This restaurant is so fun! It is like a game of iSpy with how many things cover every inch of this space. It has so much character. The menu is huge and a bit overwhelming. I settled on the Cajun chicken sand. My kids got the mac and cheese, and my husband got a steak. Everyone liked their food. All sandwiches and burgers come with unlimited fries. They already gave me enough fries on my plate though, so I did not need to ask for a refill of them. I really liked my sandwich! The chicken was perfectly cooked and nice and juicy, and it was very flavorful even with being chicken breast and not fried. I also got a vodka cranberry it was I believe $5 for the rail option which wasn't bad. This was not a happy hour price either. Overall, I am glad we stopped in! For dinner time there was a bit of a wait, but if you come during lunch time you should have no problem getting a table. read more

They have a very large menu so I recommend looking ahead of time to see what section you might have more interest in. Sanford'd Grub & Pub was the perfect stop for our cross country road trip. The place was adorable (and open on Black Friday !!). Walls lined with signs and drawings and objects that felt both kitschy and incredibly authentic. The servers were all so nice and walked us through the very extensive menu. The portions as you could imagine were HUGE ! Combos served on quarter baking sheets with multiple sides and refillable sodas. Although quite heavy, the food was really delicious and hit the spot after a long day of driving. My dad and brothers got the burgers and I got the burnt ends (which even as an appetizer portion, I couldn't finish. I'd recommend this spot to anyone in the area or driving by. Stopped in while staying in town for the night. Was very busy for a Sunday night and needed to wait around 45 minutes for a table. But that's ok because according to Reddit it's the best place in Cheyenne so it's worth the wait... After we were seated it didn't take long to get our order in. Appetizer was cheese fries loaded with bbq pork. Took the waitress recommendation to go with waffle fries because they held up better to the cheese sauce, which boy did they. This was the best thing we had all night. I ended up ordering the cordon bleu open faced sandwich. All I can say is meh. It was ok. It wasn't inedible but I was expecting more of a deli sliced ham and this appeared to be just cold cuts. I'd probably still go back. The menu is huge so something else on there has to be great for the restaurant to be so full. read more

Parking was not the best as we had to walk a little ways but it wasn't terrible. The service was so nice. Our waiter was amazing and answered all of our questions about the food. The food was amazing. I had the big country burger and it was amazing. We also ordered the big red Clifford dog off of the menu and it was Huge! Im talking bigger than a Costco hotdog. There are so many decorations to look at while you wait and if you don't come here for the food at-least come here for the decoration. Just tried sanford's grub and pub was passing through from utah to ohio and wanted a place to get nachos, or maybe some sort of like fajita taco salad.So I googled nachos, in cheyenne, wyoming, and this place came up, it was actually really, really good! The ambiance there is set in what appears to be an old car dealership or something to do with cars. And it's decorated very similar to a Quaker steak in Lou, but has its own touch. There's memorabilia all over the walls with license plates, car memorabilia, statues plus there's old road signs and old advertising signs as well! Let me just tell you that the portions are enormous. And the nachos were very, very good. My server was very accommodating, and I had a lot of questions about such as to what was served on the nachos, and he even said that he could put lettuce on it for me and he did! I went with my father and he got the shrimp tacos and those were really good too.We got a side of french fries that were sweet potato fries, and then we also got their famous onion rings, which were really, really good! read more

This place is a lot of fun. There's games, so much decor. You can't possibly see it all in one trip, and the food is delicious. Some days are good, some days are not as good but still delicious. I ordered the chicken club sandwich with onion strings and hubby had the bang bang shrimp tacos. My sandwich was cooked well and had great flavor. The spicy ranch dressing that came with it was so good. I really liked the onion strings. I thought they would be thick like onion rings, but they were thin and piled high. They were crispy and seasoned well. Hubby's tacos were served like fajitas, meaning he had to build them himself. Which was good, because his tortillas may have gotten a little soggy with all of the sauce that were on the shrimp. He really liked them. He ordered the fried green beans as a side. We love sanford's...drive a couple times a year to eat lunch there from Greeley. Have always had amazing service until today! Drove over an hour for lunch. Never have we had disappointing service until today! Our bill was over $145 for 5 of us and the waitress acted like we were an inconvenience! I felt rushed and like my concerns with our order weren't important enough for even I'm sorry let me fix it. I moved to Cheyenne about 2+ years ago. This eatery is one of the first restaurants I went to and I've been meaning to write a review for the longest time but this time I decided let's just do it. Both the food, the service and the fun atmosphere make this a wonderful eatery. The portions are large. The service is impeccable and all around a good experience. My favorite server, Jim, is always very attentive and since he knows me very well since I go there, he has my service dog's bowl of water and my diet soda ready for me as soon as I walk in. It makes you feel like you are family when you go there. You're not just an unfamiliar face. You're not just an unfamiliar face. They make you feel welcome and are polite and professional in manner. Today was Veterans Day and I took advantage of the discount they were giving to veterans and we got the redneck steak with the side as well as the potstickers and all tasted great and have lunch or dinner for the next day or so! This was the first restaurant we stopped by during our trip here due to the high recommendations we kept hearing from the locals. It was a jampacked with hungry customers, but we were seated in 20 minutes. The reviews about how crazy chaotic and huge food portions are so true! Everywhere you look the decoration is popping out at you whether it be a statue of a hotdog, or a neon light sign of the restaurant. It is hustling and bustling for though waiters and waitresses, but our waitress was definitely one of the nicest waitresses I have met! Anyways we started off with the spinach and artichoke dip. This was probably my least favorite of all the food we have eaten, but the portion was well worth a try. I just wish the dip was creamier. We will probably try something next time, but we were just so overwhelmed with how huge the menu was that we just decided to go with something safe. I don't think I can ever get over how huge my jambalaya dish was! I was able to eat this same dish for four days straight. Even my salad I got as a side dish looked as if it was made as an entrée. It's as if every single item was made family style, and I am a whole family. I did enjoy my jambalaya, and it was worth every penny for the amount I got. My fiancé seem to enjoy his chicken fried steak. And let me tell you, it is rare to see him get full after a meal, but boy was he full! There seems to be a long wait time always, but so far, it's been worth it. We put in for a party of 6 and then when we were getting seated, another person showed up. Within a minute, they were able to accommodate us. My suggestion would be to choose to go here if you are not in a big hurry. Service was wonderful. Our waitress was very attentive and responsive. Drinks were good. Burnt ends and onion rings, fried wontons, pulled pork fries, brisket mac and cheese, jambalaya penne, burgers. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food. While I've been through Cheyenne many times I've the years, I've never stayed. While working in northern Colorado, I decided to hop over the border and see what this town had to offer. Wandering through town close to 10pm, I realized I may not be able to find any food! Then I happened upon Sanford's! This restaurant is hard to explain as it has SO much character and flare everywhere, it's nearly impossible to pinpoint the theme. But in some way, I liked the "chaos"! I grabbed a seat at the bar as it was close to closing. I was promptly handed a beer and a menu. I ordered right away and may not have read the complete description of what I had actually ordered. The "Redneck Steak Dinner" came out and I almost gasped at what was presented to me! It was SO MUCH food that when I sent a picture of it to the S/O she ACCUSED ME OF BEING ON A DATE! . It was a justifiable question to ask as the portion size was more than enough to feed two people! BUT it was delicious! And I happily ate what I could, had it for breakfast, and used the last part of the steak as fuel for a hike! It MIGHT have been $25 at most??!! Overall, a great experience! This is a place in reference to the show Sanford and sons. Once you step inside, you will understand! Is this a " pay for the atmosphere " place? You might think so. I mean, the food was good and it was worth my time and money. However, I don't know if I would go back. I'm sure it was just the day that I was there but service was pretty slow, my food came out cold. Overall, it still had good flavor. I'm sure it was more tasty hot! Parking is a little bit of a pain because of its downtown location. We ended up parking in a paid lot across the way. It's located in a cute downtown though which is very walkable and quaint. Lots of murals in the alley behind the place. Bottom line: if you're in the area, stop by because it's a neat experience! Prices were decent as well so that's a plus! read more
