One star is one too many for this dishonest business in Brooklyn -BUYER BEWARE - APPIA Marble & Granite is a scamming business as owner Andre C - (his name will be updated as soon as I am able to locate it )on 62nd St in Brooklyn - this is not a granite marble company you want to deal with - My granite cracked immediately upon installation and Andre the owner promised to remedy this by replacing the cracked granite which I had paid for. Take it from someone who invested hugely in my home - granite only to be left with sloppy installation with cracked granite - Also owner does not want to give you completion invoices as he claims he is under audit with the IRS and perhaps other agency's - if I can turn the clock back I would have found another granite marble fabricator. We hired them and selected granite for our huge job in our new home - a huge investment- to say the least. BIG BIG MISTAKE - PLEASE READ EVERYTHING I WRITE before you go with this company check them out with the Better Business Bureau and the consumers report and any home improvement agencies as I have found many issues with this company. You will save yourselves your money - heartbreak and from a dishonest company. They installed granite in a very sloppy manner and it cracked immediately upon installation- The was owner was immediately contacted to remedy this big mess however only to say they will take care of it to the point of over 25 plus calls that they will not replace it and we are at loss with our investment in our home that has to be twice costly to redo -left with a huge crack that is getting worse by the day and none of their installation of the granite was done properly. Unfortunately - a huge mistake to select this company that was a referral through a contractor who at the last moment also realized this company is a huge Scam. Operates in cash only only - uses that to say he is discounting -they did supply an invoice - however the amounts paid were under what we paid - Andre said he would correct the invoices and redo this job only yo tell me the company trashed the remainder of the slabs which is the most awful lie any company can give you. The granite job is horrific with the cracks right upon completion of installation which leads me to believe he used bad damaged slabs and his workers did not install properly as my General contractor said upon inspection - extremely sloppy installation - they do not fix the areas in your home they cut into leaving open unfinished areas on the walls - Andre the owner never returns calls or is always out on a job or meeting when in fact he is in his office as I have been there several times-I am awed at how much money I lost and the extreme heart break this has caused my family to have to have this job redone also my walls , French door and cabinets will have to be removed as well. Unfortunately - I have had to file legal action and complaints to several bureaus to remedy this huge loss. I will update the results and post pictures once my legal case is completed as I am in the midst legal action. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS DIS-HONEST BUSINESS- another thing - Andre the owner does not show the slabs to you - you pick out your granite through 14 by 10 inch samples - you need to see entire slab- yet again another dishonest maneuver. One thing you must do is examine the slabs you are purchasing and not rely on the company. Something that was mistake of my own to place to much trust so money for my granite from this company. Also this company is under several audits and investigation after looking into this business. Once again he refuses to replace after promising to do so - his response was that I would get tired and go away- not after an almost 20k investment in my granite fir kitchen and porch. Appia did a terrific job fabricating and installing a Carrara marble countertop for our remodeled kitchen. Andre provided an estimate on the spot in his showroom, and quoted a price that was very competitive. When the project kicked into gear, he was able to send his template crew within 24 hours. I initially was a tad nervous about their using old world templating techniques rather than lasers. But as they got down to business, it became clear they knew exactly what they are doing. The subsequent fabrication was completed in a few days, and a week later the team was back to install the counter. They worked neatly and efficiently, and made sure I was happy with the installation before leaving. Overall, we couldn't be happier. I just re-did my kitchen and purchased my Quartz counter tops at Appia marble and Granite. I have always had some Formica or laminated counters so this was a big leap for me. It couldn't have went any smoother. Meeting Andre and Marisol in the showroom to the final installation was a pleasure.
