Reasonably priced and burger was really good. Grilled cheese was loaded with cheese. Soup was ok but a little pricey.

The meal was delicious, only problem was it wasn't served hot enough. Needless to say, when we mentioned it to Sherrie, who runs T-Joes & makes sure everything is served to perfection, she brought us steaming hot servings, including plenty for a meal to take home. I would have been happy if she'd just put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Needless to say, the meal was delicious, and the take-home plate was an added bonus heated-up at home the next day... T-Joes is our "to go place" for a good prime rib, steak, shrimp & hamburgers. They also have a nice full bar that serves great drinks. Sherrie & her crew make sure their patrons are happy with their food & service. Great place to gather for special occasions like birthdays, graduation, or any other excuse to celebrate. They also fix "to go" boxes which I get to take to the ranch for a nice evening meal. We consider ourselves lucky to have T-Joes in our area for our "go to" place.

They got one of our orders wrong and we were overcharged. The waitress was friendly and the other order, a steak, was good. Just ok. Probably won't return.

High Plains Steakhouse - Dinner salad

High Plains Steakhouse

Food is awesome - service is not. I went one Thursday…read moreevening after work in March and I had been trying to get here for weeks. I was aware this is a new-ish place but I love steak houses - from basic supper clubs to high end establishments with history and culinary renown. I have traveled all of the US and have eaten some of the best steaks money can buy... I wanted this place to be gem so badly and for it to become my go to local favorite. Time will tell but my first trip was less than I had hoped - First I was asked to sit at the bar since I was "only one person". (Strike 1). I'm a big guy... you figure the hostess might have picked up on this fact... The place was dead ... so I didn't understand this. I guess it was about an hour until they officially close and maybe we're short staffed. The bartender / servers (there were two) - but they also handled the entire casino floor bar in addition to being my waiters so I received less than attentive service because of the sheer number of people they had to service. The restaurant bar is tucked on the backside of the main casino bar. (Strike 2). I would have easily been convinced to have a bottle of wine or at least a couple of glasses and I was leaning toward trying the Porterhouse (what I originally came for) but it took so long for someone to check on me I decided one beer and something quick to eat because I could see it wasn't going to be a the stellar experience I had hoped for. This is a shame - because the food ended up being awesome. From the bread service which was surprisingly delicious / to my salad (very good) and the 10oz filet(which was actually (2) 5oz medallions ) was perfectly seasoned and cooked at an exact medium rare as I ordered it. I also tried the Burgundy Demi-Glace which was spot on perfect as far as sauces go which really showcased the taste talents of the chef. The whipped potatoes were also fantastic - exactly as I like them and could have eaten two additional orders. I wish the menu or server would have described the filet as two medallions rather than one cut tenderloin as one would expect in a fine dining establishment - but nonetheless - I was delighted by the food. I skipped desert and coffee because I the server didn't come back to ask after dinner for quite some time and I decided perhaps I should get home... The service and lack of even the most basic of attention made me feel like I was putting the staff out for coming in at 8pm. Again - not the bar staff's fault entirely but the lack of understanding of the restaurant manager is more the issue. Call it a supper club or an upscale diner if a service doesn't come with the $46 steak. The restaurant is 20 minutes from my house and I could see eating there at least once per week - I will try again and hope they work out the kinks - but I'll drive to rib& chop in Cheyenne or Rare in Fort Collins until this place matures and level of service catches up with the food quality and price . - if you want to make High Plains Steakhouse a fine dinning destination - you need to step up the service and at least try to make all patrons feel as the experience is worth the price.

Little Bear Inn - Bear Balls for dessert! Rich ice cream, rolled in Oreo crumbles, drizzled with chocolate syrup in a bed of cream & raspberry: WOW!

The decor is part rustic, part casual, part strange, but very comfortable in a cozy way. It's probably as close to "fine dining" as you'll find in the Cheyenne area, with a high-end "country club" menu that doesn't look like it has changed much in 65 years. I mean, where else would you find Frog Legs in a Rocky Mountain restaurant with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and Perry Como on the background music? Steaks, chops, chicken, fish & shrimp will give any diner an array of choices. Everything we ordered was really very good (see pictures), not spectacular, but taste and quality was well worth the price. And, the bar knows how to mix great cocktails! Plus, service was OUTSTANDING, with our waitress, Cheyenne (seriously), who could not have been more helpful & pleasant all evening. Bottom line: I'm giving Little Bear Inn 4 solid stars, with one caveat if you'd like to get to 5 stars: I'm asking management to do a little more on plate presentation. The food is great, but it's served as if we are in a cafeteria, with no thought in the kitchen to making it "look pretty" before it gets to the table. I'm sure the kitchen can do better with some effort. A little more attention to making your dishes look as good as they taste would go a long way to keeping customers happy. I'll definitely be back, but I'm hoping for just a little more effort in dish presentation.
