Railspur is an awesome spot just outside the downtown area. We were quickly greeted and never had a lapse in awesome service. The whole staff worked as a team getting orders and making drinks. I started off with a tequila drink, The Salty Cholo. It was a perfect balance of tang, and was not too sweet. Our table locked in on the birria and bison lettuce wrap tacos, and there were no regrets. The best birria tacos anyone had had (we had a few connoisseurs). There were many raves about the sauce in the lettuce wraps as well. Rounding out the top 3 tacos was the carne asada with an absolutely killer tomatillo sauce that I could have put a straw in if I wouldn't be judged. This new restaurant is such a fun and unique concept! The menu is creative, with an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients that really shine. Tried this spot for the first time and overall I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. I had pretty high expectations because I'd heard a lot of good things, and while there were some standout items, one issue kept this from being an easy five star experience. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with truffle fries as an extra side, and my wife had the birria tacos. We also ordered a strawberry boba horchata for me and a Kombucha Mule for her. The biggest issue was the amount of sauce. If you order anything with sauce, I'd recommend asking for it light. My buffalo chicken sandwich was absolutely drenched in buffalo sauce. By the time it reached the table, the inside of the bun was completely soaked, and every bite was overwhelmed by the strong vinegar flavor of the buffalo sauce. I even scraped a large amount of sauce off my plate, and I couldn't finish the sandwich because it became too much. The truffle fries had a similar issue. The fries themselves were excellent, but there was so much sauce that it eventually overpowered the dish. That said, there were plenty of positives. My wife thought the birria tacos were good, especially the crispy texture. I thought they were good too, although I personally would have liked a little more flavor in the meat. The regular fries that came with my sandwich were outstanding. They were golden, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. The biggest surprise of the night was the strawberry boba horchata. It was absolutely incredible and easily one of the best drinks I've ever had. The combination of horchata and boba was something I'd never seen before, and the sweetness was perfectly balanced. I will come back just for that drink. My wife's Kombucha Mule was also really good. Looking back, I probably should have mentioned the sauce issue to our server because I'm sure they would have made it right. I don't think the food itself was the problem. It just felt like the sauces were a little overdone that day. I'd definitely be willing to come back and try other menu items because the quality was there, and with a lighter hand on the sauce, I could easily see this being a strong 4.5 or even 5 star experience. read more

Was driving through Cheyenne and wanted to enjoy a quality dinner: this place did NOT disappoint! First off: amazing tap selection. They have a huge mix of different beer types from breweries ranging from Colorado to Montana. Bartenders are great and will def let you try stuff first. Food was delicious. We got the birria tacos and the burger: the meat juices and flavor was flowing and those fries soaked it all up with perfect crispness. Staff was kind and relaxed, just good people good at their jobs. Food is really just average and with a menu that only has a few items the food should be better. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich with no cheese and yet it arrives with cheese. She just scrapped it off and ate it. I got the gyro that again was just super average. I got a NA mule that was good at least. Service was pretty good. The food was just average. Fries were ok. Fun stop on the way to the rodeo. The staff were friendly and welcoming to their establishment. The kitchen is outside in a food truck but it works with the train ambiance and location and closeness to the train tracks. Food and drinks really hit the spot. My chicken sandwich was lightly breaded and included lots of extra fixings. The extra thick crispy pickles were welcomed. Great fries!!! Great list of draft beers and specialty drinks. I watched the staff explain how they made their margarita and I was surprised by the amount of work that goes into making it. If you love pirogies, then you have to come here for the deep fried pirogies! Filled with creamy potatoes and topped with birria and served with a bit of sour cream! You will absolutely love them! My husband ordered the WY Gyro & Fries and he said it was great. I ordered the Strawberry Horchata with Boba. it was way too sweet for me. I didn't care for the strawberry boba ball taste at all. Our waitress was super friendly and when she heard that I was an artist and loved the outside mural if Frida Kahlo on the building, she recommended we go to the alleyway behind the Paramount Café because there are a bunch of wall murals there. I appreciated her tip and we did get to go there and they are spectacular! So thanks for sharing that bit of Wyoming art and culture with us. we appreciate you! The inside if this restaurant has a good vibe, wall art, and a decent size bar area as well. There is outside seating, but the wind was whipping and it was a little too cold outside to enjoy that. We visited Railspur in September 2025. Had a great meal. It was a Friday night restaurant was a little quiet. Some coworkers were meeting for drinks. We found ourselves in Cheyenne again last week and decided to visit Railspur again. And we were not disappointed. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos and we had the fried truffle pierogis. The service was spot on as was the ambiance. We had several different staff members and the manager come by our table to check to see if we needed anything and asked how things were after we received our food. That's quality service! The place was busy which we are so happy to see. They have a full bar, but I ordered a white wine in my husband had a local IPA. It was a great evening. read more

Flew into the infamous Masonic Airport in Denver, CO, and made the drive out to Cheyenne. After landing, I was feeling a little hungry and hit the usual 30-plus minute Yelp scroll before stumbling on Railspur. It had a solid stack of reviews, averaging 4.5 stars, which is right where my bar sits when I'm deciding who's worthy enough to take my money. Walked in with the fam, got seated at the side booth, bar diner, and asked for their most popular items. We ordered, * Bison salad wraps (my first time ever trying bison, and it was bomb!) * Fried chicken sandwich * Cheeseburger * A side of fries * And the fried mortadella sticks to kick things off The appetizer came out quick and was fire. Everything else followed with solid flavor, music was door, and great vibe. I sampled a little of everything, not enough to say I had it all, but enough to know this place knows what they're doing. Shoutout to Joe, our server, who was super accommodating and easygoing. Another lady checked in on us here and there, just the right amount of attention without hovering. Service was excellent. Great food! Great staff! Met a good friend there for lunch, we both had the bison lettuce wraps and loved them. I'm told their Birria Tacos are excellent and even award winning, the reason this "food truck" restaurant started. We had a doggie with us so we sat outside in their patio. The staff gave us a bowl of ice water for Ms Liza. There are train tracks in the area and one went by while we were there but not disruptive.
