After countless requests, Apple elevator still refuse to provide us with invoices or a record of what they have done over the past years. This company say there is no record of what maintenance or repairs have been done over the past years for the building. They just say they don't do that.. This is surely an illegal practice, or at least, unethical. They simply will not validate what they have supposedly been doing to be charging so much every month. Other elevator companies we use keep a log in the elevator room. Suggest you do your homework on these people before you engage them. We have found their practices, cost and customer service completely unacceptable. read more

ZERO stars! We lost a big tenant because Apple stalled for months and then decided they were "too busy" to complete a job they had committed to which screwed the timeline to get the lift permitted in time for occupancy! Lois the "owner" is condescending, unresponsive and arrogant. This company claimed they would handle various upgrades on a dated passenger lift in a building we manage. Initially they were great. Teresa was great and knowledgable and always quick to dispatch Frank their service tech who was also extremely professional and knowledgeable a couple times. Apple elevator was paid for every invoice and estimate we were sent and stated that they could handle the itemized list from the state to bring the lift back in to operation. The company then proceeded to flake for 4 months straight! Staff was forced to make polite excuses each time I called and eventually I was told they were too busy too take the job. I understand being to busy to take a job but not after committing to it, performing it in part, and then delaying the client for months. Pathetic behavior and attitude from Lois! I hope frank goes and starts his own business. read more

THE RUDEST PERSON I HAVE EVER SPOKEN WITH IN MY LIFE! Made me cry at work...and I don't cry. Frank from the San Francisco branch was such a complete jerk! I called them at the hotel I work at so that they can fix the elevator. It was stuck on the 7th floor and elevators need to be running 24/7 at a hotel. Then I figured out how to fix it on my own so I called back as soon as possible to cancel and this is Frank's exact words to me: "Uh huh well that's great. So I'm still charging you $170 for the phone call. Thank you for waking me up (10pm), making me get in my car for nothing. You will have a wonderful career as an elevator mechanic. Good night." He really should be fired. His customer service is disastrous and I am going to complain to the Better Business Bureau about this. Screw you, Frank. read more

NOT a relationship friendly elevator company, a service rep came out TWICE to bill me for the SAME job which he didn't fix the first time and only gave me a 'shrug'... and so did the AR person after I called their main office. read more

These guys service a lot of elevators in different buildings that I manage and are very reliable and efficient. They know what they're doing and get the job done even if it requires last minute same day service. read more

If I would be able to give them thumbs down I would. The service person Frank is a friendly person but wait until you call the office and speak with Thereasa OMG RUN. She is the most undelightful person to deal with. I thought the receptionist that dealt with her in the past were joking or too wimpy but when I had to call her on issues she was the most unfriendly and most RUDE person I have ever dealt with. If she was answering our clients the way she did she would have been long gone. We always need to shop around when it come to repair costs and when asked if she could match she just wouldn't. There were times that they were called out to repair our elevator and it only worked for a few hours after they left and we were never informed that their repairs were not completed and parts were ordered without our consent. We have a high volume of elderly people on our building and this was a big inconvenience but they just said, "well, it will get repaired once we get the part." Quoting what another reviewer stated "It is my opinion that there are companies out there that only think of customers as feed and have lost complete respect for their trade and profession." Well Apple is one of those companies they really careless if they loose a customer. If you're looking for a new elevator company I would think twice before calling them. read more

Love this company! Extremely knowledgeable staff, quick to get the job done, and great customer service. Frank is exceptionally skilled, helpful, kind (and hilarious as well - bonus!), and Thereasa is extraordinarily responsive & on top of things, whether it's service calls, account issues, billing - she'll get it handled! I had to search about thee years ago to find a new elevator repair and maintanance co. I had gone through 2 local co. over a period of 5 years where the maintenance was declining and the cost were skyrocketing. I called 6 co and had interviews with 5 reps on site. It was a sad and hopeless process until the field rep for apple showed up. I was told that the building needed a new piston and operator costing in the range of $80K by my current service co at the time and 3 others that submitted proposals. When Frank from Apple took a look he told me that he maintained many cars of this era and much older. He was proud to say that enjoyed his job and had all the cars working on his route. He has kept his word and strives to please his costumers. Other than a fractional initial repair the car has been in good service and Frank has been there to do a good job! I have transferred 2 more buildings to Apple over the last month. It is my opinion that there are co out there that only think of customers as feed and have lost complete respect for their trade and profession. I work for a property management company and they service all of my buildings.They are dependable and always available to service the same day. They also work after hours and respond very quickly when there are prople trapped in elevators. So quickly, that they get there before the fireman come with their axes which may cause even more damage! Theresa, the office manager is who I deal with the most and she is great! Always very helpful and informative about what is going on with my elevators. read more

Apple Elevator is refusing to correct issues on a 33 unit building in Oakland and the state inspector has shut down the elevator leaving us without. Thee are senior citizens in the building. They were good 4 years ago, but have been sliding downhill of late, as evidenced by some recent reviews here. Yelp classified another review by a tenant on this issue as "not recommended" and I'm wondering why they did that? I wonder if this one will get posted? I would think consumers need to know when licensed companies are flouting the law and not doing the job they're being paid for! read more

Yesterday, 11/19/14, the State Inspector shut down the elevator in our apartment building because this company filed what the inspector called a "fraudulent" report. While the infractions were minor; not replacing two light bulbs above and below the elevator, and not removing leaves from the elevator pit, it was still shut down. The woman answering the phone at Apple Elevator denies any wrong-doing and suggests we take the matter up with the landlord. The landlord has in his hand the so-called fraudulent report. The building supervisor has seen the photos taken by the inspector and agrees with the inspector. The representative at Apple Elevator denies any wrong-doing and in the meantime we are without elevator service. I'm 61 years old. I shouldn't have to put up with this because somebody didn't do their job and isn't willing to own up to it and make it right. You call this customer service? read more
