We went here for lunch during the week so it wasn't crowded at all. We were seated right away. We ordered the bison ribs, which came with 2 sides each. We got the mashed potatoes, fries, bacon mac n cheese, and onion rings. The ribs were pretty good but everything else (except onion rings) tasted old, like they had just been microwaved. The sides were not good. If we had to pay full price for these, we would be so sad lol! Service was great though! Bathrooms were clean too! But there were a few flies that kept bothering us lol, which wasn't a big deal considering we were at a farm! Tip: check Groupon! We got a Groupon for the train ride and bison ribs!

We were staying at the RV Park at the ranch and decided to try out the restaurant onsite. First of all we had a great waitress, pleasant and attentive. I ordered the trout and husband the Philly Cheese steak sandwich with prime rib. He thought it had a good flavor but would have preferred more onions and smaller pieces of meat. My Trout was good, however I would have preferred a more robust flavoring. The location was fun and having live music made for a more enjoyable time.

Not sure why the bad reviews. The staff was awesome & friendly. Real local cowboys coming in for lunch. Dirt on their boots & under their fingernails. My kinda place! After eyeballing the menu I noticed they had Rocky Mountain Oysters aka Bull Balls. Yes real balls, ya know testicles! Dem boy sacks. LOL. I've never had them before and vowed to try them before this trip out west was over. And hey, what better place to have them than at a Bison ranch! What I encountered was life changing. Nothing at all what I expected. Waaaaay better. Think tender chicken gizzards. That's the best description I can give. My friend who swore he would never eat them tried them and loved them! He shocked himself. I also ordered the short ribs with Mac & cheese and broccoli cheddar soup. The ribs were tender & the soup was very good. A little salty but very good. But our waitress was top notch. Fun & patient. Would definitely recommend it & will be back if I'm ever out west again. Do It! Visited on 5-11-2019

Nice old-west atmosphere. While at the Terry Bison Ranch, we fed and petted the bison on the little train ride, and had the privilege of eating bison for dinner (and then again for breakfast.) Wife and I split a bison ribeye. I am not used to gamey meat, but it was tasty, if a bit grisly in places. Pretty nice loaded baked potato as a side dish, could have used more toppings (shredded cheese...?) and nice fresh side salad. Server wasn't coming around very often. The most expensive meal of our honeymoon, even though we were splitting the steak. Still, only about $70 out the door.

The first thing is that the place was about 2/3 full and they seem pretty well staffed in the front of the house. There were 2-3 bartenders behind the bar at all times. After we ordered (2 cups of lobster bisque and bread), our server apologized and told us there was a large party in their private room and the chef was having a hard time keeping up. I can't imagine they normally only have one person preparing all of the food on a normal Saturday evening! It took no less than 45 minutes from when we ordered to get our food. Some olives or something would have been nice. My mom also had to wait 15 mins for her 2nd glass of wine. I'll tell you, we weren't going to order anything else after that! There was some really nice classical guitar music by a live musician. I tipped him on our way out. After we left, we noticed a $5 entertainment charge! Is this a norm in Colorado? I would think we would be informed upon entering if there's a cover fee or an additional charge. I would have been happy to pay it, but we should have been informed.

Let's start with the food: House salad consisted of lettuce, two tomatoes, two pieces of cucumber and some nasty ranch dressing. I couldn't eat the salad because the dressing was nasty. Filet mignon was cooked to the right temperature, but it was gristly on the inside You would think being in Wyoming, you would get a good piece of piece of meat. Especially for the prices you pay. So it was like 8 o'clock at night and I sat at the bar. There was only three other patrons at the bar service was extremely slow. Half the time I had no idea where the server went. So I had to wait to get another drink. When I ordered another beer, they brought me the wrong type of beer than what I was drinking I ordered food to go to take back to my kid in the hotel room. And when I was done, eating my meal. They asked me if I wanted anything else so I asked how's that takeout order coming and the waitress commented. Oh, I totally forgot. So they did comp the takeout but had to sit there for another 20 to 30 minutes waiting for it The place was not busy, very disappointed in this particular chophouse. Not sure if I would take a chance returning
