Terrible experience. Bought a new $1700 refrigerator. The day they delivered, the doors were not aligned by 1/2" Sent the delivery guys back out days later, they could not fix or adjust. More days later that they sent a repair tech with an attitude. He dragged mud & water all over our foyer wood floor & kitchen tiles from his shoes. Without checking anything, he began to berate my wife which I overheard in the next room. He wanted her to get a piece of long wood to place behind the wall and fridge as a solution. The fridge has adjustable feet. I checked the tile floor in all directions and everything was level. He then told both of us, "This is how this is going to go." I then told him "This is the way it's going to go!" I told him to get out of our house after being abusive to both of use. We called AC to let them know what just happened & request another service tech. They refused. We noticed the fridge was not cooling below 40. I adjusted temp to the lowest setting of 33/freezer 0. Still could not get it below 40. We paid an additional $209 for 5 yr warranty from AC. DO NOT believe you will get this $$$ back if you don't use it. They lied several years ago for one we bought. They made an excuse they had changed insurance companies and could no longer honor being refunded. AC Mgr Mike Kelly called and got nasty with me and stated they would not replace nor send someone out to fix these two problems. He told me to get a lawyer. Nice. Steer clear of this place. Look at their reviews. Update: It's unfortunate that this business wastes so much time to lie and make excuses instead of spending a few minutes taking care of customers. I'm sorry your incompetent tech did not have time to put a 2x4 behind the fridge as a fix like he insisted on, without even looking at the problem. Please state what your tech was going to do about the problem. All during his stay he would not even look at the two different length levels we tried to get him to use. What expert tool did he use to determine that a piece of wood needed to be placed behind the fridge and wall? NOTHING. How did he check the floor for being level? He didn't. We did and tried to show him the floor was perfectly level. He did NOTHING but berate my wife and spew nonsense. As a retired IT Manager of 33 years, I have a lot of technical background and can tell when I am talking to an uneducated person who blows BS. You sent three people out and all could not even correct this defective fridge. Three "experts" from your company. Have your expert techs read the manual or watched a YouTube video concerning adjusting fridge doors. There is no mention regarding sticking a piece of wood anywhere. No mention of wood at the Manufacturers website. If this tech is the best your company can do, I can see why you have a 1.8 rating on YELP. Fact. I would suggest next time your expert and probably not-certified tech look around for cameras. They are everywhere today. And cameras don't lie like you do. Sorry if your adult tech got butt hurt from getting words thrown back at him as he did first. If you check under Freedom of Speech, a property owner determines what speech rules on their property and has the right to kick anyone out that they deem necessary. The back wheel assembles and rear side panels are bowed/damaged from being dropped. I guess the 3 techs sent out by AC aren't as great as their Manager states they are. Frigidaire is replacing the whole unit! OMG! Say it isn't so Appliance Center! You and your staff failed miserably in customer support and technical service. I'm positive you will deny everything instead of doing the right thing and calling me and apologizing how rude three Managers and three techs treated my wife and myself. I moved to NW Ohio in 2018. Shortly after, I called the Appliance Center and their technician came and changed the compressor on my fridge. I was happy with that service. In 2021, I remodeled my kitchen and bought my kitchen from their Maumee location. This time, they kept changing delivery dates and caused long delays in my project. I was mad but tried to be understanding given the pandemic. In 2025, the touch panel of the microwave oven they had sold me stopped working. I called them and explained the problem. They sent out a technician whose diagnosis after two minutes was (and I quote directly) "Touch panel failure". Duh! He then spent about 10 minutes on his computer and told us the part was not showing available and that we had to get a new unit. He did not take the microwave oven out of the cabinet, did not check whether the power was plugged in, did not open the back plate and look inside. He did nothing but try to use the touch panel. They he charged us $128.22 and left. Since I was busy at the time and had the old microwave that I could use temporarily, I postponed fixing the issue. Last week, I removed the microwave from the cabinet, opened the backplate and (after reviewing the user manual and watching a bunch of DYI videos on YouTube) figured that the internal fuse was blown. So I called GE parts hotline and ordered a new fused directly from the brand. After replacing the blown fuse, the touch panel lit up and the microwave oven started working. What bothered me was the fact that the technician had no interest in finding the cause of the touch panel failure and moved too quickly to advising us to order a new oven through them. Having fixed the problem myself, I called them up and asked to speak to the service department manager. I tried to explain everything chronologically but the manager was impatient, cut me off multiple times, and defended the technician's actions. He basically shut me down. I called a second time yesterday, hoping to talk to someone who cares about the Appliance Center's image, like the owners of the business. I was again routed to the service department manager, who repeated his earlier response. Not only the technician didn't do their job right for the price we were charged, but the manager was indifferent and uninterested in the experience that I, as a loyal customer, was trying to share with them. They lost me as a customer forever. I hope those reading my review will exercise caution when calling the Appliance Center for repair services. read more

In early August I purchased a new couch. Everything went as well as expected as far as sales go. The delivery was not very acceptable. Although the gentleman delivering the couch were friendly, they had no clue on how to remove the back off the couch, even though the directions were still attached to the arm of the couch when they took it off the truck. They literally crammed it through my door frame and if they had removed the backs off it would have fit very smoothly. This I know from personal experience. Then when they located the spot of placement they lowered to down to about 6 inches off the floor and dropped it intentionally. I just had my new hardwood floors installed the previous week. I bought a LG refrigerator 2 years ago, the compressor went out already! Appliance center never tells customers they don't service LG, so had to wait for their repair guy to diagnose it because LG wanted $300 flat rate and who knows when they could get there, so AC nice guy, came diagnosed, said he would contact LG to send their service guy with the part and it would take 7 to 10 days, I finally called LG following wed, they had no "ticket" , call AC, they had to call again and get the appointment which is another 5 days!!!!! 2 weeks of no refrigerator, I'm not Amish for God's sake! We will never purchase from Appliance Center again! We gave our measurements for a refrigerator to the sales person, directed us to order the wrong size refrigerator. We were told 6 weeks before being delivered. It took 8 weeks, after I had to call and ask the status, it magically appeared in the warehouse. The delivery guys showed up (who were absolutely awesome!), figured out the fridge was too big to fit in our space. They didn't unbox or unload the new one, returned it to the warehouse. We were charged a $375 return fee, had to reorder the appropriate size fridge, and charged a second delivery fee for the more expensive size fridge (which was smaller). There was absolutely NO customer service from the manager. Even Lowe's and Home Depot waive the delivery fee, and compensate for any issues. Never again. read more

We purchased a very expensive, top shelf mattress there ($1800) 3 years ago. It has a 10 year warranty. Within 6 months the mattress started to bow outwards when sleeping on it. This occurred on both sides of the mattress. Finally had enough and reached out to the service department. Everything was fine setting up an appointment to have it looked at until I could not locate the mattress tag. I never was informed by the sales staff, either in person or in the paperwork that the tag had to be on it to validate the warranty. Unbelievable. I have purchased a lot of items from here in the past but will never do it again. Buyer beware of their lack of respect for its costumers and knowledge of the items they sell. read more

We recently purchased a new washer and dryer from Appliance Center in Maumee. We were greeted immediately upon entering the store and helped with good information, suggestions and examples by our salesman. After deciding the brand and models we wanted, we went to the billing department and were assisted with ease. Delivery date and installation was scheduled quicker than we thought would be possible. We live in a rural area and appreciated that delivery was not a problem. Previous to the day of the delivery we were called by the installers and given a window of time which they would come out. The installers were very punctual and removed our old appliances and brought in the new ones. They seemed to do that job effortlessly and even made sure to put pads down in the kitchen since the weather was nasty and they needed to go in our basement. The installers had no problems with the hookups although the dryer vent kit we purchased was smaller than needed so our old one was cleaned and used. We told them that would be acceptable. We were reimbursed for the dryer vent kit. I will be recommending Appliance Center and doing more shopping there. By the way, I saw some beautiful furniture on the floor so I will definitely be going back soon. read more

Once they found the right person for me to deal with the process went quickly and smoothly. I had a pedestal installed under a new washing machine. The installers damaged a tile on my brand new floor. No one has reached out to me to make things right. I have had 3 text messages with the salesman who forward my issues on to the appropriate area for resolution. I was to get a phone call from them but never did. I had another text from sales trying to expedite contact but haven't heard from the responsible representative. Service is no good. read more

My parents bought a refrigerator in May. The delivery guys were great. Several days later my parents noticed the door and drawer had some manufacturing defects. We were told that all these warranty issues go to the manufacturing company. We called Whirlpool and were told we had to go through a third-party service business (this 3rd party company has been great in getting us somewhere). The new door arrived with the same issue. Now we are told that defects on cosmetics are only valid for 30 days. The service company is going to at least come out and fix the seals. I didn't shop Appliance Center at all for the Kitchen Aid appliances I purchased from them because they seemed (from their commercials) to be a turnkey white glove supplier of premium appliances. I could not have been more wrong as they are the worst company, I have ever purchased products from. I purchased a 4 ft cook top, Industrial Range Hood, 2 convections ovens, and a warming drawer. I also purchased premium Kitchen cabinets from them too. It's been a comedy of errors from this company (Too many to list here) culminating in the damage of my 2-day old floors during the delivery of my appliances 1.5 years go. Yes, you read that right it's been 1.5 years since they damaged and agreed to repair the flooring. It's been delay after delay without any real explanation as to why. The employee managing the process doesn't return texts messages or phone calls and If I want to get a status update, I must go to the location. He was supposed to be senior contact at the company, but his only function is sales and sales only. The company has made promise after promise and not honored them. I have left several messages for the local owners and not received one phone call from them either. All companies and people make mistakes--myself included. It's not that you make mistakes it's how you fix it afterwards. This company is horrendous in its service delivery, and I am truly sorry I purchased anything from them. We ordered all new kitchen appliance, washer/dryer, table/chairs and a side table In March. Almost everything came in dented busted or needed to be reordered. the buffet table was so bad it looked like it was dropped on the side, the overhead range was dented in throughout the whole bottom. The table and chair legs were not completely painted. They we delivered in July and still no resolution. The sales person was great and all the delivery guys were great, minus one. Who scratched up my new floor from sliding the buffet table before putting the legs on and there was a nail sticking out on the underside. At first they only offered half of the repair cost, I had to argue with them to get the full amount. Still waiting for satisfaction on the table issue. service department is horrible, no one calls you back, Jewel is the worst- says she called when she doesn't. also make note if anything is hard wired in ( overhead range/ dishwasher) then it is invoiced separate, which we found out AFTER we went in and told them we wanted to pay it in full -then was surprised with yet another $600 invoice right before Christmas. Also still waiting on resolution on dishwasher with mis aligned door, came out to adjust twice then was told we needed to contact GE if they didn't contact us. Trying to get ahold of them but with holidays and the run around we have no resolution yet. I went to the maumee store to buy a grill. I had to walk 3 laps around the showroom before I could find anyone to help me. After paying I was told I had to drive to the South St warehouse to pick up the grill. The warehouse is a good 10-12 minute drive in the other direction from where I live. You have to call a number to get let in the gate and it took 20 minutes before anyone came out and helped me. I won't be going back to Appliance Center. read more

We ordered a bed from Appliance Center in MAUMEE in Oct., 2020. We were told it would arrive in less than 30 days. Finally received the bed in late Dec. It had a defective footboard, with a stock number written across it in black permanent marker. They said they would give us a replacement within two weeks. Did not issue a refund. Put the bill in dispute until we got the replacement. At the beginning of Feb., they said they had the replacement in order to close the dispute. They do not have the replacement. They never did. Be careful doing business with this company. Their reputation as a reliable local company is not what it used to be. The general manager is impossible to work with. I bought $1200 Bosch dishwasher that ended up, flooding my basement for what we believe to be a "bent" pan. trying to work with appliance center I was blamed for the install and I was blamed for the way I pulled it out in panic because of the water pouring through my ceiling. We had our dryer for 4 years never had a problem then my dryer went out. Called and waited a week and half to have them come out . The first day they were suppose to come out they went to the wrong address and offered me 25$ for the inconvenience and couldn't come til the next day. They came the next day and fixed it well three days later it stopped working again same problem. Now they won't come out and fix it smh they said I would have to pay for it . I would not use them for appliance service. My washer is under a 5 year warrantee and and called service they told me I would have to pay a service charge of $99. Never really write reviews but my blood is boiling right now and this is the only repercussion I can take since my problem was not resolved by staff or manager at Appliance Center. I bought expensive appliances for a house I am renovating. Took awhile to get them installed which was by a professional. Weird thing #1 - I bought the floor model stove at a discount since it was on a long back order. Stove is delivered out of box (installed incorrectly as the handle was put on over blue plastic, then plastic ripped off, leaving pieces sticking out) which is expected. The dishwasher and microwave out of box as well but fridge left in box. Dishwasher and microwave also have blue plastic syndrome. Plug in microwave and the metal on plug literary melted and a giant black smoke mark barked up my wall. Spent hours of my time and paid others to see what I did wrong. The answer was nothing... I got a bad microwave. Returned and waiting for a new one. Go to use dishwasher and I thought, how nice, it is super silent. Opened up and steam was coming out. Wow this is nice. After cycle realize dishes aren't so clean and the detergent pod is laying on bottom. Pull out, see water going in, going out, but never a washing cycle. Call AC and service person says can only send repair person and she cannot authorize exchange. Say can I talk to a Manager or someone who can? Hold forever with annoying commercial playing over and over with the jingle in the background. She comes back and says she cannot get one free but I will go on a list and be called... or go back on hold... God NO! That music and screaming about their specials. After an hour I call back. Service person puts me on hold again for the same length of time but chose, each time, to use the word "brief" which upset me even more. So, I am getting angry. She tells me to call back and choose a different extension to see if someone can get me manager as she cannot. Um, crazy. I did this with another long wait but more interesting is that I told the service person my blue plastic theory and asked if she could please tell me if all the appliances sold as new were actually new. She told me that she could see pictures of them taken by delivery people so yes. I said how does that tell you they are new? Is there a different method from pictures? She said yep and went down the list explaining the blue plastic theory proved correct and I was delivered floor models. Talk to manager finally and he says no exchange... same as the first person. I asked if he thought it was moral to sell something as new when it is not. He said it is new. I said nope, a floor model, that does not work. He said it was never hooked up. I asked if he could promise me that it was never bumped by someone, hit with vacuum, etc... He said no. I asked why couldn't he put this one back into the display and give me a new one. He said it does not work. I said who cares? You just told me it is never hooked up. He said how do you expect me to sell a broken dishwasher to someone. I explained that he did it to me. Anyway, so he went on about protocol, repeating the same thing over and over at such a pace that I could not get a word in until I asked him to please stop talking. I said do the service but I will no longer shop there or do the exchange a keep a customer. He went with repair and needed to put me on hold. Again, long wait. Guess who answers, the first person I talked to... but this time her attitude has changed as you could see over the phone her excitement that I was back to her and doing what she initially suggested. I used to deliver appliances for this place. We took a lot of care when we delivered. It is no longer free, at my last house the delivery people did not remove shipping rod in washer so it never ran right after I tried to start (don't know why I did not check), now the above, and to top it off I am wasting my Saturday typing this because I do not know what else to do. RUN! Customer service is the very worst at this company. I ordered a couch and love seat from them on 12/03/20 and was told because of COVID delivery could be up to 16 weeks, which I agreed to. Customer service is EXTREMELY POOR, once the order is placed and money was received I felt like I was on my own... Was told 14 to sixteen weeks for delivery it was actually 24 weeks and 2 days. Appliance center had my order for a week before it was delivered. I was told on 3/29 that it would be in production the week of 4/8 and be delivered the following week so I donated my furniture. I then asked for an update and was told it was in transit on 4/29, checking yet again on 5/6 I was told that day by my salesperson "I can only go by what Heather tells me. I have no other info. from anyone. I check my orders everyday.... sometimes twice a day." So I reached out to Decor-Rest, the manufacturer they were WONDERFUL to talk with on 5/6, I was told my order had shipped that day and should be received at your receiving dock on 5/7. I then informed the people (that sometimes check orders status twice a day) what I found out. It was finally received a week later to my residence after 7 weeks with no furniture in my living room. I was also told that someone from the AC Team would reach out to me within a week to discuss the issues. I was told that on 05/31/21, guess what...STILL WAITING. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM AGAIN AND I CERTAINLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. One star because I can't post with ZERO stars. read more

I purchased over 1800 square feet of flooring in December. January 26 the installation began. The installation stopped on January 27 when the installation crew found that the Shaw flooring was slightly wider on one end which didn't allow the floor to be completed without a transition which I stated I did not want. Thus the reason we were replacing the entire flooring in the house. No Appliance Center's fault, but how they handled it was poor. Our salesman did more to remedy the problem than the flooring installation manager"John" who's last name wasn't provided. 2 phone calls from this guy in 3 months. I purchase a Tempur-Pedicure mattress and frame from " Authorized Dealer" that the salesperson said if not satisfied during "90 Night Trial" we could return or exchange for different mattress that would fit us better. We go back to showroom and asked to exchange mattress for softer mattress, so they said we would have to call Tempur- Pedic, I called them and was told the Appliance center is not a "Flagship," store and no 90-Night Trial would be honored. Recently purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer from Appliance Center. The appliances were on sale with a great price that also supposedly included rebates from Whirlpool as well as Toledo Edison, and included free delivery of the appliances. The delivery was a "nightmare". After the washer was installed the machine had a very serious vibration during the spin cycle. Contacted Whirlpool on several occasions and finally a warranty service call was authorized. Household Centralized Service came and determined that the washer was not installed properly. At the time of purchase the salesman informed me that the connection of the gas dryer could not be completed by the installers because of liability issues and that the installers would supervise while I connected the dryer. However, upon delivery the installers would not assist in any manner. Consequently, had to hire a journeyman pipe fitter to insure proper installation of the dryer. After submitting the necessary paperwork to Whirlpool for the rebate a postcard was received that indicated that the purchase does not qualify for a rebate with the form supplied by Appliance Center. Contacted the store manager by email, and finally received an email on April 16th from the store manager that indicated that the store "team" would get on the matter right away. Also, was informed that I would be contacted with a resolution to the problem by the beginning of the week. However, I have yet to receive a response. It is interesting to note that prior to the purchase the Whirlpool washer and dryer in the showroom the washer and dryer were labeled with rebates from Whirlpool and Toledo Edison for the purchase. I guess I can presume that the appliances in question were nothing but a "bait and switch" tactic to lure customers to purchase the appliances. The Appliance Center "team" nor the store manager have not followed up on the rebate issue. Not only has the rebate problem been issue but the installation of the washer as well as the dryer was another "nightmare" as indicated in the above comments. Appliance Center (AC) Maumee OH Warrantee reimbursement program is really looking like a scam. We purchased a TV and the AC sales explained and sold us the extended warrantee for the TV. The idea is if you don't use the TV warrantee in the period you get a store credit for the amount of the warrantee. Well we didn't use the warrantee, no issues with the TV. I have it documented that AC received our request for the warrantee reimbursement/store credit form on January 2 2021. Multiple calls to AC have produced no results except for wasted time after waiting 3.5 months. This has to be one of the dumbest choices on their part. It's a store credit; What do you think the chances are that, assuming I ever get the credit, that I am going to walk out of AC in the future just spending enough money that the net credit is $0? Seriously, the object of the credit is to get customers back in the store. Anyways, don't bother with the extended credit from AC they just don't deliver. read more

I purchased a new GE dishwasher to replace the older but working Frigidaire dishwasher I have now. I also opted to have Appliance install the dishwasher. The installer came out and let me know that he could not install my the GE because I needed upgraded electrical done. I asked him to just put back in the Frigidaire until I could research the electrical issue further. As soon as the installer left I started the dishwasher to make sure everything was working. It was not. Water was no longer being pulled through to run the wash cycle. I called the installer on his cell and he said it should work he did turn the water back on. I was like okay I will try later. I had to leave for dinner and bingo with friends. When I came home later that night my kitchen floor had standing water and it was even running into my dining room including dripping through the floor into my basement. I was able to run the dishwasher to get the water to drain, clean up the water and called a different appliance service company to see if anything could be repaired and quote electrical. The cost to repair the water leak and the seal again was almost as much as a new dishwasher. I was also informed I did not need any new electrical work. Called Appliance Center back and explained this all to the service manger, Brian/B.K., he sent another installer out. The second installer also said I need electrical work and now my water pipe is calcified and should not be leaking or even working. Even though I made him wait to see the leaking. He could not explain it. He said he was just an installer not a plumber. Then I went to Appliance Center in person and spoke with John in Sales and explained all this again. John told me he had pictures from the installer that proved I needed electrical work and that's all he had to go off. I explained at this point I was concerned with all the leaking and damage to my floor and carpet. John basically told me that was my problem and they could deliver the new dishwasher once I paid for the electrical work and/or plumbing issue. I was furious and said no I would like to return the dishwasher and run far far away from Appliance Center. Low and behold as I was leaving in walked one of the owners. I do not remember his name but recognized him from the commercials. I stopped and explained all of this to him. He said this was unacceptable and he would set up a conference call between him, myself, service and installation to get this resolved. Well the only call back I ever received was from the service manager, B.K., who said how can I prove my Frigidaire was working and that it was not leaking before they came out. Did I have pictures? Needless to say doing local business with them will not happen and gives the rest of the local business owners a bad name. I now have a broken dishwasher, water damage to my dining room and kitchen floors. Lost vacation time to be there and money out of my pocket for a different service company. After ordering what they told me was the best furniture they sell and spending the most money I have ever spent. The First delivery both the couch and love seat had issues. They leave the two recliners and take back the couch and loveseat. The second delivery the love seat was fine and the couch was damaged. Once again the couch goes back, The third delivery they brought the couch. 20 minutes after they left while moving it and making about 2 inches and the fabric on the does not line up. I called the store they said all they could do is send a repair man. The repair man came out and told me he could not fix it. The manufacture had assembled it wrong. I called the store the next day spoke to the Manager told him I would like the couch replaced and was told Flexsteel wanted another repair man to come out. I told him this would not work. Order me another couch or give me a refund on all I bought. I was told repair man or nothing. I then got a call form the stores GM. Let me stress the GM in charge of the whole operation the following common sense. I told him the whole story. His response was they would not replace the couch I would need to have a repair man fix it or they would come pick up just the couch and give me credit for jus the couch and we would be done. I Told him I ordered this as a matching set what good is the rest of the set if I am stuck with no couch and ask for credit on all. The GM told me no way just a credit for the couch is all you get as the other furniture has been sat on. What would a customer do with with a matching set and a different couch? SO BECAUSE APPLIANCE CENTER CAN'T SUPPLY GOOD PRODUCT IN A TIMELY MANNER NO REFUND. Hate to see what you get if you don't order the best. If you don't mind 12 hours waiting on furniture deliveries and repairmen and expecting repaired furniture instead of new use the Bussiness. read more

I first went to the Outlet store and the three male employees ignored me. Finally I hunted them down and had to get them to stop talking to each other to pay attention to me. They were very rude. I would NEVER buy from them. If this review was only from them, it would be a one star. Next I went over to the regular store. All the associates were in the kitchen section with none in the couches. However, the one who helped us was WONDERFUL! If I ever buy anything from this store I would ask for her every time. Super respectful, not pushy. read more
