So my phone was under AppleCare I was told on the phone to come down to the Apple Store to the main and they replace my phone come down to that I come down to the Apple Store at the domain I work with a little dweeb who has no customer service at all and just tells me I'm sorry these options you have either except it or screw off so of course I'm held ransom I come down there and they say oh we don't replace phones anymore we just worked on them we just fix him but guess what we don't have the part to fix your phone so you can will call you let you know so I just have tocome back home waste $10 in gas and the part will be in 3 to 5 days I just find it unacceptable. read more

I went into apple yesterday about 10:45am because I had a cracked camera. They said they'd be able to just fix the camera, but when I came back an hour later to pick it up, they issued me an entire new iphone 12 for only $99 with apple care! when I left, I sat at a starbucks & tried to set up my phone by myself but it wasn't letting me because of an abnormal problem with my old SIM card (it wasn't receiving signal), so I had to go back. at first it felt like an inconvenience because it was super busy & 12pm by then, but it turned out to be such a great experience because of an employee named mark (I forget his last name, but it starts with a P, & he has the coolest british accent). (: we stood together for about 45 minutes as we had trouble confirming my identity so tmobile could help us unlock my phone through an electrical SIM card, but despite how time consuming it was, he called tmobile for me, let me call my parents, & did this back & forth a few times until I was able to confirm my identity (my parents are the account holders which is why it was so tough -- I didn't know the security question answers & they were out of town!). despite all of this, he was so patient & kind, truly & diligently working to get me out of there quick, certain that my new phone will be working. we joked around, talked about our careers & just got to know each other a little bit. it ended with a fist bump & a perfectly set up new phone. it was such a wholesome & successful time. I truly appreciate employees who treat you like a friend & a priority, & that is what mark did for me. This store needs stronger staff. Very disorganized and slow for large crowds and some staff are downright rude and unhelpful. I came to this store on a Sunday and left after my bad experience and returned on Monday to find a better situation but still employees are slow and not interested much in helping customers or speeding things along to get to those of us waiting in line. On top of that there are many staff standing around not helping customers. I recently edited my review which was much worse and removed some of the details about my visit on Sunday and moved it up one star since the situation had slightly improved the next day but it's still pretty bad overall. read more

Keaton helped my boyfriend, Dylan update his iPhone 6s from iOS 10 to 13.1. We were super nervous about coming in since it always seems kinda like an in over your head, uncomfortable experience. But as soon as we got there everyone was super nice! Mean Aton cleaned my boyfriend's phone for free and was overall super knowledgeable about everything (not only the technology and updates, but the commpany itself). I purchased an iPhone10XR yesterday and I regret it was the Apple store I chose! I am elderly and not a whiz with technology, so I asked for someone very patient and knowledgeable, The man at the door, Venod, assured me that he had 10 years experience and would take good care of me. Selling me the phone was no problem...Of course, I had done my research and knew exactly what I wanted. Transferring the data from my old phone took and hour and a half however! Venod wandered off and two other people started over from scratch, each one saying the previous one had done it incorrectly. Well, I'd like to say that, I left with a working iPhone. Great(because that's really what I came in for. Success. I'm typing from it now, in fact). And also I am easily bamboozled by shiny things because I bought a phone for about $1000 today... Anyway, this is sort of an anti-shout out, if you will, to the woman who originally helped me first pick out a car charger. I don't remember her name but she was older and very rude at first. For some reason, apple sells two options for charging in the car--a cigarette lighter adapter thing (without a cord that plugs into a phone) and a two part set that comes with the adapter and the cord. They are the same price. Not sure why that is. Seems a bit illogical. This woman seemed to keep discussing these two options in a verbose and exhaustive way and was talking about getting one from the back (though there were several on the display shelf) after I had already decided I for sure needed a complete car charging situation so I attempted to simplify things by just being like, "yes, great, can I buy that one," pointing to the one with the cord." And she looked at me like I was an idiot and started to talk in a super exaggeratedly slow, condescending voice about these two options again not understanding that I just wanted to buy what I have quickly and correctly assessed that I need and move on. The man who ended up talking to me about phones was patient and nice enough. Somehow I just get a weird vibe from that store in general. The Apple store intimidates me to begin with and I really don't enjoy being spoken down to. read more

So on a Friday night my BFF's rental breaks down south of Buda, I'm zipping on I35 looking for her because the tow truck is taking forever, and approximately seven minutes away I managed to put my iPhone in a cup of Colombia Supremo and promptly lose all communication. She's now worried I've been in a wreck, I'm worried that she's worried, and it took me twenty-nine more minutes to find her after driving up and down one particular dark stretch of I35. It all ended well, and I've discovered I can sound like a stuttering chipmunk when I start shrieking "Fu*k, fu*k, fu*k, fu*k, fu*k." The point of this is yeah, the Domain Apple Store is jammed packed on Saturdays, I had to wait past my 12:40 reso time, but I screwed up my phone, and they replaced & restored it from the iCloud for $85. If I didn't have Apple Care, it would have been around $275. All I really applecare about are my photos and text messages, and as far as I can tell, the Apple people here at the Apple Store did exactly what they're supposed to do, cheerfully, efficiently, and effectively. All things considered, I'm not sure why that isn't as good as it gets. read more

My gaydar went off like a MF riot in L.A. during the Rodney King trials but that is irrelevant as none of the employees were born as of 1992. Relevance is everything at the Apple store. As quickly as you fall in lust with your new toy/tool, you will find a faster, slicker, silverer, whiterer, flatter, smarter toy/tool has replaced it in less than a year's time. We were met at the entry area by a young manboi wearing a turquoise Apple shirt, girljeans with one inch of crotchzipper, and a bright orange tan that you can only attain by not spending any time in the sun. Like a well-trained host at a high-end restaurant, Maitre D' Apple expertly recreated every word out of our mouths and then guided us to the back of the store where he said he would get a Genius to talk with us about returning our iPhones. Hmmm. No slight there. The next encounter goes something like this: "Why do you want to return your iPhone?" - Genius "Well, I did some research online and talked with a guy at AT&T and it looks like there will be another iPhone coming out in a month, so we will return our iPhones now and hobble along with a temporary phone until then." - My Sweetie "Hahaha. Steve Jobs would never, ever do that." - G "Are you saying that you can think like Steve Jobs?" - MS "Yes, I can, and he would never do that just 7 months after the iPhone debuted. Market research shows that it is not a good financial plan to come out with another iPhone so soon." - G "So you are saying that you know what Steve Jobs is thinking?" - MS "Yes. But I do not know what the people who think for Steve Jobs are thinking, so my information is not 100% reliable." - G, pleased with himself and obviously earning his Genius title "So you are not 100% sure that Apple is NOT coming out with a new iPhone in a month??" - MS utilizing brilliant double negative speak, maybe trying to trip him up. We looked at Blackberries but they were not so easy to just pick up and use right out of the box..." -MS stepping into his lair. "We, errr, I am returning my phone because we are within our 14 day window to return it free of charge but apparently not free of a barrage of sales questions. Let's start with the instructions on the location. From the website: The store is located in the south end of the Domain. No. No it is not. Dillards is in the south end of the Domain. Apple is in the middle. So after squirreling around the Domain for 15 minutes, I finally find someone. Then I have to park four blocks away. I don't think the valet parking folks would be too impressed with my 1995 Cutlass. Though the way it runs, they should be. But back to the situation at hand. I finally find the store and was informed that my appointment was cancelled once I was five minutes late. Like I was going to let that stop me. I explained the problem I was having and that I'd only had my iTouch since Friday. No, make that Saturday because the one I got Friday was defective and had to be returned. (Oh, Walmart on a Saturday morning before Easter. What a joy!) At this point, I've had this thing for five days and I'm still completely lost. I tried to explain things, but we were talking two different languages. "So when you sync to the floogey flomper dunder does the CTSJVMRKDT show the cleeper?" **cheep-cheep** **cheep-cheep** How about this? Let me tell you what I know. Shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes. When I try to download apps, it shows on my iTunes but isn't showing up on the iTouch. Can I connect this thing and show you? Well, no. No, I can't. They don't allow anyone to connect their device because "someone might steal the music off of the store's computers". You are freaking kidding me. So I grit my teeth, get on Mopac and head home, ready to take this thing back a second time and ask for my money back. I call the local store, and first they try to sell me the extended care package. Guess what, Sparky? Done bought it. He wants to get it registered for me. Let's see if I'm keeping this first, shall we? We're back to the fleeper dorfers now, and I have to back him up all the way to page one. Eventually, the problem was resolved. The frustration still stings. So... Get your website directions corrected because it stinks. Let people know you can call before coming in. If someone makes an appointment and describes the problem they're having in your reservation e-mail form, it might be nice if someone read and responded to that e-mail. Keep in mind that not everyone is immersed in MacWorld. If you're going to work with customer service, you have to be prepared for the fact that some customers are Apple Limited. read more

However, your store sucks. Here is the scene: I want a 120gb iPod. I know the color, I have a credit card, I just want to buy the dang thing. I walk in the door and talk to... who? Orange shirt, teal shirt, black shirt, or blue shirt? How the #$% am I supposed to know who does what? I left my Apple Store / Rainbow Bright decoder ring at home. I talk to the person closest to the door and I have to sign up on a list to be helped. WTF, y'all? (Like my Texas version of WTF?) I look around the store and see people trying to catch someone's attention. Their eyes say "please talk to me" but a self-important douche-bag walks by with his co-worker, and I hear chatting about lunch. Oh, hey! I recognize this particular self-important douche-bag from the Barton Creek Mall store. He's the one who tried to up-sell laptop insurance to me 3 times after I said, "no" ( "will it cover the laptop if I drop it" - "nope, only manufacturer defects" - "should I be expecting defects that you won't cover" - "uh...." ) I get it. Your products are cool. They work. They are stylish. Now, figure out a way to speed things up. If someone needs assistance, have them sign up for it and wait. BUT I KNOW WHAT I WANT AND I JUST WANT TO BUY IT!!! Can't you put one stinking register in the back of the store where I can just walk up and get what I want? Are you too cool for speedy service? Saturday is THE day at the Apple Store. Don't be fooled into thinking it's going to be less busy at any time because it's packed ass-to-elbows from open to close. The service there is impeccable though. Not totally sure how they've created this magical kingdom of all the bits and parts and people and ipads talking to each other but we felt like someone was always checking on us, making sure we were doing okay. Granted, I had my computer and was working so I'm pretty happy in that state but I think if I'd just been standing around playing with computers, that would have sufficed. The prices are pretty ridiculous (but aren't all Apple prices?) and I did overhear a customer getting testy about his $900 phone that he couldn't log into but overall, happy with my experience here. read more

After my laptop suddenly died I made an appointment with the genius bar to have them take a look at it the same day. I stopped by the store a couple of hours early and asked if they could take a look at it before the scheduled appointment time and they told me the wait was 20-30 minutes. Given the wait time I decided to walk around some other stores and wait for them to text me when they're ready. They finally texted me to tell me they were ready 2 and a half hours later! It was 15 minutes before the original appointment I scheduled. I had to check in with 5 different people before someone finally told me to have a seat at the bar. I thought I took a seat in the wrong area because it took them an additional 20-30 minutes before I was even greeted. The guy who worked on my laptop had to google how to do all of the restarts. At this point I had lost my patience and just told them to send it off to get fixed. I didn't receive any update until I got a call a couple of days later to tell me that it was ready to pick up. AGAIN. I had to check in with 5-6 different people all holding an iPad before someone pointed in a general direction and told me to have a seat. I had a seat and waited for a long time...again. Paid more than I probably should have and took my laptop and stormed out of there. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. read more

You're better off buying apple products for a 3rd party provider that doesn't strongly enforce a 10% restocking fee for non-defective items. The store is beautiful, although I don't see much of a point for a brick and mortar store that only sells 5 products and is populated by complete idiots that don't even bother to learn about the product they're suppose to be pushing(the just really stand around and tell each other how cool they are cause they work at the apple store). I followed a handsome young genius (his bright blue shirt betrayed his occupation) into the Apple Store at the Domain last Friday, and checked in for my pre-reserved Genius Bar appointment. Kylie checked me in, and I looked over the array of genii, all with names like Jarod, Tyler, Blake and Chase and wondered where the hell all the Johns and Michaels had gone. Seems like a condition of employment to have one of those names. In minutes I was summoned to the bar, and Chase, as it turns out, my genius--the one who had preceded me to the store moments earlier--took my MacBookPro in hand. I explained the "no video" issue, and he whipped out a boot disk labeled "NVIDIA Graphics Failure" plugged it in, booted up and got a recognizable three beep signal or some such, then proclaimed "yes, it's the chip." So Friday afternoon, my laptop was whisked off to Apple Land for a main logic board replacement, to be paid fully by NVIDIA, who was covering all such repairs regardless of warranty status. I thanked the impossibly perky Chase, and braced for laptop withdrawal and a week without portable computing. This morning, bright and early at 9:30am a FedEx guy came to the door bearing my restored laptop in perfect working order. In Friday at Noon, repaired Monday, shipped Tuesday, in my hands again Wednesday. Way to go Apple. And thanks Chase, for making the experience as painless as possible. read more

I have owned a Mac since I started grad school almost 3 years - this isn't my first rodeo. This is the first time I've received such unpleasant customer service. I took my computer in for a silly issue - battery was blown out - by the way don't use a macbook charger on a macbook pro (whodathunkit?). I was assisted by a genius named Leslie, she was awesome and sweet, and extremely patient in explaining to me the battery issue, and other little things going on with it. She asked me to leave it overnight and they would fix it. Perfect! She is the store's saving grace and the only reason it's not a straight up 1 star review. I get a phone call that evening stating that my computer was ready for pick up the next morning (i.e. today). I went and was directed to the back, same as always. A man wearing a red tshirt (with NO apple paraphanelia, not even an ID - pertinent I promise) asks me what I am there for. I say to pick up my computer, and then he goes ok can I see some ID. Jigga wha? I live at the Domain but on the opposite side (think Maggiano's) and it's a nice hike over to the Apple store. I am not a lady of leisure, and have tons of time. But since I wasn't told I needed to bring ID, I just brought my computer bag! I told the individual, well I don't have ID, but I have my hard drive with items with my name, I can tell you my email and phone number and any other information on the computer - my password even. Bastard wouldn't budge. So here I am, once again, without access to my computer for another couple of hours until I have a spare minute, and not be able to work on the thesis. How do I even know HE worked at Apple? I don't. Same principle. He was extremely rude about it, seriously, I get the security measures, but if I can prove 8 different ways to Sunday that it's me (and seriously, I think the only people that can even spell my last name right are my parents!!!) then give me my computer. My visit on Wednesday was NOT the usual Apple experience that I've had in the past. After seeing my PC starting to get slower and slower, I decided to do two unusual things. One, buy a computer BEFORE the old one dies and I can move the data over to the new computer. Two, pay the price premium for an Apple. I thought I'd make my experience as painless as possible by ordering online for store pickup. Well, when I get to the store, it's mobbed. The nice lady at the front, let's call her the door bouncer, tells me it'll be 5-10 minutes before someone will help me. Then another friendly Apple bouncer asks me if I've been helped. Apparently, the first bouncer didn't enter me into their queue. A few minutes after that, Jay appears to help me. Jay seems very frazzled and rushed, asking around me if anyone else is buying or picking up a MacBook Pro. He said if anyone else had bought one, he'd help us all at once. Yay for personal attention. (Sarcasm, y'all.) After we determine that I'm the only one buying a new MacBook Pro at that point, I start to ask him questions about how to migrate my data using Apple's Migration Assistant and he tells me he's never used it and that I shouldn't have the computer set up in the store by him if I'm going to use Migration Assistant. I said I had a couple of more questions and he asks how many questions I have. I decided to limit my question to whether the laptop I purchased already has OS X Maverick. He says he has no way of knowing as it all depends on how long that particular MacBook Pro had been in their stockroom. When I got home, I had issues with Migration Assistant, which I finally got working on my own this morning after reading some online instructions that Jay couldn't find. I also found out that my new computer did not have OS X Maverick. In short, I got rushed and was "helped" by an unfriendly, harried employee with virtually no product knowledge. In other words, I dealt with the Domain's parking headaches and the lines at the Apple Store to be treated the same way I could've been treated at Best Buy or even Wal-Mart. The only reasons I'm not going to one star is that I do like the computer and I've had great experiences in the past here. Apple, y'all can do a lot better. read more

I've been an Apple purchaser for 5 years, I have a Macbook Pro, I've had three iPhones of different generations and recently purchased an iPhone 5 with case AND iPad 2 with case at RETAIL...not from Craigslist etc. I went in earlier this week to the Domain store for help with my recently purchased iPhone 5 (purchased thru AT&T on 3/14/2013) that fell off a chair the height of a small step stool and shattered the screen. I've never had something like this happen, nevertheless less then two months from owning a phone. I walked in hoping someone may be able to replace it, thinking surely something has to be defective as it broke super easy the first time it took a minor tumble. I was approached by a girl, who looked up my Apple Care by my serial # and since I wasn't sure what I had on it, my mind was put at ease that all I had to do was make an appt and the phone would be replaced for $49.95. I came in at 4:40pm and couldn't get an appt until 5:50pm but I decided to wait around so that I could get this taken care of and move on. I come in for my appt at 5:50pm, check in with the guy holding the green ipad. Waited for about 20 minutes until someone could meet with me, assured that all would be worth the hour and a half wait. The guy walks up, spends about two minutes looking at my account the same way the earlier girl did and then proceeds to tell me it's going to cost me another $200 plus $50 for Apple Care Plus. I didn't understand as my expectations were set based on what I was initially told an hour and half earlier. I left incredibly upset with my cracked iPhone in hand, no peace making to be had or honoring what I was told. I have spent SO MUCH time and money at the Apple store and on Apple products. I've always been an advocate for Apple products but I'm not anymore. I will be returning my iPad this weekend along with the case to buy a Kindle. Also, this will be my last iPhone. Why would I want to spend $400 on a phone that just breaks and costs too much to fix. Whatever happened to taking care of customers? Or honoring an employees word, whether she was right or not, she set my expectations and wasted an hour and a half of my day that I'll never get back. read more

My macbook pro went off into the dark-side (aka freezing and then not turning on) as I was working on a 20 page paper. Thankfully, I had saved most of that paper somewhere else and eventually found myself at the apple store trying to bring my dear macbook back to life. Everyone I encountered was helpful, attentive, and guided me in the right direction. While my appointment was running a little late, when the genius bar rep got to me, he calmed me down and explained what was wrong. That night, my computer got a brand new hard-drive and I could pick up my computer the next day. All for the price of nothing! A few suggestions: 1. ALWAYS back up your computer (most people know this, but after talking to some of my fellow students, I was surprised at the number that didn't do this) 2. Make a Genius Bar appointment. This appointment may be running a little late, but be there on time so you can check in. Much better than not having an appointment. 3. BUY APPLE CARE. This saved me at least $200. I bought my laptop 2 1/2 years ago and thanks to apple care my repairs were free. If you're going to buy an expensive, shiny, fancy apple, you might as well spend a little more to have a good warranty. read more

Why do people wait in line (sometimes for days) for a product that, in this economic era, is a "luxury good" more than anything? I start by understanding the sigificance of owning an IPad. Let's break down the fundamental idea(s). A) Does it create (jobs/income) domestically? B) Does it elevate my "get ass" ratio? C) Am I cooler than you? D) Is porn better in HD? E) What is this phenomena that creates such demand? Unfortunately, I cannot answer these questions. What I did do, was order an IPad thru my concierge service. Concierge Service Task #1: Buy IPad Level of difficulty (1 easy - 10 hard): 2 Total wait time @apple store for pick up: 45 mins The store had 20 visible employees. It was "busy" in my opinion. Store layout is very modern. You turn every item over and it clearly states "Designed by Apple in California, assembled in CHINA." I felt bad, as I was waiting, there was a girl in her scrub garb (obviously there for her lunchtime break) to buy an IPhone. She never got help the whole time during my transaction...I think she's still waiting to get help. After I picked up the Ipad, I returned it. read more

I feel like this store is extremely self-righteous. I set a reservation 2 days before i went to the store via apple store app. it was set for 12:30 at the Domain for a Mac service. I got to the store about 5-10 mins before my appointment. And there data base shows i have no appointment? But my phone and emails shown that i have one at that location at that time. but the store refused me service. They said they can't help anybody with out a appointment.... I drove 2 hours to be told " we can't help you " thats a load of CRAP! So i drove another 25 mins to the south austin location. told the supervisor what happen. and i got help at that store in under 5 mins. And my computer was fixed and out the door in 10mins. It looks like all they had to do and hold Option, Command, R, P. 3x and that fixed the problem with my track pad. I don't know about you. but thats good service. The Domain need to get there head out of there butt and treat there paying customers with respect. read more

I went in today to pick up a replacement phone that Apple kept calling me about. the phone to be replaced died exactly 2 months after i bought it - after an update. Fully charged as I left the house - off/dead about 2 hours later and never powered on again. There was a small crack on the bottom corner of the screen - maybe 1 centimeter. Despite a lack of water damage (they opened it up and checked), and the fact that the phone had mysteriously died after an update - the rep, Steven, told me it was unlikely I would get a replacement phone under warranty, despite it crapping out 2 months to the day from when I bought it. Given I use my phone all day every day for work, I asked to just buy the replacement phone on the spot, but was told I had to wait up to 7 days, phoneless, to get my phone assessed by engineers. At that point, I had given up on Apple. Went and bought me a flip phone. $140, battery last three days, chicks dig it - great purchase. Good riddance to a company with terrible customer service and declining product quality, I thought. Much to my surprise, 2 days later, I got a call from an excited Apple Rep who told me that even he was happy to let me know that my phone would be replaced free of charge. What luck! What a company! I was wrong about them, I thought. They ended up calling twice more over the following few days just to remind me that the phone was ready to pickup - and that i'd need a photo ID to claim it. I went in earlier today and asked to get the phone. The rep who came with the phone, Angel, told me that before I got the replacement I would have to turn in my old phone. Confused, I explained that I had given it to them for inspection 10 days prior - he said the notes did not reflect that. He left, then came back to let me know that they'd switcheroo'ed me - the new verdict is that while they recognize my old device was in their possession, i would have to pay for the replacement phone, despite different information on the phone, and a sudden disappearance of the notes in their internal system. Brandy, the store manager(?) came out. Now, I truly loathe the "C" word, but there's no way around it - she was quite Contentious from the moment she approached. She explained: 1) my old phone, which had been inspected by the engineering team, was offsite somewhere - moreover, it is now the property of apple (despite my double confirming at the time of dropoff that I would get a free replacement or get my old phone back), and 2) This was due to some contract I apparently signed, turning the rights to the iPhone (that I owned outright) over to Apple. I asked to see what contract I'd signed to that effect, and they were unable to provide a copy of the signed contract. 3) the only way I was going to walk out of the store with a phone was for me to pay $269 in addition the $450 I paid for the original phone that didn't last through the 60th day of use. I saw a few options - I get a new replacement phone for free, I get my old phone back, or I get some kind of plain English, signed contract that explains that I've given my personal property to Apple. She said that none of the above were possible. I asked about possible recourse - her solution? "I suggest you have your lawyer take it up with Apple Corporate Legal." I confirmed that she recommended I should hire a legal professional to go to bat with the legal division of the largest corporation on Earth. Over a bunk $450 phone that would have been a nice write-off for them. Now, I had more questions at that point, and I couldn't even get through a single one because Brandy cut me off mid-sentence, over and over again, repeating her mantra "I refuse to go around in circles with you." read more

Slow repair, late repair, rude technician making snide remarks about my relationship status, way pricey, lousy value and experience. Apple refuses to rectify the matter with me. I've told them I will not buy their products anymore after being a diehard for 13+ years, and bringing their company dozens of new customers. I have gone here a couple times. Each time I go, I get the worst service ever. They have a bunch of generation Y hipsters who rarely actually know what they are doing and have zero empathy skills. I suggest training them on how to care and then their actual job prior to letting them interface with your customers. When my computer had issues a month or so ago, I brought it in and they managed to make it worse. When they did, they tried to blame it on being just a coincidence that it went down when they decided to play with it rather than take accountability and apologize. On top of that when they had someone try to help fix what they did, management consistently passive-aggressively criticized him for taking too much time on one customer which his time was apparently spent to no avail as what they did was not fixable. It resulted in me wiping the entire thing, losing almost a weeks worth of work and swearing to never go near them again. I have a lot and I mean A LOT of apple products in my apartment. I go back in because after 2 hours on tech support with Time Warner then another 3 hours the following day with them and then apple - we determine that my apple tv is in fact defective after less than a year of owning it and will not connect to the wireless. We set up an appointment - I drive to the domain - they have zero record. Turns out they set it for the wrong day. The only manager on duty is the hipster kid who oozes insincerity with every breath and you can tell is laughing at you when talking to you since life is just too funny and someone who doesn't know tech support at all. I love that their managers are completely untrained in their actual departments. Getting zero service in the time frame needed, I walked out. I will never go to this domain store again. When I need to buy my next computer, apple tv, iPhone - I will go elsewhere. I feel that they need to learn what being customer centric is and hire more empathic customer service reps and then actually train their managers so the manager can take care of any escalations themselves rather than let me see if I can fit you in hours from now even though we messed up... again... read more

I hate the geniuses who works there. I think the job title has inflated their ego so much that they think we have to get down on our knees to beg them to help us. I was there looking for accessory and nobody seems to bother to help. The fat genius who just came out from a nap break was too lazy to show me all the i-Phone cases and nor he showed the interest to help me at all. Really poor retail experience, debacle really. Salesman talked our ear off about irrelevant issues to us, but never the less we said we would like to buy an iPad. Then the paperwork started... After that I was ushered to another line to pay which took 15 minutes only to have my credit card, which was just used next door, declined twice. I was asked to call the credit card but instead I pulled up Amazon and bought an iPad for $10 less in two clicks with my so called declined credit card and walked out. Called the credit card just in case there was a problem and was told that no authorization from Apple came through and that swiping cards from phones was plagued with issues. All told this wasted about 45 minutes of my life. Horrible retail set up and even worse technology. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at an Apple Store Let me say also that ever time I go to the Domain location half of the employees gross me out, they look unkept and that bothers me (hate to sound like a jerk but it's honesty) I will keep this short since I have already wasted enough time on this So I broke my phone, the screen popped out, it's well outside of warranty which I knew but wanted to see if they could simply reseat the screen. So I make my appointment show up and wait....... When the apple person shows up and I show him the phone he looks it over we talk and he takes it back to the techs The guy comes back and says I need a whole new phone they "won't" fix this because the home button fell out After about 5 minutes of me more or less trying to understand how I could walk in with a destroyed screen and they would replace the screen but since a button was gone I needed a whole new phone. Now I get it that they can't put the screen back in but to tell me they won't replace it seemed kind of crazy. So I asked for a manager The manger said they would fix it if I wanted but I should really get a new phone. On top of that she was rude and condescending Bottom line is worst experiment ever at an Apple Store which normally is top notch. read more

This is what to expect if you go here expecting great service. Walk in and be greeted politely. Then tell them the issue with their device. We will take a look at that sir. Oh we cannot cover this without you paying 149 dollars and then pretty much tell you that it's your fault the device is messed up. Crooks so they don't have to replace it for free. Should still be 0. I reviewed another location unfavorable, I think it is just them. So I am waiting while the girls are at the Tea place next door. I being a geek, wander into the Apple store to look at the shiny bobbles. I really don't get it. I played with the iPhone and iTouch... and am staying clear of the Kool-Aid. I do not find them to be any more user friendly than any other similar tech device. I much prefer my WinMo devices I have been using for more than a decade. The only thing I can see the Apple devices are good for is Apps. Not real Apps like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Outlook or anything a person would really need. No after playing with them and seeing the Apps I can say I don't need my phone to Fart, Burp, or produce any other bodily function. So we were looking around for about 30 minute and could not get any Apple staff to help us. I would love to have someone "sell" me on why I should consider drinking the Kool-Aid and get a Mac-Lobotomy. So I will never visit an Apple store again... unless it is a going out of business sale and everything is free... I might be able to pick up a gift for someone I don't like. read more

How can two of the same exact thing be SO DIFFERENT?! At the Domain store, I usually can't get Apple techs off my back so I can just browse all the things I can't have at my leisure. At the Barton Creek store, I could stab myself in the neck with a shard from my broken iPhone and be bleeding out on the floor and no one would take notice. If you want to be able to walk in and get seen in fewer than two hours, if you want to have an appointment that is running fewer than thirty minutes late, or if you just hate the mall and/or people, make the trek up to the Domain. read more

At any given point in the day, this store is jam packed with people. There is no dedicated point of sale, so if you want to buy something you sort of just have to mill around until someone approaches you. Weird retail model, but obviously it works. I waited over an hour to buy a new iMac, but still left the store a happy camper. It didn't used to be this way- it seems like people lined up for the 3g and never left. There's always an iPhone line. read more
