I went to Texas roadhouse for the first time ever. I was pretty impressed. In my opinion, Texas roadhouse was just a steakhouse and their steaks were not anything to write home about, but I thought overall was pretty good and affordable. The loaded fries were really good. To me the rules were just rolls with butter, but they were pretty good. My waitress was friendly and informative about the menu offerings and size of dishes. Man o man! Love me a great steak!! Arriving here from the PNW to see my niece walk at her graduation today! So proud of her!! And at her request was to celebrate with Familia & Friends at the Texas Roadhouse! This place was hippity hopping and crazy packed- which already is a great sign. We were greeted by several of the staff and super friendly, as I'm sure they understood the wait times be seated may have been frustrating for some, but not us. Go with the flow and you'll be just fine. Once seated, I ordered the NY Steak Strip, and asked for it be smothered in mushrooms- so yum! My sides were the loaded mashed potatoes and Mac n Cheese. What a great trio combination. And of course, ya can't go wrong with them honey buttered rolls!! Been ages since I've had those, and delighted that it did not disappoint. All in all, the service was great, the food was superb, price was reasonable, and the wait was long where they had to coral us from one location to the next to where we were constantly in the way, but like I said, a special occasion requires a little patience. They asked where we were from & when they found out my husband was here for work for the next few years the manager brought over free steak seasoning & free app coupons! We've never felt so welcomed! Always one of our favorite as we travel the Countryside !! Getting some things fixed on the Coach, so dinner tonight was Texas Roadhouse !! Easy enough and we find the food consistently good. Walking inside... you instantly smell the smokey BBQ & the hot rolls ! It's 4:00, the line for seating is out the door & around the parking lot ! A very good sign !! . We walked past everyone to go sit at the bar.... not crowded and they have sports on most of the TV's. Country music videos on the center large one. It sets a very nice ambiance for eating a meal. We ordered beers and told our Bartender, Tance, we are not in any hurry. He was attentive, checking on us every now and then but not over bearing. He got us a basket of hot rolls as we looked over the menu. Ohhhh, they are really good. . My husband ordered the rib eye combo with ribs, sweet potato side & salad. I ordered the NY Steak with regular potato & veggie (broccoli & carrots). Both steaks were cooked to perfect temp, but we did find the BBQ ribs dry..... they were over cooked. They don't look it by the picture... but they were. My veggies were also perfectly cooked.... firm, how I like them. Overall.... We think it's always a sure bet with consistency & flavor. My new favorite place for steak! Besides the fabulous steaks, they make these incredible rolls with cinnamon butter. The sides were all great - between the six of us I think we had most of the sides. They even give you peanuts to munch on before your dinner. And the service was excellent. We'll definitely be back! read more

Delicious juicy steaks done exactly as ordered! Our family of 4 stopped at Texas Roadhouse in Cheyenne for dinner in Aug 2024 after a very long drive. We were very hungry and felt lucky to be seated though the parking lot and the restaurant were packed. This was just the beginning of our luck though :) We got an absolutely delicious food and received an exceptional service by our waitress Taylor. Even writing this review makes me nostalgic and wishing to go back :) We ordered Rattlesnake Bites for appetizer to share and we also got generous portions of house salad and delicious chili that came as a choice with entrees. I asked for blue cheese dressing for my salad and was surprised when Taylor offered to add crumbles as well! This is that "going extra mile" that makes the place to stand out! Thank you! For entrees we all got steaks (see below) and each was very flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked to the heat level ordered! They were just perfect and outstanding! We highly recommend Texas Roadhouse in Cheyenne if you are up for perfect steaks, exceptional service, and all that at a very reasonable price! It's Texas Roadhouse and they're all over the country, so you probably have an idea of what you're getting. They're all great, but this particular location seems ahead of the curve. The server and rest of the team were very friendly. The service was attentive, never rushed, but never seemed to be a long wait. The food was cooked as requested and the portions are always good sized. It wasn't overly loud at this location. I've been to some locations where it's crazy loud, but not this one at all. read more

Most of our visits the food is very good. The service is good but I wish he had a dedicated server as it seems every time somebody stops by the table it is a different person. What I least like is ambiance tends to include a lot of noise. This is one of Cheyenne's better restaurants. read more

For many years, I've eaten at Texas Roadhouse restaurants in at least 6 different states. Some have been very good while a few have been mediocre. Usually, my biggest gripes are with service and cleanliness. But, the food is seldom disappointing. That being said, this Cheyenne WY Texas Roadhouse location has an OUTSTANDING staff, providing 5-star service. And, the place is very clean, with a very comfortable country saloon ambiance, even when they're slammed on a Friday night with plenty of return local customers. Kudos to management! Food and drink is standard TR fare, always consistent, very tasty and generous portions. Their steaks are really great, and the catfish is terrific! We are traveling home to Ohio from Wyoming and it's been a few days since we last had a good meal. Texas Roadhouse is one of our favorites so we decided to eat there. Service was great, manager paid a visit to our table and gave us a free appetizer of our choice. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded at the time and it was a pleasant experience. My boyfriend and I went on November 5th for his birthday and this has to be one of the worst experiences I've had with Texas road house. Our waitress Hannah checked on us a total of three times during our hour long visit, she never asked us if we needed refills on our drinks and wasn't even the one to serve us our food. I didn't even get what i ordered and my steak was extremely Salty. We weren't even half way through our meal before she just dropped the bill off, didn't ask if we needed anything else or anything along those lines. Our service improved AFTER I told the manager about the poor experience that's when Hannah came checking to see if we needed anything but I had already paid. As a former waitress I can understand if it was busy but she had a total of two tables and that's including ours. Do better. read more

To be clear the food was great, steak was cooked just the way we ordered. Our place to sit was quiet and cozy. Our server however left some things to be desired. She came up to us 2 minutes after we sat down to take our order, we were not ready and felt a bit rushed. Then in the hour we sat there, we saw her maybe 3 times, we had to ask to have our drinks refilled, this happened once, and never again. I was done and my wife sat there with her knife over her plate for at least 10 minutes, which the server didn't see, because she was never there, we finally got our box, took a while longer to get an oversight on the bill fixed, and off we went. The food here is not bad but the quality of the steaks can be hit and miss. Same with the service. Drinks are the typical premade margaritas and are not made from scratch but are decent tasting for the quality. They won't be the worst you've had, but they won't be the best either. When ordering a to go order, make sure to check your order before you leave because they mess up to go orders all the time. We made a to go order about a week ago. When we showed up to pick it up, we were told they were just putting the salads together and it would be a few more minutes. About 20 minutes later, we still did not have our order and had to ask again about our order. Others were standing around waiting for their to-go orders as well. We were again told a few more minutes and our order would be ready. When we finally got it, we should have checked for errors because they messed it up as usual. The food was cold and they forgot the fries on one order and gave us the wrong salads with every dish. We also had someone else's ticket taped to our order. read more

I bring my family here whenever I'm crashing a great steak. I haven't been been disappointed until our last visit. I ordered a 24 oz ribeye medium rare. It was more rare than anything unfortunately, but the worst part is that it's had a mildew smell to it. Like a wet dishrag that you've been using to clean and haven't washed in a while. I didn't pipe up and say anything, my family's food came out good and we're were having a good time, so I kept quiet. There were 4 hosts a cashier and 5 customers waiting to get seated and I could count 10 empty tables from where I was standing. Great place to eat and great staff. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Steaks can be a little inconsistent with their cooking temps but everything else is good. Many times 4 to 10 years ago. I got thrown out one night because I told the manager you could cook a shoe and it would taste the same as anything else cooked there. She didn't appreciate my candor. What was amazing over the years was the changing shape and size of a ribeye. Growing up in Nebraska I'm quite familiar with what a ribeye is. I really appreciate the Veteran's meal they provide every year. It's the best one in Cheyenne. The service here is average. It's all very average for the price. read more
