While I am satisfied with the refrigerator I purchased, their delivery service is lousy. Time frame was from 7am-7pm. Then changed to 1:30-5-30. Showed up at 3:45 which was fine but is only one way to get large items in my home, which was a hassle to get communicated. So, while I was in Toledo, my wireless mouse decided it was a good time to die on me. Being that I didn't have time to shop around, and needed to replace it quickly, I decided to go to Best Buy instead of a Target or Meijer to purchase said item. I know that I don't have to guess if they will have it there or not, and I didn't want to order it online. I found this Best Buy about 2 miles from the hotel. Awesome! I called first to see what the shopping situation was and if they were even open with quarantine. The lady on the phone said that yes, they are open and its curbside service only. When you arrive, you wait outside the door and talk to one of the many service advisors in the blue Best Buy shirts and they will help you with your purchase. I told her I just needed a wireless mouse and that it shouldn't be a problem. When I got there, they had plenty of staff and yellow dots to stand on while you wait. I was greeted by a lady who said that someone would be with me in a few minutes since they were kind of busy! (people need their electronics man! LOL) I only waited like 2 minutes and a nice man came over and walked me through the entire purchase. He had a tablet on him and he brought up the different mouses they had in stock in the store. Remember, you cannot actually go into the store to shop. It must all be done curbside. We scrolled through the collection and I chose the one that I liked. He brought it out to the curb and let me check it over. When I decided that it was the right one, he walked me inside to the register. (you can go inside to pay and that's it, but everythings roped off and for staff only, so there's no sneaking by.) He rung me up and it was the easiest part of my day. I was able to get what I needed in a grand total of about 15 minutes. I actually spent more time in the parking lot deciding on what to do for dinner than I did shopping here. Thank you best buy for doing your best during these weird times. My only criteria were that I would be able to get Microsoft Office and it was less than $1,000 (but not too cheap). Samuel showed me three options and explained the differences. He was not pushy at all and was patient in explaining a few functions a few times while I was wrapping my non-Millennial mind around the options. Our store experience today at Brst Buy in Spring meadows located in Holland, OH was absolutely unacceptable! I give ZERO stars, but had to select 1 to get to post. We went to the store to get a new screen protector for our son's phone that we had purchased there about a year and a half ago. We purchased the lifetime replacement.  We were told that the screen protector that we needed is no longer available and there was nothing they can do to help.  They did not offer to help us in any way.  Instead the "manager" that came out at the Geek Squad counter (Tyler) was extremely rude and belligerent.  Even other customers waiting in line said they felt sorry for us for the treatment we recieved. So Best Buy blatantly told us that they would NOT help us in honoring the lifetime screen protector.  We have spent a great deal of money there over the years, but will not make the mistake of ever buying from Best Buy again. I had a really frustrating experience with my car radio installation. I had to set up multiple appts because they didn't allocate enough time to complete the job. Two weeks after the final install appt the install and equipment failed. So I had to go back AGAIN. No one apologized for their screw up and they tried to charge me more to fix their faulty equipment and installation. They may be cheaper than their competitors, but their quality sucks. Recently placed an order for same day shipping (the only reason why I didn't buy the product from amazon as amazon is always more reliable). I paid an extra $8 for same day shipping. Note: it said 1 day delivery would be latest if I didn't pay the 8. It is now "expected" to arrive 3 days late at the earliest. When you are promised same day delivery and it ends up taking 3+ days, it's unethical. I even called to just pick it up myself and they wouldn't/couldn't let me. I know waiting a few extra days is not a big deal, but a large company should be more reliable than this. And I've heard this from many people who buy from Best Buy hence the other terrible reviews. When your packages get delivered with individual people from "Shipt" rather than by Best Buy directly or with UPS/Fedex/etc it's no wonder why your delivery service is terribly unreliable. No offense to those that work for Shipt, but using that for an entire store's delivery needs seems crazy. Will be staying away from Best Buy for good after this. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. The customer service at this store is absolutely atrocious I would reccomend buying elsewhere. I went online and logged into my best buy account and I purchased a 32" Insignia smart television set at a very cheap price and set up in store pickup for the next day. So after waiting about 25 minutes or so in line to pickup my order I give the associate my account information and they pull up my order. The associate then tells me I am not authorized to pickup my order. I then ask, why ? She proceeds to tell me that the purchaser was my wife that she needs to pick it up, I laughed and said you are joking right ? No response. I then proceed to pull up not only my best buy account via Google, but also provided the purchase email and the pickup email to prove that I placed the order. Not only that I also pulled up the authorized persons for pickup through my account settings on their website, low and behold I am the only person listed as authorized to pick up on my account. Literally the only thing attached to my wife's name was the credit card it was purchased on. They still refuse to give me my television. I ask for a manager and the store manager literally gives me the same spiel, I once again provide all the information I provided to the associate, the manager apologizes and refuses to give me the product. So at this point I'm like fine refund me my purchase, the manager proceeds to refund me for a television that for some reason I'm not allowed to pick up but im allowed to say I don't want it give me my money back. This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any store and after years of loyal patronage to Best Buy I will never return there again for any reason. *update* Today 12/29 I recieve an email claiming I picked up the television they refused to give me on 12/28 that I had asked to be refunded. So I return to the store to ask why, after explaining the situation from 12/28 to another associate, they then tell me that they had to show the item as picked up to issue a refund. So I asked for a receipt to confirm this and they told me they were unable to provide that. Another associate walks up and asks me to explain the situation again so I do, this person decides to get extremely snippy and quite frankly down right rude with me claiming I'm confused and I don't know what I'm talking about. At this point I'm like you know what just give me corporates phone number and he proceeded to give me the 1888bestbuy number I said that isn't corporate. He argues with me about that then threatens to kick me out of the store. Mind you I was calm and I didn't get loud. So I left the store. By the way Don't bother calling that number to file a complaint it falls on deaf ears, Best Buy doesn't care about you as a customer or thier atrocious customer service they provide. Do NOT, under any circumstances, have an appliance installed by this or any Best Buy in the Toledo area. This isn't a complaint about Best Buy itself but the horrible installation company that they use out of Detroit called Optima. First experience was a dishwasher that resulted in 4 missed installation dates and several wasted vacation days and hours on the phone before finally having the situation resolved. The second experience was a washer and dryer that is still in the process of being resolved after more missed install dates. Optima has awful customer service and blame everything on Best Buy. I don't have a need to shop here often and that sure is a relief. I went in to buy a portable air conditioner that was reported to be in stock on line. There were many blue shirts standing around, and I had to wave one of them down for help. Well it turns out that he was of no help. I said I'm looking for a frigidaire portable AC that you have on sale. He said there they are.. and pointed to a stack of window units. I said those aren't portable; he said that's all we have. So I ran a few more errands, went home, got back online to check the stock and it stated that Monroe St still had them. When I called the local number online, it put me through to a CALL CENTER.. wtf. I said I want to talk to someone in the store, she said she could call them... talk about a waste of time.. so she called them, told me item was in the store, and when I asked why it wasn't on the floor for sale, given our soon to be 90+ degree temps, she said they didn't have room. It seems funny that a person who wasn't in the store could make a statement like that, and she couldn't have been more inaccurate.... plenty of room. (I just think they wanted to push the more expensive, lower ranked, Honeywell units.) So I drove back to the store, with a picture of the item I wanted with the SKU number available (again, sad that an employee wouldn't be able to find this info for me). As I walked back to the AC units, a blue shirt walks by me and belches so disgustingly loud I couldn't help but tell him how gross he was. Again, I approach a group of blue shirts, tell them what I'm looking for and one of them says, we don't have it. I said yes you do. It's in the back room. (Blood boiling at this point) So an agreeable blue shirt goes to the back to look for it. As I'm standing there with an irritating look, a female manager approaches me, I tell her the story and she helps with expediting the process. I guess I'm confused, Best Buy is a retail store, why wouldn't they have their stock available on the floor? Also, maybe a slight incentive should be dangled so that the blue shirts actually help customers rather than hovering around each other.. food for thought I guess. read more

This place should change their name from Best Buy to Worst Service. AWFUL service at this store. One time I went in to look at Washer and Dryers and couldn't find anyone to help me and ended up going to Lowe's, they lost out on a sale due to their bad customer service but seeing the bad luck I had with a dishwasher purchase it was probably a good thing. A few months ago I needed a new dishwasher and had to wait almost a half hour before someone could help me. The only reason I didn't walk out that time was I had a 10% off coupon and they were offering free install as a promo and the competition wasn't. Even though I had a print out with a deliver time and install time (they use separate delivery and installation companies for dishwashers and you have to schedule them at least two days apart and then someone comes to pick up the dishwasher), they never showed up or called. After calling the 800 number I found out they didn't even have the dishwasher in stock and it would be another week and then they didn't show up the next week either. After three weeks of waiting I finally had the dishwasher delivered and then the person who was to remove the old one never showed up and I was stuck with an old dishwasher in my small kitchen for over a week waiting for pick up. Another time I needed a new laptop and saw online best buy had it in stock. Even though Amazon was cheaper I wanted it right away and decided I would see if they would do a price match. Waited over 15 minutes for a sales rep and just played around on the display model and after seeing I liked it I went online and ordered it on Amazon and had it two days later. No wonder BBY is being nick named the Amazon Showroom (people go to best buy to look at products and then order it for less on Amazon). with this poor level of customer service. Some of the stores I have been to are great like the one at Spring Meadows, but this store is awful. read more

This was the worst of the worst experiences I have EVER had in a retail store. I'm not one to right a bad review but my experience is more than deserving. I purchased a new Mac Book Air from a woman with an Australian accent back in August. She was very polite and professional. She informed me if I bought the laptop and put it on a Best Buy Visa I could get either A) 10% cash back in rewards dollars (2 weeks after purchase to make sure I didn't try to return the MacBook and still receive said rewards dollars) or B) 0% interest for 12 months. I ended up applying for the card and picking promotion A, 10% cash back on my purchase which was $850.00. Basic Math tells me 10% of 850 is 85 in rewards points. Great Deal (in my mind). Apparently not! So I go to check on my points card a few weeks later and I only had $42 in points, which is 5% reward dollars if you're wondering. So I go to the Best Buy store on Monroe and walk over to speak to someone in customer service they tell me "There is nothing we can do here." They reprint me a receipt from my purchase date write a corporate number for me to call and get it worked out that way because they can't help in anyway shape or form. So I call this number and the lady is throwing all of these insane things at me not listening to me so I can explain its supposed to be 10% not 5% and she was saying I was never signed up for this promo by the sales associate. Even though I explained my sales associate at the store told me I was getting it because this was the promotion I picked. I walk back over to customer service at the Best Buy store and their coward manager Jess (short young woman with dark brown hair in a ponytail) lets this lovely young man John talk me through my problem and you could tell he was stressed and I tried to make sure he knew I wasn't mad at him just the fact that I was upset with the lack of accountability from Best Buy/Corporate. The least Jess the "manager" could have done was come explain to me why all of this was happening to me and why I wasn't going to receive my points. I thought that was a very pathetic act as a manager of a store who is representing the company. I have been a loyal Best Buy customer and I have spent A LOT of money in your store.
