as a senior I was taken back, by his dismissive attitude toward me, as well as my older computer.

The 18-year old behind the counter kept trying to upsell us the Geek Squad 3-year warranty. Um no. It was under the 1-year warranty so I wanted them to run a diagnostic test on it. They called back after a few days and said it was a hardware problem and it's not covered under warranty but if I bought the 3-year Geek Squad thing for $400 they could fix it. For that much I could get another laptop, so no thanks (I only use it for the Internet). Disgusted with Best Buy a computer nerd we know highly recommended Virtual PCS. We took it in, the owner was great and told us so many of his customers come there because they get disgusted with Best Buy and their Nazi upselling tactics. He also told me that a waranty covers hardware and basically Best Buy tells people a load of shit to get them to spend more money. Virtual PCS did a great, quick and professional job. Not to mention an honest job. I had never been to an independently owned computer store before but am so glad I tried them out.
